Peet’s Coffee & Tea

Came here by accident visiting LA. Great customer service, very friendly and active baristas, good coffee (no over roasting!), and fine wifi. Morning has started great!

This Peet’s Coffee location is the gold standard for quality coffee and I couldn’t think of a better place to start out my day! The staff are all extremely personable and friendly and greet each and every customer with a warm smile and welcome each and every day. All of the beverages are made with the greatest care and with extreme attention to detail. Peet’s Westwood is also a great location to study, relax and engage in conversation with friends or family! It will always be my first stop in the morning… (1 large Americano to go please and thank you!)

–THIS PEET’S IS THE BEST AROUND!-I’ve been a resident here in Westwood for the last 6 months and I’ve indulged in all of the local coffee venues thanks to my daily coffee/​espresso habits. I have yet to experience a place in the area that provides comparable service, people, vibe and quality of the beverages here. Even though I am a USC student, I keep coming back here for these main reasons:
THE BARISTAS ARE JUST PLAIN AWESOME-​All of them! Very friendly and genuine people, they actually seem to give a shit about my day. There is hope in humanity
ALWAYS CLEAN-​Open air and high ceilings… this place is very cozy and comfortable… that being said, its a perfect lowkey study spot. I love reading and working on my lap top here. I always feel super comfortable and productive here.
ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE-​I couldn’t help but notice the amount of good looking people that enter this place on the regular. Not that it matters but it certainly is a pleasant distraction lol
NEVER OVERCROWDED– you wouldn’t think.
FANTASTIC SERVICE-​YES I READ NAME TAGS–
Cassidy makes amazing espressos! Perhaps its just a coincidence that he always works the shift that I’m there. If he’s working, I would not miss out, this guy is a true talent.
Jordan, Mike, Mel, Vince and Roxy are also amazing baristas! You likely will never be disappointed here. this whole crew is first class
TASTE-​Lattes, coffee and espressos. Delicious. They don’t overload anything with sugar here and don’t shortcut on milk! Thankfully I have yet to receive a drink that doesn’t meet my standards.
PRICE-​You get more than what you pay for here. I’ve been a Starbucks regular and even Coffeebean was my «go to» for a couple of months but after discovering this place, I couldn’t be happier.

Latte art is pictured prominently on the poster but the lattes here have NO love and NO art! There are no seats for paying patrons with a hot cup, only WiFi hogs with empty, cold cups.

This location always goes above and beyond. Their coffee is absolutely delicious and their service is truly outstanding. I go to Peet’s about three or four times a week and my drink always meets my expectations.

I generally love Pete’s coffee I love to come here I love the people I love the atmosphere and I love the selection however they do not know how to make a decent iced matcha green tea. When I ordered it I asked it to be iced in the whole cup came out full of ice in the drink was nothing but foam I told the barista and all he did was put whip cream on top. This was a total disappointment from what I thought I knew of Pete’s coffee my understanding of Pete’s coffee was that they had a high attention to detail I guess not in this case. If you would ask me what I go back Id probably hesitant to go back.

I come here most mornings to get my coffee and daily dose of friendly interaction. The workers here are very cheerful and coffee is exceptional.

So I’m someone who really really likes coffee. Like really likes coffee.
And I have to say that this is the BEST coffee you will find in the Westwood Village/​UCLA area. People can argue for Coffee Bean and Starbucks, but really– NO. Those drinks are just sugary masks to coffee.
Peet’s coffee respects the bean and puts quality attention and care into each cup (yes, even the non-​coffee drinks!)
They always are quick at the register and their baristas are just as fast in making my drinks perfect. Everyone is so friendly at this location as well
If you like coffee– come here and don’t go across the street. The bean is better at Peet’s.

Decent, reliable Peet’s coffee. Okay seating; not enough during prime studying hours. Extremely slow wifi.

