They do have wifi with pw and still slow. Didn’t have cappuccinos or changes. I thought that’s very weird for a store. Tv running annoyed me also.

They changed owners and now don’t have any of their old cakes or waffles. Instead, there is now korean style shaved ice and alcohol. Still a decent option to get some studying done, or to grab a bowl of pasta. Might come back to have drinks since the ambience is still the same and they serve better food than what most bars offer.

I’ve been here like 3 times, each time to try their«amazing food», but each time it was sold out. What the heck! The staff is too cool to care about the customers. Looks like they hire popstars here. The lattes are meh.

I love Cafes with good food and since i was nearby, decided to try Café Storygarden. The décor; open ceiling, decorated walls, and urban comfortable atmosphere does look like something out of a book or a drama but there’s no garden. I came here starving and ordered their Stella Rosso, Crab Rose Pasta, and Diablo Pizza. WIth beer and a cup of coffee. Crab Rose Pasta: They actually had a real crab in the pasta, creamy, al dente pasta, delicious mushrooms. Stella Rosso: Its their most popular pasta dish. It was less creamy than hoped for but it was flavor packed. Tender chicken, delicious mushrooms and al dente pasta. Diablo Pizza: The thin crust was crispy and I definitely tasted the diablo in the pizza. Spicy but mouthwatering good. Beer: They serve beer and wine and they have a good selection to choose from. Do I need to say more? I finished the meal with regular drip coffee. It was nothing special. They have plenty of outlets to charge your gadgets and large spacious tables to work and enjoy your meal on. Service was top notch. The friendly staff constantly checked if my cup of water of coffee needed a refill and came by once to follow up on my experience. Got me hooked. Ill be coming back! Update: 9÷14÷12 Just had their Mushroom Carbonara: Creamy and flavor-packed. Everything melts in your mouth with deliciousness. Comes with pickles to freshen your palate and bread to wipe your plate with. Oh and wIth a bottle of Hoegaarden. Their décor improved too. Cozy inside and chill out on the patio.

Found this place on my search for cheap bowl of risotto, but what I really found was a chapter straight out of a korean drama. The setting and the menu is exactly what you see from those dramas. Very clean and contemporary interior design. So the mushroom risotto is $ 12 and the seafood was $ 2 more if my memories serves me right. I got the seafood risotto. Which came includes mussels, calamari, arugula, a few bits of cauliflower, and Parmesan cheese. The result was a very flavorful risotto that I wouldn’t mind keep eating. The other dish that I tried was the Stella Rosso pasta. The pasta was al dente. But the sauce did not taste Italian. At least not very Italian to the ones I’ve previous had. So here we have a very well prepared pasta with questionable authenticity. It was $ 12 or $ 13 for dinner. With the price being $ 8 – 10 cheaper per dish than a regular Italian place, I’d say, mission accomplished. Kinda. It would have been a more pleasant experience if they had more cakes we could have choose from. They only had chocolate. And I don’t really care much for chocolate cake. Bill came out to $ 45 with tip and 2 drinks. Parking was easy. They have their own lot. When I was there for dinner on a Monday night, it was pretty empty. Wouldn’t mind coming back to actually try their dessert.

I’ve been Café Storygarden twice. Both times the service sucked harder than Monica Lewinsky. The waiter looked like a straight up meat head minus the Varsity Jacket, but supplied with the typical v-neck shirts that are cut way too much to be a guy’s shirt. Although he brought what we asked him for, he never replied or acknowledged our request. However, the food is great. Pretty much the only thing good about this café. The café feels a bit uncomfortable and uninviting in my opinion(this was before the rude experience with staff), and definitely not a place you can study. The all-white interior makes me feel like I’m in some fancy hospital waiting for my STD test results. Their pasta is superb though, but their portions are for Hobbit sized stomachs and pricey compared to how much you get. The place has great parking too but fuck the waiter and the lady behind the counter. I’m sure he’d punch the day light savings out of me but, he was a douche.

