I LOVED this place! There was only one waitress, and she was super nice! I actually planned to go to other korean pub but my friend and I decided to try a new place since this place has happy hour 5 – 9 pm. All their food(ahn joo) tasted soooo GOOD!

You can tell the owners of this place got real creative with naming it, as it really is on the 2nd floor. Unfortunately when my group visited we missed the happy hour, but we still had a pretty good time. With a group of 9 people we still managed to get a table right away. The place wasn’t too packed, which was a bit concerning considering we came through on a Saturday around 11pm. I’m not a germaphobe, but I thought the place was more on the dirty side of the spectrum. When I went to bathroom one urinals was completely full and not functioning, but I did get to see a drunk guy not notice this and get piss all over his shoes. The service here was great. Every time we wanted to order something new we were helped right away. My group got the Corn Cheese, which was alright. I thought the texture of the corn was a little weird, but tasted fine. We also go an order of Rabokki and that was wayyy too spicy. I think I’m pretty good at handling spicy foods and after just a few bites I was sweating. Overall, my experience here was alright but I wouldn’t mind coming again to try again.

Great place! Yummy food and good service! Younger crowd and lively atmosphere. cool décor! Would definitely suggest trying it if you want a chill drink with a friend! I really like the choong mu kimbap which isnt usually bar food. the fire chicken is good too if you like spicy. i have yet to try the happy hour but cant go wrong with 50% off. will continue to frequent 2nd floor~

Everything was just above average. Had kimchi pancake, chicken wings, 2 cass and a soju. All for about $ 60 Tasted clean and delicious and lighting was not bright but lightly lit. I’ll come back

I haven’t been here for happy hour, but I really want to! Service was so great. I get ignored a lot because I look really young and generally, younger people don’t tip as well, but that was not the case here! I haven’t actually had their food, but their watermelon was soo good. Like. SOFREAKIGNGOOD i wanted to take it home with me but I obviously. could not. only downside is that it’s the most ghetto looking place ever from the outside. super shady but it’s nice on the inside! do not judge a book by its cover lol. that really applies here. haha

I wanted to love this place and was delighted when we walked in for soju before dining at a Korean bbq place across the street. As we sipped soju, nibbled veggies with a really delicious spicy paste, and marveled at the k-pop video craziness I was like AMAZING! then came time to pay and leave, we couldn’t find our server and when he finally reappeared seemed upset that we weren’t eating, which was the first thing we said before sitting down. If I am in the area I will try again.

I come here at least once a week because I love their happy hour. They offer happy hour on the weekdays(I don’t know the exact time). They offer 50% off up until 9 p.m. which is super awesome if you’re going there for food and drinks with friends. :) Their food is good and what can go wrong with 50% soju and beer?! The service is also great. The workers are friendly and are super attentive, which i like. The atmosphere is trendy and clean inside. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves to eat and drink, but make sure to go during their happy hour. :)

Came here for a birthday party on a Saturday night. Bravo on service. They were quick and efficient. I had seen a picture online and I asked the waiter to put in a order for me. Right away he said«It sucks. order something else» LOL wow. Such honesty. I liked it. So I put in another order and he didn’t make any comments so I felt it was safe. We ordered the: French Fries — McDonalds fries. Yum. McDonalds would cost us $ 3 max. I don’t understand why it costed $ 10. Pork belly with sauteed Kimchee — This is the simplest dish in the world. We got a huge stack of kimchee and a tiny bit of Pork –_-. It tasted great but such a rip for $ 18. Chicken Gizzard — Blegh. The batter was whack. $ 13 Overall our meal was disappointing and expensive. Wont be back.

Place is a joke. Friday night 8pm, full house, every table orders a couple of plates. My french fries took 1 hr+ to come out and I’m not exaggerating. Servers(all definitely no-experience newbies) scramble around achieving nothing, no table waiting skills or attentiveness at all. Call button is useless, I pressed 4 – 5 times to get no response. Oh the tables are dirty, sticky, menu is a greasy mess.

My friend who is a regular here did all the ordering. I was starving but had to eat healthy before a wedding that weekend. I loved the bean paste that came with the veggies; it was so good. The soup was alright. And the salad dish with the meats were amazing too. I don’t know the name of it either, sorry. How can I forget the pig feet. The thought of it sounded kind of gross, but I’ve had worse and I like to try new things so why not. I loved it! I thought it would be the hard part of the pig feet, but it wasn’t. You have to try this dish! lol Also, we ordered the food with alcohol; it was great. We stuffed our faces, or at least I did because my friend had already eaten earlier.

