Thai Original BBQ

Ordered for delivery. Got the yellow curry and they forgot my rice. Lady said they dont serve curry with rice which is surprising to me because I’ve never eaten curry without rice in my entire life. It was basically a container with curry sauce and I guess I’m supposed to drink it for dinner. Called and the lady said she can’t help me since rice is only a couple of dollars and they dont want to delivery such a small item. If I had a car I’d just go and buy some locally hence why I got it delivered. I also tried the curry and seriously almost puked. I’m not sure if it’s because I was drinking it like soup or because it tasted like buffalo diarrhea. I’ll be VERY surprised if any thai people actually eat here. This is like the Del Taco of Thai food.

Ordered from grub hub I had the pad Thai with tofu which was pretty good. However, they didn’t send my Thai iced tea and they did not send any soy sauce or chili sauce which all other places do. Next time I’ll order from a different location and not this one.

They replaced the coconut milk used in curries with straight up WATER. WTF is wrong with this place? Did they think customers wouldn’t notice such a drastic change in taste? Their curries are now basically water, salt, and a bit of curry paste. How do you switch out such a fundamental part of thai curry? Anyway, NEVER AGAIN.

Bad. Ordered through GrubHub. Immediately got a call that they didn’t know what one of the items I ordered off their own menu was! Eventually the woman shouted «a-​ha!» and said it would be fine. Confusing. Well, as it turns out she didn’t know what it was after all. Totally not as described. Also crab fried rice — ew. Flavorless. Not crabby, over-​cooked rice. No seasoning. Even the delivery was messed up. I specifically put instructions for entering the building, so I wouldn’t have to walk down 5 flights of stairs to get it. I also pre-​tipped accordingly for the extra trouble. I got a call from the delivery guy that «there is no parking and I had to come down.» I could see the parking right in front of the building and it was wide open, so whatever. Then when I got there, he had in fact, parked, and was waiting impatiently by the door. Terrible service. Bland bad food. Never again. What a waste of money.

I pass by this place all of the time on my way to and from work, and it’s often crowded with people so many people. I thought I should give it a chance since so many people seemed to enjoy it.
HUGE MISTAKE.
I decided to order delivery, ordering the Wontons as well as the Rib Combo. The description of the wontons stated that it included, shrimp, glass noodles, vegetables and other things… but when I opened my box of wontons when I received my delivery (a whopping 2 hours after ordering) I was sorely disappointed. They were incredibly thin, burnt, and inside where was a gross colorless blob of goop. It could have been earwax for all I knew… nothing about that thing looked like it had ever been shrimp, unless someone had eaten the shrimp and vomited it back out into the wonton.
The ribs were served with a side of «shrimp fried rice». I use quotations because there were a whopping TWO shrimp in that huge pile of rice, TWO! I thought the ribs would be the saving grace, and yes they were very good while I was eating them… but about an hour after I finished eating them, I started to feel extremely nauseous, and about three hours after getting that initial sick feeling, I was in the bathroom, throwing up these ribs.
I abhor this place. I will never ever order from here again, and I will always encourage others not to.

Ive never had a problem with Thai Original BBQ but I always order it to my office for lunch. My order usually comes within the hour and its hot and fresh. The phone service isnt too bad either. Out of all the Thai places in the neighborhood I think this one is the best.

I originally gave this restaurant a 4-​star when I dined here last Thu. But today my bank called and advised me that I had a fraudulent charge on my card which I just opened last week. The bank found out that the fraud charge came from this restaurant. After they charged my bill last Thursday, another charge was made for $ 42! They used it to charge for a gaming subscription. Don’t eat at this restaurant! They will steal your info and credit card. No wonder they have bad reviews here.

Ordered lunch from here and got a little bit of everything. The space is limited here, so its easiest to order to-​go or delivery.
The order for delivery took longer than expected but the delivery guy was nice about it. The food had large portions and was better than expected, although I did have low expectations to start. I would def order from them again.

The people who answer the phone are rude at times, the delivery time is so bad! But the driver I always get is fantastic!
The food is filling but not my favorite, this will be a last resort place to order from.

Only gave this place one star because zero stars can’t be given. Terrible. Service was terrible. Food was terrible. Portions were huge but quality of the food is very poor. Will never ever go back.

The one in Glendale is so much better. I love Thai BBQ and this place is the closest location to me, sadly it is not the same. I always order S2 and the ribs were pretty dry. The rest of is was fine, but the meat… the reason you want to eat there… not so much. Not up to par.

Their food is always good, and never busy in here that’s why I come to this location but the people who work here are either rude or don’t know what they are doing. It’s getting to the point where I have too go to the other ones

The food is good but service/​delivery was horrible! I got a call from a woman saying that she was 5 minutes away. I said ok. Call me when you are outside my apartment. 10 minutes passed by and I got another call from the same person saying that she was 5 minutes away. Ok… then 20 minutes passed by and I called her saying where she was at. She said that she was making other deliveries so i asked her why. She said that she waited outside my apartment for 10 minutes and when no one showed up she just left! I mean, I told her to call me when she gets here but for some reason, there was a disconnect in communication or something. I never had this happened to me before. I will definitely never order from here again.

Ordered a chicken pad Thai and chicken skewers. Found a piece of a crab shell in the chicken pad Thai and the chicken skewers were real dry. Never ordering from here again.

Gross! This place is dingy. The menus were sticky. Floor is dirty. The food: bland. The staff is not particularly friendly. Dirty dish cart was parked next to our table.

I ordered for EAT24 and the only good thing was the delivery guy, a very nice gentlemen:-) I ordered BBQ ribs, the were flavorless, extremely dry, and hard to bite, the the rice with shrim was fine, the crab with shrim was horrible as well, I’m very dissapointed

I ordered the stir fry chicken. It was very good. The place was very small but nice. The host wasn’t very interactive and barely made contact unless I looked at him or motioned to him.
It was a new stop in the midst of all the Korean food in the area.

This place has some very good salmon. Also, the sauces that they use on various dishes is amazing! The ambiance may be the reason why there is never a crowd.

Ordered the chicken pad see ew. The noodles, chicken and veggies were great until I bit into eggshells. It was good to know that they use real eggs, but I can never get passed eggshells in my food.
The beef panang curry was too salty for me. The beef was tough and there wasn’t enough curry to mix with rice. OH, and the curry didn’t come with rice so I had to make my own. I really don’t understand restaurants that don’t give you rice with curry… how else will I eat the curry? Hmmm?

Ok, where do I start. This place has great tasting food. I came here with the bff on Tuesday evening. Ordered the Terikayaki Salmon and Shirmp fried rice. Both entrees were prepared very well. This place doesn’t get enough credit. Maybe due to the marketing but its a great place to eat if you like Teriyaki and Thai themed food. Its great! I will be back. Simply delicious :)