Okay, I cannot believe I have yet to review café storygarden. Café Storygarden super-cedes Yellow House in my humble opinion. Although yellow house provides a more cozy atmosphere, café storygarden focuses on the elegant minimalist interior décor. Italian themed, and chic, the drinks are delicious, but a must try here is their clam chowder. I promise it is like nothing you’ve ever tasted before— Light on the palette yet flavorful! Not some campbells canned soup garbage. For something more filling and guilt free, try their chicken wrap. Another plus for my fellow alcohol enthusiasts, they serve wine & beer. Cheers!

3.5 Stars Café Storygarden is a cute place for getting a glass of wine or a quick dinner with the girls. But it’s an absolute horrible place for studying! It’s way too dim and romantic-esque to study productively. So many couples eating and giggling together! The rosso pasta was mehhh. I should’ve tried a pizza. They look a lot yummier! The berry cheesecake slice there is overpriced(as all ktown cafes are) and the texture is a bit off for me. I like my cheesecakes dense and thick. Otherwise, I’d come here again for a girls night out and order the more simple pasta & pizza dishes.

Loved their strawberry yogurt shortcake! It was light and perfectly sweet. I also got their iced coffee, and it was okay. It was comparable to McDonalds, to be completely honest. I was hoping for something more«special.» However, the main attraction here is probably the waiter, HAHA. He’s attractive in that adorably confused foreigner(who looks like a Korean drama star) way. There’s definitely a language barrier if YOU only speak English. But hey, all the more reason to have him smile sweetly at you as you confuse him with your alien language. ;) Oh, and it’s a nice place to study at on the weekends! Pretty empty, and there’s obviously less traffic around during the mornings/afternoon.

I came here during a weekday. One of the most tedious things about going to K-town is their parking. Luckily, this place has their own parking lots and parking was not a problem. This place is a simple restaurant with a cute atmosphere. They serve food, as well as wine, and coffee/tea. Another plus about this place is that their prices are not as high for teas/desserts compared to the other local coffee/tea places in K-town. The waiter was nice, though the place was dead, he was on his phone a lot but still payed attention. The place is somewhat dim, so it may be difficult to study, but a great place to chat with your friends with. Their Strawberry Yogurt Cake was also good. It has a unique subtle taste, and it’s not too sweet! I would come here again!

Where’s the story and garden? I came here after eating AYCE Korean BBQ, so the desserts must have been good since I was still able to eat a piece of oreo cheese cake and tiramisu after my marvelous meat meal. Apparently, the desserts are all made in-house by this petite, female, pastry chef who studied at the cordon bleu in Paris. Fancy~~ However, it was aiite. I mean, for such a highly noted credential, I was expecting to be blown out of my chair… .didn’t happen. I WILL rave about their Iced Ginger Lemon tea(unsweetened). Oh wow — so refreshing after eating a foot-long worth of cow intestines. It had both subtleties of the ginger and lemon — perfect. Also, the waiter looked like an effeminate version of Clark Kent — super tight, hot-pink, crew neck t-shirt with a body to fill it with black, square framed glasses and tight-worthy skinny jeans. Definitely a «Monet», as they would say in the movie Clueless, but I’d like to think he was a part of the dessert experience??? Either way, this café is quiet and has a nice ambiance for coffee & chit chat. I’m still baffled at how the name Storygarden has any reference to the décor or theme of this café. Ladies, use both the slide lock and the button lock when using the restroom unless you want a surprise entrance from other patrons while you are doing your business.

