The crowd here is weird… I came here on a Saturday night and it was absolutely dead. It is a very large space inside of the bar and it was maybe 25% filled. There was loud music playing, probably to cover up the fact that nobody was chatting with each other inside the bar. The bartenders were nice and very attentive, but that’s probably because they get bored since there are no patrons. I got a tequila cocktail drink that was not on the menu– the bartender made it himself. It was a stiff drink, which I needed but it was a little bit too salty for my taste. I kept thinking about how bloated I would feel the next day. I will probably never come here again… unless all the other bars in this area is closed and I really need a drink and am unable to get back to my apartment to make myself a drink.

This is a pretty cool place. Got there around 10.30ish and it was already packed. The bouncers, two humongous dudes, had the biggest smiles on their faces when we got there. I always greatly appreciate big, positive welcomes! The inside is really, I mean really, dark except if you’re sitting by the bar. Which is awesome for some more intimate or drunkenly hang outs. We were trying to catch up so it wasn’t optimal for us. But, not 4100’s fault. The music was a little too loud for regular conversations which I’m deducting the star for. The four of us sat on a tiny squared table and still had to lean in to hear each other at times. Throughout the night the volume kept rising(at times falling back lower) but I’m not sure if that was due to the jukebox or someone actually controlling the volume. I had a Mojito and a Caipirinha, made with rum cause they didn’t have cachaça(been looking for good Caipirinhas since I moved to LA(!), both good! a slight hint of too much alcohol for my taste, but I on the other hand am pretty sensitive to the taste of pure alcohol. Thumbs up for the bartenders who’d rather give too much than water down their drinks! The jukebox: awesomeness! The mixture of nostalgic, classic songs with a barely-21-yr-old’s choice from the latest top 10 hits was fun. Jukeboxes are always risky cause the crowd completely decides where the music is going but that particular night we had many good choices. Some songs even prompted pretty much the entire crowd to join on a sing along. A bunch of tipsy strangers passionately singing together is pretty freaking dope! I thought long about whether this was star-deductible worthy, but decided to withhold my personal temperature preference. I was cold the entire night, we started close to the entrance and moved to the back couches, where it was even worse. Oh, and I was wearing long pants and a long sleeve button-up. I’m aware that the place can get packed and people are getting intoxicated, but in my opinion someone got a little too excited to AC up the place. Just a little side note.

A little cozy, laid back, relaxed place to meet up with friends after work or whenever. Tell the bartender you like sweet and sour and a little basil and you will end up with a refreshing citrus basil refreshment perfect for a Friday to cheer to after work week wrap up! HURRAH!

Do you like getting hammered for a fair price in a dimly lit surrounding with great classic rock, stiff cocktail specials, and a variety of hipster beers? If so, this place is for you. I have a great time lining up their happy hour of 6−8p right after Black Cat’s 4−6p specials and talking to the variety of locals. Robert the bartender is very attentive to your thirst and super friendly. Stop on in if you want a good dive experience

Really just an average bar. The red wine was solid for a bar that has mostly beer. It was smooth and balanced. There is a photo booth that was a fun activity, but we waited so long for the pictures to print that we thought it was broken, but it finally did print.

Came here with a few friends on a Sunday night. It was pretty dead. It’s a 360 bar with lounge tables and seats going around the perimeter. There’s a jukebox where you can pick a song at the back, costs $$ though. Definitely worth it, as they were playing country songs when a song wasn’t requested.

This is a good place to go to on a night you don’t want to get too ratchet, but still want to drink. I think this place would be good for when you want to catch up with friends. The décor is pretty cool with drapes lining the ceiling, reminds me of Aladdin! I went around 10:30pm on a Friday night and there was plenty of seating. Since we came early and before the crowds, we were able to grab a few tables for our group. Bartenders are polite, not too friendly, but they make your drinks super fast. I had the vodka collins and it was tasty! Also… check out the BBQ man right outside!!! He cooks delicious hot dogs and pork ribs and you’re able to bring it into the bar. $ 5 for a hot dog and $ 10 for ribs. SOGOOD. I would come back to this bar just for his BBQ: D

Great bar! Great ambience! Great crowd! I spent New Years 2015 and 2016 here. During the week it’s a great place to come on a date. It’s dark and not so loud so you can have a conversation. On the weekends it’s great to come with a group of friends. Plenty of seats and drinks are good!

Only been here a couple times but I’ve had good experiences. The bartender was very nice and friendly. I ordered my standard, gin and tonic; arrived here during happy hour. Happy hour is 6 – 8! Drinks were half off! It was a cool atmosphere to be in. Got to go back during Happy Hour!

It was far too packed. It looked nice inside but it wasn’t worth it because I couldn’t even talk to my friends.

