Delicious Korean shaved ice. My favorite one is the green tea. My hubby’s the espresso. The toast was also yummy. Clean restroom, friendly staff and their price is reasonable. Parking: vallet for $ 2. get validation from Anko, you only pay $ 1.

So it’s been awhile since I’ve been here and after my dinner my friend and I remembered how good their coffee was So we returned here to grab a cup. How bad can a americano be! It tasted very old like the beans were not fresh It just tasted bitter . Just out of curiosity I asked the waitress if their beans changed and she leaned over to look at the counter and told me that they did changed it. Also she asked me which was better and i replied to her that I liked the taste of their coffee before and she asked me if I wanted more hot water. OMG that’s not going to change the taste Next time I’ll have second thoughts coming.

I did not expect myself to crave ice in the midst of a rainy storm… Accidentally searched for Anko and boy do their pictures look good. Ordered the Regular Green Tea and Red Bean Anko($ 7.50) and the anko certainly does not disappoint. Smooth, light layers of milk snow are covered with beautifully scattered matcha powder, azuki beans, and a hint of condensed milk, served with few pieces of mochi on a black porcelain bowl. The fragrance of the matcha powder is very well blended with the azuki bean’s sweetness and the snow ice’s smoothness. In addition, I am surprised by how the product came out exactly the same as the one on the menu, consider that most pictures on the menu are being fixed to perfection. Therefore, I am certainly pleased with my decision this time and I would definitely return for some more goodies from Anko.

First of all, super decent pat bing soo. I am a fan of Sul and Beans but I am not the fan of paying almost $ 10 for their regular sized bowl in addition to the pain of finding parking near the hopping plaza it’s in. I like the fact there are TWO sizes and the smaller serving was perfect for two people for less than $ 6. Very friendly staff as well!

First off, loved the great ambience!!! So clean and well designed and the whiteness of the entire store really made it bright. The menu was easy to understand and I loved the Korean on the side. Definitely, as this restaurant was marketing, Anko is the trendy dessert of the future. So I got the mixed berry snow and WOW was that good or what!!! Lovely milk flavor that literally is milk, perfectly sweet — but not too sweet — condensed milk on the bottom, and all of the berries were fresh and tangy. Yum yum! Also, the snow was neatly decorated and played and easily edible. The coffee was okay, but it really isn’t a café so what would you expect? I hope to go back for the injeolmi snow and black sesame snow — classic Korean shaved ice!!! Overall very very satisfied with my experience and definitely want to go back. What a great concept and I wish this business good luck for the future!

A sweet post-karaōke treat. Good selection of bingsoo and waffles! We ordered the anko waffle for a little over $ 5. We expected one but were surprised to find each order comes with two! Perfect for sharing! The anko waffle is chock full of rice cake and red bean. The waffle itself was a bit on the dry side, but I really enjoyed the toppings. Waffles with ice cream have become popular, so I appreciated the uniqueness of this waffle sans ice cream, loaded with toppings. The interior is so cute! The bingsoo options are on the wall in hangul and drawings. Check it out if you’re around!

I am TRULY disappointed with how this store is progressing. I used to come out of my way to enjoy the injeolmi snow here because it was so good, but the past couple times I’ve been here have been absolutely horrible. One time I ordered a berry snow with my friends and I could already see that the strawberries were NOT ripe and this was confirmed as soon as I put it in my mouth. The strawberries were so sour that I asked the man working the register(I’m 90% sure he was the owner of the store because his face is painted on the wall) if I could change my order. He asked why and when I said because they were sour, his solution was to pour more condensed milk over it. There was no apology, no offer to make me a new one, he just straight up took the bottle of condensed milk and poured it on my snow. WTF. I just took the snow, left it on the table, and walked out. Just recently, I ordered a watermelon juice. They said they were out of watermelon and asked if I wanted anything else. I changed my order to a white grape juice and when it came out, the cup was only ¾ full with juice the other ¼ with foam. The guy who was at the register and delivered the drink noticed it too before giving it to me and I saw him peek into the kitchen and point to my cup and ask about it. I’m assuming they said something along the lines of «oh well» because he delivered it to me anyway. After the juice incident, I went again the next day to grab a quick cup of iced tea. I ordered a green tea tropical tea and holy shet their tea bags are SO stale. I took one sip and threw that trash away. Please don’t give this store your business. They clearly don’t give a crap about you or your taste buds.

