They definitely have small town hours, but also small town service – everyone is super nice and helpful. They have a nice selection of kids books and I’ve been enjoying the free ebooks! As a bonus, there’s an awesome playground right behind the library!

Love the Lorton Library! It’s a small community library with friendly staff and excellent newly released book selections. I always feel welcomed there and actually enjoy the small size — as I can get in and out in less than 5 minutes if I’m just picking up a book on hold. Also — always plenty of parking.

This small little community branch library has no frills, but seriously delivers on good service. A great used book sale collection, popular circulation collection with excellently curated books for avid fiction readers as well as children’s lit, non-fiction and regional history books. It boasts a massive selection of books on CD which is great for the commuter along the Richmond Highway/RT 1, and for those looking to spend longer in the library, the WiFi is excellent, with plenty of desks, plugs and even a special quite study room. For those who need internet AND computer, their«computer lab» is large(maybe 8 computers) and well-managed. It’s small, it’s plain, but it’s everything a library should be, and the 10,000+ people who use it every year, know what a great asset it is to the community and to their lives.

Very friendly and helpful staff, free and fast wifi, and not usually crowded. There are also a bunch of computers(15 or so?) that you can use to access the internet. Very nice community library.

The librarians at Lorton Library are really helpful and kind. I come to Lorton library if I am in the area and always leave with a few books. I feel that the selection isn’t too large, but that may just be because I haven’t come here too often… I’ve spoken to my neighbors in passing about the library and my lil Bugsy(he’s five and so adorable) prefers Lorton because they have more Star Wars graphic novel style books. The hours are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 am — 6 pm Tuesday and Thursday: 1 pm — 9 pm Saturday: 10am — 5 pm Sunday: CLOSED Harry Lattimore Park is also across the street from the library.