I’ve been coming here for a while now and just realized I never wrote a review for this gem! Although, maybe I shouldn’t to keep traffic slow :) Evil hah. But I really enjoy this small café hidden in a plaza for multiple reasons: 1. NOVALETPARKING. Waaaaaa? In Ktown? Get outta here. No, serious. Love that. They have their own private lot. 2. Great food. They have an excellent lunch special, $ 9.99 for coffee and a pasta dish. I usually have very low expectations for food at a Ktown café. It’s typically over-priced and not that really good, just meh. But I just had the stella rosso here and I was pretty impressed. Spaghetti noodles in a white cream sauce, infused with bacon, broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms, topped with alfalfa and roe. Mm mm delicious. 3. Free WiFi that doesn’t randomly cut out. 4. Chill music that’s easy to study to… usually classical or jazzy. 5. Usually not too crowded, which can be good since outlets are super scarce here. I’m pretty sure there’s only 2 walls with outlets in the entire place. Sometimes they’ll bust out an outlet adapter(2 into 6) to accommodate. 6. Simple, yet modern set up that works. Looking good fellas. Check this place out for a quick bite, some of their tasty desserts or drinks(they even serve alcohol haha), or just to chill/study.

Came here because that waffle in the pic looked good. It looked just as good when I ordered it! $ 10 might be a lot for a waffle + fruit + ice cream, but I didn’t feel sorely ripped off considering I was in a Korean coffee house.(meaning they didn’t mind me mooching off their free wifi playing words with friends with them for a lonnng while bc they make me pay for it in terms of more expensive food/coffee) The waffle did come slightly undercooked and was doughy, I’m sure if we said something they might have done something, but it was delicious as is. It’s a clean neat place, and it seems to get filled in the evening with students who like to study. Too bad I don’t live closer, or I would join the study crowd here every night! _______________ easy parking, easy to miss it’s in a brandspaking new plaza right before you reach 3rd.

Only if 12CM had those macaroons still left we might have had a better experience. We strolled by here on a rainy Friday night after eating at Western Doma Noodles up the street. I do like that they have ample parking with no attendant to rip us off. The place is clean and has that modern white and laid back feel. We were all pretty stuffed from dinner and wanted to just hang-out and get some little snacks. They offer a 30% off for check-ins on Unilocal but the only thing you can get 30% off is the Shortcake and they were all sold out. I was able to get 30% off on a chocolate cake after a little bit of talk. The chocolate cake tasted pretty moist and not too chocolaty. My hot cocoa on the other hand tasted bland and something about it wasn’t right. We also ordered the waffle/ice cream/blue berry /strawberry and banana dessert. That too wasn’t the greatest.

I wanted to give it four stars but thats too much. so i have to take down two stars for #1 Price #2 product knowledge of their staff. Price because a coffee cost almost I think $ 5? I ordered Hot Café Mocha and i couldn’t say anything bad about my coffee BUT i think it was way overpriced for a small cup. Product knowledge because the reason i went there was because i saw that they were offering some Unilocal Check –in discount and i love anything that i can save but when I checked in and showed the cashier that i have this coupon she looked at it and said«its not valid» and saying something that i didn’t understand. so i said nevermind. but then the lady owner came because she might have heard me and say«yup is that from Unilocal?» and i said yes it is! but i said ill just save the coupon for next time. plus im not in a mood to eat short cake that time. or i lost the mood after they rejected my coupon… anyway I gave them a second chance so i went back the day after then grab an overpriced coffee and finally used the Unilocal coupon and got the shortcake which i cant make a comment because I gave it to someone and i had it «to go». Though I love how they packed the shortcake in a pink box and they put their sticker name on it. so cute! the person to whom i gave that was so excited to have a bite when she saw it. it has a very nice presentation from the box Overall, Cool and nice interior very relaxing ! I super love it! Coffee taste good. with their price it should be free refills hahha! or maybe it is? Idk. it better be!