I ordered the regular espresso anko with red bean on the side and it was delicious. I shared with my parents and boyfriend and it was enough to hit our sweet spot after having dinner. The shaved snow was extremely creamy, so the espresso started tasting like coffee ice cream which made me like it even better. The espresso anko came with granola bits and almonds, as well as a small bowl of red bean, but the worker was kind enough to give us another small bowl of red bean complimentary. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back if I’m in the area. Parking: $ 1 with validation at the valet!

Stopped by here for a snack and got the black sesame order they had and I love it! Black sesame is my new favorite flavor. It even had black sesame mochi. Not overly sweet and it was light enough to eat. At first it looks like a lot but it was mainly the snow. Which was soft and airy and not icey.

Not baddd, Pretty good Pros: Nice big servings. Lots of fruit! Decent prices. Better than a lot of other places. Nice variety of choices. Taste is pretty decent all around. Nice staff and quick service. Cons: Valet only :/. Unless you want to try to find parking elsewhere, but it’s going to be farther and that’s a hassle. Some of the other places that i’ve been to taste a bit better. No wifi I believe? Bottom line: I’ll be back again. Most other shaved snow places are expensive as hell and you don’t get much for what you pay either. This place has a nice bright atmosphere and they give you plenty of snow and fruit.

ESPRESSOSHAVEDICE. Probably my favorite dessert.period. If you love coffee/espresso and honey bunches of oats then you must try this! The shaved ice is topped with granola and almond slices, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with ground espresso. Their shaved ice is unique because there are LAYERS! So you’ll get some toppings with every bite :) I also tried the matcha green tea shaved ice — I don’t ecommend. The green tea powder is subtle and just overall it’s very average. It comes with a side of red beans as well. I recommend to just get the espresso :). A small size looks small but it’s really enough for 2 people!

1 star for the overall milk fluff snow. –4 for customer service & the berry snow. My friends and I came here before & they couldn’t serve us because they were out of snow… OUTOFSNOW? Isn’t this dessert place known to sell snow? Doesn’t make any sense… We came again & ordered the green tea and the berry snow. DONOTGETTHEBERRYSNOW!!! It was super sour & the strawberries were gross. I went up to a guy who looked like he was the manager, mid-30s and I complained about it being too sour. He didn’t even say sorry and just went to grab the condensed milk and poured it into the bowl. Are you serious??? Anyways, the green tea snow was good but not good enough for me to want to come back.

Came here for breakfast. Wasn’t very busy in the morning. Nice modern looking café. Known for their delicious bingsu. Comparing their shaved ice to Sul & Beans, I prefer Anko. The portions were good, the large bingsu is enough for 3 – 4 people. The waffles didn’t look that big, but were also pretty filling. GOOD * Black Sesame Bingsu — Solid black sesame powder over creamy milky ice. * Green Tea Bingsu — Rich green tea flavor over creamy milky ice. * Choco Waffle — Chocolate banana goodness on a waffle. OK * Mochi & Anko Waffle — Bic chunks of chewy mochi and chocolate sauce covered in roasted bean powder. Mochi makes it even more filling, however, the bean powder also makes it a bit dry. * Milk Fondue Waffle — Fruit and condensed milk on a waffle. Looked nice, but seemed a little lacking.

