I am impressed. I’m a Afro-Caribbean Latina with curly, frizzy, nappy hair and have been hesitant to go to any stylist that isn’t Afro-Caribbean or has handled my type of hair before. Rebecca Wraxall did a fantastic job washing and drying my hair. However, I wish she had applied a little more heat with the blow dryer because my hair wasn’t as sleek as it usually gets and it didn’t last quite as long. I also noticed that she didn’t massage my scalp enough when washing but I’d definitely go back and give her another shot. She was knowledgable, friendly and did not try to sell me anything.

Narsis is wonderful. She has a great little salon in downtown los altos. She is fast, friendly(but not overly chatty) and makes my long, thick, sort of wavy asian hair look fabulously full and casual(very california) — not overly styled, waved, or straightened. Highly recommend. Expensive but normal for this area.

Disappointed. I brought in a picture, in fact I showed and kept showing 7 pictures of the cut I wanted. Didn’t happen. I kept showing it again and again, didn’t happen. Wasn’t what I wanted or asked for. I don’t know what else to do if pictures don’t describe it best. I said this is nothing like the picture. $ 65 for a cut I didn’t want, Level of expertise… I don’t know. I know I won’t be going back. As for Narsis herself, I liked her alot. But I’m paying for a cut, and service, not person.

Had my hair done here for the first time today and was absolutely satisfied. She did an amazing job and is such a sweet lady. I showed her one picture off of Pinterest showing the kind of blonde ombré I wanted and she dyed and styled it almost perfectly to match. I love my new hair and will definitely be getting my hair done by her from now on!

Hands down, the worst highlights I’ve ever gotten. Just awful. I have different shades of blond going on, entire areas that didn’t even get highlighted. She didn’t do them close to the roots, so I’ve had roots showing since the second she was finished. There’s a crooked«line» on one side, I I haven’t been able to wear my hair in certain ways for the last eight weeks. The cut was piss-poor, I can’t believe I was even charged for it. This was actually the result of my repeat highlights. I had to get them completely re-done because they didn’t «take» the first time.

When I retired a year ago, I wanted to find a fabulous hairdresser in downtown Los Altos who was warm and welcoming and a salon that was elegant and soothing. I found it all in Narsis and couldn’t be more pleased. I love what she has done with my hair and how she helped me find a new look in retirement. After the first visit, I was so impressed that I never even had a second thought about my former hair dresser in Menlo Park and I had been going there for over a decade. Narsis is the best!

I came here for haircuts and makeup in the past, but this time I decided to be daring and get my hair highlighted(which I had only done once at a different salon, and the results were not what i wanted). I brough Narsis pictures of different highlight styles that I liked, and using her book of samples, she found the perfect combination to create my color. I have olive skin, and she used a bronze mixed with gold. My hair is very curly, and Narsis knew EXACTLY how to cut it in a «U» shape to create a full look. My part is also stubborn to change, but Narsis was able to move it without it finding its way back. Her highlights were so good, my hair was really glowing! I came in with a dry mop on my head and left feeling like a glowing goddess. I won’t go anywhere else when it comes to my hair. I referred my friend and she got an «ombré» style that was beautiful on her too! When it comes to hair, the world definately needs more Narsis stylists! Try her and you won’t be disappointed. I live 25 miles away and the drive is well worth it.

I’ve just returned from my first appointment with Narsis and she is amazing, both in her craft and personality! She is incredibly skilled at taming and cutting Asian hair(it is very difficult to find anyone who can master my unruly locks). Note: If you bring in a picture, she will cut/style your hair to look identical to the model in the picture.

While here on vacation from NYC, I decided to go for a blow-out at this adorable salon. I wasn’t sure if walk-ins were welcome, so the warm reception of my entrance was quite flattering and lovely. Narsis(the owner herself!) took me in and gave me the best scalp massage when washing my hair. The blow-out after was gentle, quick and precisely rendered to my instructions. The friendly chit chat and the reasonable price made this visit an all-around wonderful experience.(As she was finishing up with my hair, one of her returning customers came in and I had the chance to see the beautiful job Narsis had recently done with her customer’s color and highlight. I may have to make another trip from NYC next time I’m due for a color!)