The plaza looks hella janky, and the stairs are a bit scary/stinky, but once I got to the second floor I was pleasantly surprised by this spacious urban lounge. The bar has an industrial street vibe and mesmerizing k-pop music videos on every screen. Garlic fries were okay; pricing is also fair. Good for large groups looking for a chill place to drink and eat some authentic Korean bar food. Bad for people watching and mingling.

Something reeks of soju and it isn’t Bbuh Koo Kee anymore. They’ve remodeled as the 2nd Floor Soju Lounge and it’s poppin’. Although, I wish they would’ve done this a few years back. I think the expiration date for the soju bar craze is slowly approaching. With places like Gaam and HEU still open, I don’t really see anything special other than the usual. The parking is like crap. You’ll know what I mean when you notice that it’s located right on the corner of Vermont & James M Wood. In a tiny business complex, with not enough self parking to spare. Valet is available, but 2 bucks to self park your own car. RIDICULOUS. I can sense that the crowd is at least 10 years younger than me, on average. That doesn’t make me feel any younger. Drama usually accompanies the hipster crowd, with drunk idiots causing a scene. The smoking patio outside is just full of noise and cigarettes, bound to attract the Po Po’s attention in the future. Service was just lacking. Nobody seemed to really care that I ordered a Steamed Egg and that the order was never placed. I asked 3 times — crickets were chirping. I would say the business needs to work out its growing pains, but it’s been open since mid last year so I don’t know what excuse they have. They did comp me a FREE bottle of soju, which IMO helps or doesn’t. TIP — get your drink on between the hours of 5pm to 9pm daily, with food and alcohol being 50% off.

The 2nd Floor Soju Lounge is really on the second floor! ;) This place opened probably a year ago. It is a bit on the dark side as you go in through the main entrance with stairs leading up. The first thing I noticed was K-Pop videos being played in a nice sound system, green neon lights, a few windows, and I think a balcony for smoking. We were warmly greeted by waiters on the way in as we got seated. This place is not that big, and I think they’re still in the process of building up the business. It’s quite dark inside as we sat on wooden furniture. The ambiance seemed a bit old and rustic with unfinished flooring. It’s probably their theme to have this old rustic feeling. I thought it was neat to be in a different feeling environment if compared to other bar/lounges. We had beer and soju the whole evening, and we also ordered noodles and appetizers with the drinks. The food is okay here. It won’t be your typical dinner venue, but rather food with beer. Basically it’s a nice place to hang out for a get together. The service was outstanding. Having Korean speaking friends probably made it better. I’m always thankful for good service. Yes, a less crowded cool place to hang out. I would come back. The biggest issue is finding parking. The small lot is always full and driving around the neighborhood looking for parking is no bueno! Be safe as you walk around there since it is a bit dark around. Overall, I will give this place four stars. I know parking stinks, and the area is a bit shady. It’s a hurdle that can be worked on.

On our particular visit, there was nobody in 2nd floor soju lounge. We got there a bit early on a Monday night. I don’t think I’ve ever sufferer slower service, unless you count go pocha, but that place was at least packed. I think they told us there was only 1 chef, but come on waiting for 1.5 hours for all the food we ordered to come is pretty bad because by that time there was maybe like 4 tables full… Especially when it’s things like fries, ton dak, soups, and fried chicken. Bar food usually comes a lot faster. Half off everything happy hour, so I can’t complain too much. The food is on par with all other kbar experiences, but the experience itself needs a little work. It would be nice if they played sports on those TVs of theirs. It is after all, Monday night football.

tho parking can be quite terrible(Street park if you can) service is good. food is good. and happy hour til 10pm is GREAT. had a bday here recently of almost 15 people. we had endless amounts of food and drinks and it only came out to be TWENTYDOLLARS A PERSON including tip. insane. they play good music. huge screens playing music videos and an outside area to smoke. everything we ordered was pretty good and have no complaints(except parking) but then again it’s l.a. so what else can I expect~

This place is the new hot spot. Used to be Bbuk gook Ee but now is 2nd Floor. The atmosphere changed to be more hip and young. Good music and hot servers! Most importantly the food is bomb.
