Los Altos Dry Cleaners

After using a few other dry cleaners in Los Altos, I’ve been a happy customer of Los Altos Dry Cleaners for several years. Reliable, friendly and good prices.
Los Altos Dry Cleaners was closed one day for a special event. I walked to 3 other dry cleaners in town and priced out cleaning a few items. Two of the dry cleaners were 2X the price. One was about the same but doubled as a nail salon.
One day I was waiting behind I man who had asked for a hole in his jacket to be sewn up. The cleaners has done so but he said he didn’t want to pay for the work because he now noticed another hole and still couldn’t wear the suit. He was blaming the owners for not finding the other hole. The owner was handling it very professionally but it did make me appreciate how difficult some customers can be.

Love this place. I tried two different places in downtown before finding this dry cleaner. They have taken great care of my clothes for the last two years. The owners and staff are super friendly too. They also do all my alterations, from gowns to jeans to work pants.
I highly recommend this business.

I’ve been coming here for close to 9 years. I’ve loved getting to know Gui and her family. They are always so friendly and happy to take care of any cleaning emergencies I’ve had.
They are also the BEST at starching in the area. I grew up as a military brat and used to a certain standard of Heavy Starch in men’s shirts and jeans.
This place gets it right. They also happily mark areas that I think need more attention, they do drapes, blankets, wool, leather.
They’ve also been responsive to quick turnarounds for when I get asked to travel at the last minute and need stuff done fast.

I would never use this company again. Shirt collars, and suits, would often come back still soiled. We repeatedly brought items back, and even on the second cleaning, they were still not clean. I’m astonished that after a customer specifically points out a problem to the owner, and brings things to be re-​done, they come back still dirty. No sense of customer service here.