For no particular reason, I wanted to try a new hairdresser, and went to Narsis Salon this afternoon. I am very pleased with the result. I have a lot of grey in my hair, which often tempts hairdressers to suggest I color my hair to their own taste. I have always liked my grey hair, as it resembles hi-lights, and was over the moon when Narsis complimented me on keeping it natural. She also listened to how I wanted my hair cut and styled, and did exactly as asked, only making suggestions about optimizing where I part it. I felt appreciated for the way I am, and shall return, especially as I looked so nice leaving the salon!

Drove all the way from East Bay to get my hair done at Narsis Salon. The place is very cute. Farzana offered me free coffee and biscuit, thats a plus! So far my hair still looks great(Brazilian Blowout). I like the ventilation machine, you won’t smell any chemicals throughout the process.

Great new salon! Narsis was great! She’s friendly, easy to work with and versatile! My mom had discovered her the week or two before I went in, so she recommended that I check her out myself. I was a bit hesitant since not many people know how to handle thick(and I mean THICK!) Asian hair, but she was able to do it! I was in and out in about 40 minutes, which included a shampoo, cut and blowdry! I was beyond satisfied with my cut.

I think I’ve found *the one*! I’ve been looking for a high-quality, reliable, and knowledgeable hair-stylist for the past six years, and have tried about a dozen or so salons in the process. On a whim, I decided to try Narsis due to the Unilocal deal advertised. Most stylists I’ve met don’t know how to deal with my thick, coarse, slightly wavy, black(Asian-American) hair. To reduce volume and provide texture, they often rely on razors, thinning shears, and flat irons, which results in ugly, fried, chopped-up looking hair. It’s not a good look. I’m also allergic to most hair dyes. Other salons’ fix? To add Sweet ‘n’ Low — as in potentially cancer-causing saccharine — to already chemically-loaded hair dyes. It stops the dye from itching and burning my scalp — during the dying process. But a day later, I have dry, flaky, itchy, inflamed scalp that takes me months to treat at home to calm down. But THANKFULLY, not Narsis!!! Not once did she pull out razor blades or thinning shears! Instead, she masterfully used scissor-only technique to craft a beautifully-layered A-line long bob. My hair looks soft, sleek, and textured, not chewed up at all! She also uses ammonia-free hair dyes that I had absolutely no reaction to — with no Sweet ‘n’ Low needed! The color is deep and penetrating, and even a few days later, I’m flake and itch free — it’s liberating!!! I also love that Narsis uses Moroccon argan oil, which adds a luscious softness and shine to hair. I’m thrilled!!! Thanks Narsis, and thanks Unilocal!!!

Narsis Salon was the best salon experience I have had in a while. I had a clear idea of the type of haircut I wanted(based on a picture) and I showed Narsis the picture and she gave me EXACTLY the cut and style I wanted. The salon is comfortable and welcoming as is Narsis. It’s rare to find such a great combo of excellent service and amazing skills! Thank you Narsis, I’ll see you in 6 weeks :)

Skill: good. Knows how to cut curly hair. Service: excellent. As a new client, it takes a little time for client and stylist to figure out exactly what the client wants. After my first cut, I decided I wanted a few things changed. Narsis had me return and worked on my hair for free to make me completely satisfied. Atmosphere of salon: excellent. Pretty. Stylish. Free coffee and cookies!

Narsis Salon was such a great experience. Narsis herself did my hair, and the cut and blow dry was the best I have ever had!!! She was so nice and did such a good job. My friend had recommended Narsis to me and I live just over 20 min away from the salon and it was well worth the trip! I will be coming back here everytime. She even told me that would should accommodate me outside of business hours or for a special event if I made an appointment. So happy with my look!
