This is a hidden gem I took an astronomy class a while back It was a requirement of the lab class to visit the Observatory at least once Bring a warm jacket because it gets chilly and windy sometimes It can get crowded and some people like to cut in line :/so just be patient Looking through the telescope isn’t all that exciting LOL But just going out and being under the stars is the exciting part Kinda romantic if you ask me but what do I know

This is really neat. Right in the heart of the valley, a college observatory you can go to and learn a lot about astronomy and see some really interesting stuff through their telescope. On Friday nights from 9pm-11pm you can go to see things in the night sky, and on Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm you can go to see solar activity. The best part of this is that it is entirely free for admission to the observatory during those hours, you just have to pay a couple of bucks for parking at the college. On the Friday night I was there, I got to see Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, a nebula, and some passing satellites. Pretty neat stuff, and the staff there is very knowledgeable. Not too many people when I was there, but if word gets out it could get busier…