Upon hearing a lot about this bar, I decided to finally check it out. While talking to locals, I was told that this bar has changed substantially in the last five years. The décor is unique. Very colorful. Drapes line the ceiling. The bar itself has plenty of details to observe while you drink. Staff is great at attending patrons right away. Additionally, Great selection of brews and drinks to choose from. Drinks are affordable and vast. The crowd is great if you’re in your mid-twenties and want to be amongst interesting vibes. There’s also plenty of cool personalities who hang out here as well. Plenty of style inspiration in its attendees here too. Some may call this a hipster bar, it’s cool and hip for the area that’s it in. Overall a fun bar to meet new people and get out of your comfort zone. Jukebox here to play whatever you’re in the mood to jam to. No smoking indoors; outside only. Will probably come back during the week. Security was friendly and polite here. Small parking lot located or jiffy Lube across the street looked available. There’s neighboring parking, but be advised of permit requirements. Otherwise meter parking is free on either Santa Monica Blvd. or Sunset Blvd.

If the walls of this place could talk… My neighborhood bar never disappoints. From first dates to goodbye drinks to celebrations this is the spot. We feed the jukebox our money and drink inexpensive adult beverages and talk life. The hipsters can get, um, numerous but you can’t control that here in Silver Lake. Just drink and be merry. Everyone is always really nice here.

I’m a fan of cocktail bars. They’re perfect for the many occasions that may come into our lives. Have a date and need a place to relax after dinner? 4100 Bar. Need a place to hangout with friends or go barhopping with? 4100 Bar. The drinks are well-made and they make drinks the way they should be made. Love the music, love the vibes, and it’s great that the bartenders are so nice!

This place is great! From the time you walk in and see the dimly-lit bar and the flowing tapestries, you know this is the spot to be. It’s never really over-crowded(I work weekends so I really only see it Sunday-Thursday nights). The one time I went on the weekend, there was a guy with a smoker cooking up chicken and street dogs that were unreal! Going back to the bar, they’ve got a good selection of booze, plenty of great seating, a killer ambiance and good music that plays at just the right level. One of my favorite haunts in all of LA!

Four of us came in early Saturday night, around 8:30PM. Not too many people at the bar, plenty of seating space around the bar open. Only one bartender behind the bar!!! ONE??? On a Saturday night!!! He tells us that he will be right with us, and disappears to the other side of the bar for about 20 minutes. Completely ignores our attempts to get his attention. A girl bartender shows up, pays zero attention to our group. 25 minutes into it, we get up and leave without being served a single drink. Most likely will never return

Probably one of my favorite bars in LA so far. Very cool Moroccan-esque vibe. Good music! Good service! A bar that actually has enough bartenders, who’d a thunk it? My friends & I took turns buying drinks, & none of us were at the bar longer than 5mins each, at a totally packed bar. The drinks are pretty well priced. There’s a jukebox & a photo booth. And tons of seating – we were lucky to snag a table on a busy Friday night. This is a place where you can pregame for the real party, or spend your entire night right there at 4100. It’s a great spot that will definitely continue to get my business. And there’s a food truck right outside to ease your drunchies(drunk munchies).

This is a great bar to start off the night. We went here then after a drink, we checked out the Cha Cha Lounge. There’s a juke box and they had a pretty good selection of songs. It’s a screen on the wall instead of a 50’s style one on the ground. We couldn’t find it at first! The drinks were pretty strong! I can see how people could spend their night here or use it as the pregame before dancing. Cool crowd!

I’ve been to 4100 Bar twice now, once around 11:30 on a Friday night, then again around 7:00, also on a Friday. I liked it the first time, but not so much that I was planning to seek it out. I went back because I was already at Malo and had a drink«passport» that got me a cheap cocktail at 4100. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the place the second time around. I guess every bar is better when you don’t have to share it with other people after all. The space is great, a neat little box of a bar right at Sunset Junction, with its own parking lot if you choose to drive. The décor is cool, with a sumptuous, Moroccan tilt – ornate lamps, billowy cloth hanging from the walls and ceilings. I missed this on my first visit, when it was dark. There’s a lot of seating, and the place is great if you can get it, less so if you can’t. The booths are comfortable, and the bar is large and ovular, smack in the middle of the space. Service is good, pleasant and quick – I think this was true even when the place was slammed, though I guess opening a beer isn’t that hard. 4100 Bar has a full bar and apparently some cocktails, though it’s not a fancy mixology kind of joint. I’ve had a few beers here – the selection is standard higher-end-of-the-grocery-store stuff, like the occasional Golden Road or Stone IPA mixed in with Stella, Blue Moon, definitely PBR too. I wouldn’t even have guessed there were cocktails if it weren’t for the passport, which got me a $ 7 drink called The Healer. This was pretty excellent, made with mezcal, Campari, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and agave nectar. It balanced bitter, sweet, tart, and smokey, with plenty of booze to back it all up. I’d definitely get it again, and would trust the bartenders to make other cocktails too. I live pretty close to 4100 Bar, and now that I’ve seen it at its best I’ll be sure to go back for more. It’s a good default for a night of drinking in Sunset Junction – always of use on this side of town.