Tried this on a whim with my grandma and cousin after hearing about it from a friend. This relatively new Korean café is one of the better ones in ktown. First of all, there is a self-parking lot located right next to the restaurant without any hassle of having to valet your car at night or paying a few bucks to park your own car. The lot isn’t that big, but when I went there was plenty of parking. The initial impression when you walk in is a very clean, modern, and fresh look. There are large white tables with a mix match of different type of chairs, but it’s a nice quirky touch. The café is somewhat divided into two rooms with a large flat screen tv in between the two. They also have big windows if you want to people/street watch. In addition, the lighting was rather bright compared to other cafes, so it makes a good atmosphere for studying if you want to study your date. Although, I didn’t see that many outlets, so charge up your laptop if you tend to bring one to study. The bathrooms were also pretty clean and spacious, but it was only one for men and one for women, not any stalls. We ordered the tiramisu and peach cobbler cake. The tiramisu came in a nice rotund form topped with a generous scoop of ice cream on top. It had a nice chocolate drizzle for garnish with some accompanying fruit on the side. This was pretty legit and tasted like tiramisu compared to some other amateur attempts at other Korean cafes. The ice cream on top was a nice touch to complement the tiramisu cake and didn’t melt easily to ruin the overall taste. The peach cobbler cake was also good, but the tiramisu was better. The cake was light, but it had more flavor than a Chinese cake. There was a good layering of fruit and cake and the cream wasn’t too heavy with a chocolate garnish drizzled on top. I would come back to try their other desserts and coffee. Perhaps it will be my new study spot.

My fiancé and I came on a late Tuesday around 11:30pm looking for some dessert to fulfill our sweet tooth. We were one of 3 other customers here so we were expecting some good service. But… FAIL! My fiancé ordered the cheesecake and I got the green tea shaved ice. The server told is that they were all out of their desserts and all they had left was their nut tart, so since he had no choice he ended up ordering it. The server then came back only to tell us that it was frozen! Just for that they gave him a complimentary peppermint tea. As for my shaved ice, it took them forever! I mean come on now. nobody was there! Then when we were ready to pay the 2 workers were no where in sight! We then found them arguing out in the parking lot! So much for good service and making your bakery look good. The only reason I’m giving it a 1 is because their green tea shaved ice was bomb!

We spotted this place driving down western so we were like let’s try it since it’s new! the place isn’t too big… it’s really white… minimal decorations… but because its so white… it looks clean! my friends got the green tea latte… and white chocolate mocha… and I just got green tea. they said their drinks were on the sweeter side… my plain green tea was the same price as the green tea latte and the white chocolate mocha… how is that possible… mine is literally just water… my friend got sick afterward… not sure if its cuz of the milk in the green tea latte or what… but she definitely wasn’t feeling well… my other friend felt a lil sick after too… they have free wifi… their bathroom is clean… and one side of the wall has LOVE on it… I don’t know if I’d be back… but good luck to the café in trying to compete with the other cafes in ktown I think the plaza which this café is in is new as well… so not a lot of people know about it which is why there weren’t that many people… and tons of free parking!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while since I spotted it on the drive home… I came here last night to study and found my new hot spot. The décor is minimal, but still really cute and it all matches the ambience. The coffee is delicious. The owner came over and helped me choose a coffee drink. He said that they brew illy coffee, which is awesome since barely any Korean cafes brew it since it’s so expensive. I ordered a cappuccino. It was delicious! It came sprinkled with cinnamon, which was the perfect spice to accompany the coffee. It came in a large cup and saucer with simple syrup, which was pretty nice since you usually have to request simple syrup if you want it. There aren’t too many outlets, but it was pretty quiet the whole time I was there. The music played was a mix of Korean and American hits, but I appreciated that it wasn’t played too loudly. The service was awesome. The owner was so happy to serve me and the other customers in the café and he was really helpful. He kept coming to refill my water glass(that never happens at K-town cafes) and even offered free refills of house blend coffee. It’s awesome to see someone working so hard and loving what they do. It’s hard not to want to support that, especially in food services. It’s interesting that the shift in Ktown cafes has been to brew quality coffee(i.e. here, The Bourbon Street Café). It’s a nice change from paying top $ to drink bad coffee and for good ambience. They opened 3 weeks ago, so I’m hoping this place will make it amidst all the other Ktown cafes. Overall, I’m definitely coming back!
