I think Noodle world Boba is much better. It is around the block from this place. I got the almond boba and it was so sweet it was undrinkable. I was bummed throwing out a drink that cost so much.

The prices keep going up and up, but it is still the best boba in Westwood(though it pales in comparison to Sawtelle). I usually get the boba milk tea to go.

I am writing a review on Noodle Planet restaurant, not on the boba(couldn’t find a page for Noodle Planet). The dish«Noodle Planet Phở» is so good! The noodles used to be hard and not cooked thoroughly in 2004… but as of June 2014… it tastes good! I haven’t had asian food in a few weeks. Broth is fantastic and doesn’t have MSG taste afterwards. Thumbs up for improving your rice noodles! Meat is not best quality, but better than half the places I have been to. Coming from someone who ate phở all my life.

There’s a few boba locations in this area, and I have to admit that this one is definitely not among the best. They’re located as a part of the noodle world restaurant, but you can just order their drinks items to go. The only time I would order boba here though is if I’m already dining at the restaurant and don’t want to be bothered with looking for somewhere else to do after my meal. They have a pretty standard selection of boba drinks, which are not awful but not great either. Like I said, there are other boba places nearby that I would go to first before I would consider coming here. Both the restaurant and boba world have been here for many years now though, but there hasn’t been much change over time in the drinks that you get in my experiences here so far.

The boba here is HORRIBLE. The tea is equally as bad and tasted very watered down and bland. Service was also horrible as all we ordered was boba to go, yet it took them almost 10 minutes to make it and bring it out to us. I mean, if you’re going to take that long to bring us our drinks, it better be good at least, but no, it was so disgusting I just ended up throwing it away after the first sip. There are much better boba places nearby such as CoCo on Sawtelle Blvd.

Terrible boba. Really? They call this place Boba World? I was regretful about the purchase– milk tea boba. $ 4.09! Overpriced and bad quality! It was just sugar water with chewy gelatin. There are good boba places out there. This place is horrible. They replaced my drink and said that they will make it better, less sugar. The replacement was just as disgusting.

In the pantheon of boba places, this one is pretty poor. Probably still in business because there are no other dedicated boba places in Westwood Village, and kept afloat by the huge Chinese student population. Ordered the regular milk tea boba without ice, and they actually gave me much less than a full cup. For a $ 4 drink, they sure do skimp on the water. I asked the waitress about this, and she was defiantly unapologetic. Wow. The tea wasn’t even particularly good — watery at best, and you could taste the creamer and powder they used. Horrid, in fact. Skip this place, if you are a boba enthusiast — and head over to the Volcano Tea House on Sawtelle Blvd. instead.

BEWAREOFSLOWSERVICE! We ordered a couple of bobas from the front register, and it took them more than 15 minutes to bring us the teas(I timed it, as I had the parking meter running out front and had to put more coins in to avoid a ticket). And when they FINALLY brought out the drinks, they had gotten the order wrong. When I told them it was mixed up, the waitress rolled her eyes and acted mad that I wouldn’t just take what she had made, even though it was wrong. Terrible service and the longest wait for boba ever = skip this place! There are plenty of other places to get good boba in Westwood.

I came here one night to get some after dinner Boba. I got to tea places often so i kinda know what the normal standard for tea should be. I ordered a Almond milk tea which seems like should be fairly common fair at a tea house. It was easily the worst tea i had ever drank. The tea it self tasted like water. Barely any almond flavor. It was supposed to be milk tea but it tasted like they had just mixed the almond flavor into water and called it quits. The Boba had terrible consistency. Tasted like oddly hard jello. Not good at all. I took two sips hoping it would get better on the second one. When it didn’t i threw it out. There has to be better Boba then this in the area.

Boba world is such a great place for good PHO and boba! They’re pretty good for large parties(I remember attending many student organization meetings and having lunch afterwards here at Boba World). They make their boba pretty well(never too hard or soft) and you can never go wrong with Thai Iced Tea w/Boba. This place is ALWAYS busy because the food is GOOD! Can’t wait for my next trip to Boba World.

I walked here last night with my dear hubby who is fasting and in the mood for big portions, greasy food, lots of flavor and a high-calorie drink.(I would be too if I hadn’t eaten or drank anything all day). It was my first time. First off, note that they only take cash — that can be a problem for people like me who use credit all day, every day. The restaurant is casual, but they still insist on waiting to be seated and having wait staff take your order. I found this a little weird, but whatever. The menu was very extensive and is a mix of thai, chinese, and vietnamese. We didn’t have trouble finding two entrees that would satisfy. We started with a Thai Iced Tea with Boba. It was good, but overpriced! I think it cost us $ 3.25. Now, maybe this is the going rate in Westwood, but back when I was a college student Boba was never more than $ 1.25… sheesh. I got the Pan-Fried Spicy noodles with Chicken, he got the Beef Yakisoba. Both were decent. Too much oil!!! How hard is it to reduce the amount of oil so I don’t feel like I’m eating noodle soup? It’s hard to complain about the taste — very good. Spicy enough. Nice mix of fresh veggies and meat. Overall, I liked it. I think I would return if I am ever in the mood for greasy, greasy americanized Asian food. Someone please tell me if there is cheaper Boba nearby.

Boba World was my first boba experience. I enjoyed it then and I enjoy it now. I have never been disappointed with any flavors I have gotten, but my favorite will always be the taro smoothie. It’s a great dessert to have once you’ve eaten a dinner somewhere in Westwood. The portion easily fills you up, and if you find any uneaten tapioca balls at the bottom of your cup, just use your straw and fire them babies out.

One of the few places you can satisfy your boba craving in Westwood, at least when I was there. It’s a big pricey, especially since I’ve been spoiled by 98 cent bobas in the San Gabriel Valley, but it’s good. It’s also within walking distance for students on campus.

Have the Japanese green tea latte with boba– delicious and I’ll take it over a Starbucks(or Coffee Bean) any day. I only wish there was one here in Chicago since I moved out of LA!