Tried Peets in lou of Starbucks or Coffee Bean the other day because… why not.
Was kinda a mistake, as my standard drink a White Chocolate Latte (please dont judge me Unilocal) was significantly worse here. It tasted just weird and funny and like there was five truck loads of sugar in the drink. I actually didn’t finish it all because I did not enjoy it, which was unfortunate.
Still a nice place to sit down and study because it is a little farther away from campus, I had a poor drink experience.

Love this location! The staff is super friendly, they make their drinks quickly, and they can really move the line along when it’s out the door at 9 am. Plus, they always have almond milk (unlike all the other local coffee shops)!
Also, I appreciate that I don’t have to order my hot drinks at children’s temperature to avoid getting 3^rd degree burns on my tongue. Can’t say the same about any other coffee shop chains. :)

This place is nice and spacious – plenty of tables and seats for students and those that just want to sip tea/​coffee and study. It has serene feel that isn’t too noisy like some other coffee shops.
The young lady that took my order was amazing. She gave a deal on the canelés! I absolutely love canelés, and I try to get my hands on them whenever possible. So thank you to the young lady at the counter!
Most importantly, thy have one of the best White mochas I have ever tried, and I’ve tried at least 6 from five different places (commercial and mom and pop). Some white mochas taste like pure milk and are not sweet enough. Others are too sweet and taste like it doesn’t have shots/​coffee in it. This place has the perfect balance of coffee/​shots, milk, and sweetness! My new place to get my white mochas!

A great spot when it isn’t overrun with students and businesspeople desperate for wi-​fi. This seems to be a favorite spot for business meetings, which sometimes leads to a long line.
The staff is always warm and friendly, and I’ve never had anything here that didn’t taste fresh. I love their Black Iced Tea and Banana Nut Bread, though the Almond Croissant is a close second.
Lots of seating — if you can cut through the crowd!

With about a million other coffee shops within Westwood, I think I like this one the most (above Sbux & Coffee Bean). It is right across from the Hammer museum and right next to 800 Degrees. I like the drinks here more than Sbux and I think it actually might be a bit cheaper.
There are plenty of seats for you to sit and study or people watch. If you need to use the bathroom, it is a bit of a maze of endless corridors to walk to and there’s a pin so remember to get it before you make the journey to relieve yourself.
I usually get the Chai tea latte or the green tea latte, it is delish! It does close pretty early for a college town coffee shop.

Customer service: they were really friendly when taking my order and made sure to accommodate when I requested for a lighter roast and low-​calorie milk. However there was almost little to no space inside. Considering it’s by a college campus, I’d expect them to provide more space or at least bigger tables!
Coffee: I appreciated their 50% on their Javias, but the caramel tasted really strange! Definitely not like a Starbucks frap, and their coffee was still too strong. Gave me the runs!

Being from New York, I’m definitely more of a Starbucks girl but I’ve had Peet’s Coffee once before and I wanted something different (I had Starbucks 4 days in a row) so I decided to stop in here instead. The store is fairly big and the music is not loud, which I appreciate since one of my biggest pet peeves is that the music is too loud in Starbucks.
I ordered the medium Iced Milk Chocolate Almond Mocha (with Almond milk) because I saw the billboard outside the store advertising this new drink. Plus, it sounded good anyways. I was happily surprised to see that I also got $ 1 off that particular drink for checking in on Unilocal! (Love it when stores feature deals for Unilocal members.) I also got the lemon poppy bread as per the cashier’s recommendation.
I went to the bar to pick up my drink and was a little disappointed to see the size of it. I guess I’m used to Starbucks drinks and the medium here is much smaller than the Grande at Starbucks. They also don’t put a lid on your drinks and you just do it yourself on the side which can be annoying if you just want to get something quick to go.
Other than that, the drink and the lemon poppy bread was very standard. Nothing special about either. I may just stick to Starbucks since it tastes the same quality-​wise and I can collect Stars with Starbucks Rewards.

Solid coffee shop!!!
The workers here are SUPER accomodating to customizations and all their drinks are definitely carefully crafted.
I always get the iced vanilla latte and i love how they prepare it right in front of you. Another plus is that they often have free samples too!!! I