Features: –We came on a weekend around 10:30/11pm and it was not too busy. We found a seat towards the back right away. –This dessert place has a variety of different Korean shave ice desserts! I had the black sesame shave ice and it was very tasty. I liked it a lot because it was not too sweet as I expected it to be. This came with mochi balls that were super soft and chewy. Sesame shave ice is a clever idea, who would have thought this would make a good dessert? Improvement: –The toppings only really covered the top portion of the shave ice and when you dig further, there weren’t much in the middle or end except sesame sprinkles. Tips: –This was pretty cheap, each cup was between $ 5.25-$ 8.00. Pretty affordable and good. –Street parking or park in the valet structure.

So was in the area and decided to stop by this place after« Unilocaling» and seeing the good reviews. I was not blown away to be honest. Lets begin with: The shaved ice– This is probably the most bland shaved ice I’ve had. I think the ice itself has no flavor at all.(Not their fault if this is how they do it) Toppings– looks like the toppings are key here and I like usually having regular shaved ice with minor toppings. Only way to get yours to taste real good is to add a few of these which do cost money. Interior– I liked the inside and décor of this place, plenty of seating, some outside seating. I think the first downfall is that they only have valet parking(its only $ 1 with validation). I would say that I have definitely been spoiled by other shaved ice locations that have much more flavor than this place. I don’t think this would be my GO-TO place for shaved ice. But I think you should give it a try and see if your palate is better than mine.

We were searching for some dessert after korean bbq in the area. We found the spot and decided to give it a try. The parking lot was very small and you are technically forced to get valet, but its only a $ 1 w validation. We tried the strawberry berry shaved ice after having a hard time deciding what to order. We ordered the small portion, which was a great size for 2 people. Although, it looked great before eating it(presentation was great), once you started eating the middle portion ot didn’t have any taste, it was just ice. We had to order condensed milk in order to give it flavor which was .50 cents. They also served boba drinks and other Korean treats. I’ve tried other shaved ice locations so maybe Ive been a lottle spoiled. The area was very clean and open space.

This shaved ice is so good and addicting. I’ve tried several different places but Anko has got to be the best! Their ice is so fluffy and literally melts the second it hits your tongue. I really like this place because they have a cute décor, with comfortable chairs, and plenty of natural lighting. Their shaved ice is done so well — very light, not too sweet, and accompanied with several toppings to add a nice crunch to each and every single bite. For a group of three, we got two shaved ices: the espresso and green tea. Out of the two, we all loved the espresso. A sweet coffee flavor with crunchy granola on top. I couldn’t stop eating it! Normally, I go bananas over green tea. Sadly, this wasn’t the case here because the green tea flavor wasn’t as strong as I’d like. There were a few small layers of green tea and a whole space of plain ice. I tried to mix it all together but it didn’t do much. You must try this place! If you are in the mood for something sweet and refreshing, Anko will fix that craving for you. Trust me.

Yumm! Well, when I was looking at the menu I had no idea what to order so I asked one of the employees what’s the best one and he told me that the Injeolmi anko is the best one. Well it was pretty damn good. It’s shaved ice with mochi, and almond and other stuff. Oh we got extra condensed milk which actually made it taste better. We also got the milk tea boba and also pretty good and refreshing. They have valet parking for $ 1 with validation. Enjoy!

Pretty decent place on the corner of Western and 4th St serving tasty shaved ice and some natural juice. I walked over here after having a dinner near by happen to see this place while driving by. The place looks small from outside but it’s not so small when you walk in there. There are plenty of seating inside and the place is very clean. I tried black sesame shaved ice and it was very tasty almost like the one that I tried from Block Head located in Sawtelle. The ice was very light and soft with the sweetness that wasn’t overpowering black sesame flavor. The watermelon juice had that delightful fruit sweetness and it was very fresh. They accept any major credit card including Amex.

Unilocaled this gem. If you’re looking for something light then this is the place! We got the small green tea and it was SO good! Perfect to share with a date. Lots of room to sit, very clean, and the service was great! Definitely will be back to try more