what can I say? Who doesn’t enjoy a dark red room with good music and great company? Had lots of fun here… its not overly crowded nor is it empty. its not ghetto or upscale just right… pretty hipster if you ask me, there are plenty of couches and seats unless you prefer standing up, they also have a juke box so there is a variety in the taste of music. I recommend this to anyone who just wants to have a good cold beer and a blissful time.

This place is pretty cool, and an excellent stop-off if you’re looking for a crowd that doesn’t ooze hipster from the tits. I’ve heard people call this place divey, but I disagree; the atmosphere inside is very dark, but quite large, with a jukebox that’s playing mostly 90’s hip hop or alternative. There are usually a decent amount of people here, and the ceiling is covered in blankets, which adds a kind of opium-den ambiance to the place, which I’m totally into. I’ve had some great conversations with strangers here, met some cool & attractive people, and there’s a chill dude outside who sells sausages and ribs hot off the grill. There’s plenty of seating inside, and drink prices aren’t ridiculous. Whatever you do, DON’T fall for the $ 3 miller high life scam: this drink comes in a tiny, tiny bottle – similar to those small bottles of apple juice that were once so prolific in cafes and whatnot – and ordering it will most certainly turn your drunken smile into a slightly sobered up frown. Four star’d only because people can overpower the jukebox with their shit taste in music, apple juice bottles of beer, and this one time I went there, everyone legitimately thought I was Skrillex, which made everyone reaaaaal star-fuckery and gross. 2⁄3 of these complaints are more like complaints about humanity in general, but I suppose that says something about the people who go here. Don’t let that deter you, though, because if you don’t look like a celebrity,(or REALLY like attention) you’ll have a great time here!

I am a regular here and can vouch for this place and it’s nothing short of spectacular. Many nights have been spent attempting to arrive close to 9 to gain control of the jukebox(please don’t judge me) If you’ve ever heard some random Rolling Stones song or some Washed Out blaring over the speakers, chances are I was there enjoying my music choices. Now in regards to the drinks, I have become somewhat of a lightweight after college and even more so now that I rarely get some booze in me like I used to, so I can come here and get sloshed off a $ 30 tab. Said tab usually includes 3 Manhattans and possibly a beer. The bartenders are artists when it comes to whipping up cocktails, no joke. Like literally, you’ll be entranced watching them make something as simple as a vodka tonic, the precision and love whilst making your cocktail are impeccable.(Sidequest: ask nicely for their Absinthe laced drink, you’ll be thankful you did) There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said. Everyone here is so lax. I’ve made friends waiting in line for the bathroom and waiting at the bar for a drink. You really can’t go wrong with this place.

Ordered a Long Beach and this thing is just a bunch of shots in a glass for $ 13. I ain’t mad. The French bartender made it and my boyfriends drink is equally alcohol filled. It’s dark in here and the jukebox is playing 90s r&b. There is a guy selling ribs out front. Im into it.

It’s got all the dive and dank, and triple the space. Easy to find a seat, which is good. The drinks are what you’d expect. The reason for the low rating is the fact that they have trouble controlling the volume of the music. One song is quiet and lets you talk. Next song is belted out and you can’t hear yourself think. Next song is quiet again. If you’re going to be a dive bar, get the music right.

Between Silverlake and Hollywood. Simple bar for a simple good time. Been here plenty of times. Dim lights. Bar centered with plenty of booths and seating around it. Great place to visit if you’re with a big group. Been here plenty of times because its easy entrance on a weekend. But out of all the bars in Silverlake or area, this wouldn’t make it on my top 3. But its a great default place. No live music. No other gimmick, just your local bar. Difficult to find parking, suggest lyft or ubering.

DARK. DINGY. DIVEY. I can’t see a thing in here! But that’s okay, the lighting hides how PLASTERED I am. There is a large oval shaped bar smack in the middle – plenty of 360 bar seating and there are surrounding booth seating as well. This place is pretty spacious. The bartenders are friendly and fast. The drinks are cheap. $ 5 Stone IPA is not a bad deal, and I’m happy they carry a solid IPA. Most divey bars just have a selection of crap beers. Jukebox plays some good tunes and you can find a dark(er) corner to whisper sweet nothings into your shortys ear. ha. T said ‘shorty’ and I’m not taking it back!
