This place is usually reliably mediocre. For delivery, it’s the only diner option nearby. But at this point I’m pretty done with them. They usually can’t find our house without the driver calling us first(even tho we order all the time and even started including specific directions with our orders) and also don’t come to our door usually. So tonight, I thought it was a good sign when the delivery guy actually came to our door and came within an hour of ordering(by they’re usual hour 20 delivery time, an hour is record speed). But no. They forgot my fries. The shakes were almost completely melted. My «mint chocolate chip» shake barely had any mint flavor at all and almost all of the chocolate chips(in their completely whole and uncrushed state) were settled on the bottom. I mean come on. Look, I am not below scooping those chocolate chips out with a fork and enjoying every bit of it. But you can’t charge over $ 4 for a shake that a child could make better, $ 2 maybe. Endless frustration with this place. But obviously I’ll be back for more punishment sooner or later since this is the only diner even remotely close to our house :/

So apparently this place isn’t open until mid night. Last night a couple friends and I walked in at 9:30 to get a milk shake and some fries and the lady working there who was at the cash register let us know as *we were walking through the door* it was closed, then RESUMEDTOCOUNTMONEY*. And when we asked why the sign written on the wall in paint, Google, AND Unilocal says open until midnight all she had to say was«NO».

The food was less than average… No flavor and had to drown everything in ketchup in order to taste anything. The service was horrible. The waitress acted like she didn’t even want to be there. 2 stars because I was hungry and it was food.

Not sure if I should give this a 4star or not. In my opinion 50’s café’s are usually built on great friendly service. I don’t feel like my man and I got that here. The waitress was very nonchalant about serving us. The food is good. Not a fan of the mint chocolate chip milkshake. There was a pile of chocolate chips halfway filling the glass. A bit too excessive for me. If you just want a bite to eat this this is okay, but if you really want to get a authentic experience I’d say go somewhere else. If you’re going to be that big on branding a 50’s diner, make sure you got all the aspects of it correct.

Love their meatloaf with the mash potatoes and gravy. Plus their shakes are good as well. Prices are pretty good, but the customer service really needs to improve.

I had my food delivered to work, the fries are cold, and the meat in the Philly cheesesteak sandwich looks weird. Such a bummer. I was looking forward to my food.

I love this restaurant that the hamburger was so delicious and for breakfast that I ate french toast was so good! I came by myself and sometimes with friends. You should go that place and you will love it when you go in look like old fashion 1950’s style so cool.

I’m glad there is a café to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner around LACC area. It’s a cute café with music box remind me of classic American movie, the food is also great. my most favourite is England chowder. American burger and sweet potato fries. And they give me hot coffee for free.

Stopped by with my brother, we both ordered the California burger. The California burger has mozzarella cheese and avocado. The burger was huge, it kinda felt apart but it was really good. I also ordered a chocolate banana shake, it was really good. The staff was really friendly and helped us as soon as we walked in the door. I was skeptical at first based on some of the reviews but I had a good experience here.

If you’re gonna hire a chimpanzee to do the job of a waitress, why open a diner at all? Never coming back.

I would have only expected less attentive service if I were a part of a prank show. After my order was taken, I was not checked in on again until about 15 minutes after I had finished eating. I asked for coffee with my order, then had to ask again when it did not arrive. «More coffee?» and«More water?» are questions not likely to be heard, unless you yourself are the one asking them. My waitress could not have tried harder to ignore me. I sat right next to the kitchen, and she walked past me about once or twice every few minutes, but adeptly avoided all forms of eye contact when I desperately tried to catch her gaze as she walked past. I couldn’t get her to refill my coffee or water, no matter how obviously both glasses sat on the edge of my table. With only 3 tables to attend to in a mostly empty restaurant, this should be an embarrassment to the owners. Aside from that, the wireless internet was not working, and no one would humor me and try to reset the router. Unfortunately, though, the food was pretty good, but I’ll have a hard time remembering anything other than how annoyed I was with the poor service.

sara does not work here anymore and she took all of the magic with her when she left sara always served your table with a smile and made sure the pepper and salt shakers were full and always brought me extra ranch even when i asked for a third side of ranch or a fourth or a fifth or sometimes a sixth when I wasn’t done with my fifth because I wanted to be ready to just dive into the sixth without having to wait and she never questioned me but maybe she knew my plan I’m not sure but she just understood me there are new people who work there now and I didn’t bother to learn their names so I just call them all Not Sara and I’m not sure if they like that or not but they took forever to refill my coffee so I’m not really concerned with how you feel Not Sara I went with my boyfriend and he got this sandwich called a monte cristo which is a deep fried ham and cheese sandwich and it has like powdered sugar and you put jam on it and I know what you’re thinking that sounds incredible right well no you would not be right this is why you shouldn’t interrupt it was like juicy but not in a good crispy way like good fried food but in a wet way like when you have a bunch of wet paper in your mouth but the cheese was good at least so maybe imagine having wet paper and cheese in your mouth the fries are really burnt and salty but they didn’t use to be this way they used to be perfectly salty and crispy and delicious so this leads me to the conclusion that Sara used to also cook the food but now she is gone and Not Sara has to cook the food and he/she is just totally lost also the service is really slow and it sometimes smells like delicious bread but other times it just smells like porcelain like you’re at the courthouse or something

I came here for breakfast with some co-workers. The place is actually really cool as far as the interior. Lots of old movie posters and artifacts from the 50’s. Now, you would think that coming in at about 7:30 in the morning, this place would be bustling with customers, but there were maybe one other table with customers. That’s never a good sign. The waiter seated us and took our orders. I think I may have figured out why people don’t come here in the mornings. It took literally half an hour or more to get our food. I’d understand if there were a lot of other patrons inside, but we were literally the only ones there. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs, and it was just ok. It wasn’t horrible nor was it mind blowing. I don’t think I’d come back here just because it took so damn long to get our food. Parking is in the back and there’s several spaces available, but I can see the struggle of finding parking during peak hours, haha if there are even peak hours here.

This place is Adorable!!! I loved it Today was the first time me and my hubby tried it. The service was good and on time. The chicken tenders are good. My hubby had the cheeseburger & fries he said it was good. But the highlight was trying The Banana Nut Milkshake. Woe!!! It is delicious!!! I’d so recommend to give it a try. It’s worth every penny. The place is decorated cute & old fashioned and I really enjoyed seeing the old pictures on the walls

Oh my, this place has gone way down hill. I use to dream of the turkey focaccia sandwich. I loved it it like a fat kid loves… well, a turkey focaccia sandwich. The fresh carved turkey they used has now been replaced by some sort of heavily processed, «squishy» turkey substance. No matter how you request your burger to be cooked, it will come out well done. And look, I’m not some asshole looking for grommet food at a diner, I just want the solid, American style diner food that the use to provide. On the upside, the place still looks really great. Big comfortable booths, great old 45 jukebox, and really cool stuff to look at on the wall. It’s just really disappointing because I loved this place, and it’s super depressing to see it go down hill. If I had to guess, there was some change of ownership, and the new owners are trying to cut corners at all the wrong places. Oh well, I guess it’s time to cut up my frequent diner’s card.
