We got a green blended milk tea(slushie) and a taro slushie. They ran out of boba for the night(around 9 pm) but the lady at the counter was nice. The flavors were good. We also got a red bean bun, which was yummy(soft bun and nicely smooth red bean paste). I will be back!

Not a legit boba place– the girl was very nice though. They use concentrated syrups and everything is wayyyyy too sweet. I got the peach tea boba and the sugar content made we want to dump it out. Ended up diluting it with a half bottle of water(that’s all I had) and it was still a bit too sweet. The chocolate croissant pastry I got with check in was okay.

Thee worst boba I’ve ever tried in my entire life. I got the taro slush. The mister got a cookies and cream boba. With a free red bean pastry for when you check into Unilocal. The taro was rich in color(purple) but tasted much too watered down. Perhaps not enough powder. I’m not sure. But it tasted like next-day, left over, refrigerated boba. Bleh! Seriously not worth coming here. Oh and the community in which it’s located is so ghetto. GOELSEWHERE! trust me.

Apples is located right next to my work so it’s my go-to place when craving carbs and sweets. Although the bakery is tiny, they have a good selection of boba, slush, teas, bread, cakes and sandwiches. My favorite combo is the Tuna sandwich roll($ 4.50), and add any drink for .50 more. When I stop by too early before work and sandwiches aren’t ready, the chef whips up something bomb quickly. Apples always has sweet deals so stop by and try one of their goodies!

THEHOURSLISTEDON UnilocalAREWRONG!!! It opens at 7 during weekdays and 9 during weekends. Can’t remember when it closes. 5 stars for the cheap pastries and good drinks! I love their castella, so soft, spongy, and flavorful! Their mocha rolls are really good too. If you want cheap, good pastries, this is the right place to go to! Oh, 5 stars for the great service too! The girl at the counter is friendly and answers all of your questions.

Good for needing your Boba craving and the baked goods are fresh. They have a good cake selection and a clean display. Boba was fast and seems very fresh as I could smell it cooking. Would go there again if I wasn’t too calorie conscious, but good for your sweet fix!

The milk tea here is really good! They also have a free Unilocal check in offer for a free pastry if u purchase any boba drink! I’m kinda scared to eat their pastries tho because I saw a bunch of molds on the roll cakes haha. But I let the nice guy working there know that there was mild in their pastries and he quickly took care of them. But yeah their milk tea is bomb!

Randomly decided to try this place instead of boba time like a block away. I got the almond tea with boba. I’ve never had almond tea the way this place makes it so it was a surprise for me. But I like it!!! The boba is at the perfect texture but sadly very tasteless. If only it’s a little but sweeter! Unilocal lets you redeem a piece of pastry so I was really happy! :D. The people here are also really nice and chill! This is def gonna be one of my secret spots!

Apples Bakery has been my new go to spot for boba and little pastries! Summer is almost here and when the heat comes in, I NEED to have my boba(pretty much everyday lol). My personal favorite is their milk tea and this walnut cake they have. it’s not really a cake… its like this giant square bread with nuts and cream. so good. there is a parking lot in the back or plenty of street parking!

This place is legit, good bakery items and boba-type drinks. Dude working the counter was helpful/friendly and I ended up getting wayyy too many delicious breads which were washed down by a pistachio drink. Worth checking out unless you live an unfulfilling carb-free life.

I’m thrilled to say that I was the first of(soon to be) many to enjoy this gem in the heart of LA. If you happen to take a stroll down Vermont ave stop by and ask for«Dave». He’ll be sure your order surpasses all expectations you walked in with. Everything in the bakery is made on location same day. I suggest making multiple rounds since every item has a unique texture and flavor. Cookies to cakes, they have it all. I was also given a sample of 2 drinks Horchata(rice water) & boba mocha. The hot chats rice was as authentic as can be, not too sweet, not too thick and excluded the cinnamon(which I prefer). After trying both and only having an appetite for one I went with the boba. No doubt about it, I will be back for that horchata. Easily«5 stars» all around Enjoy!

My friends and I were walking down Vermont on the way to a coffee shop when we saw this place and decided to check it out. The bakery just opened up and offers baked goods and boba drinks. Shout out to the owner David. He was really sweet and chill guy. For the grand opening he gave us a bunch of samples to try and wanted our opinions on what we liked. It’s really nice to see someone who is clearly passionate about what they’re doing. We tried the walnut cake, sponge cake, horchata, and some of the shortbread cookies. The sponge cake is really fluffy and light, not heavy at all. The mocha blended drink with boba was amazing. I got the ice coffee and it was delicious. He said the coffee they use is from Andante on Beverly. Will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem. I can’t wait to see what they’ll have to offer in the future.
