I was a bit wary of this place since their website didn’t show very much inventory, but my mum had seen their ad in the Korea Times and she said it would be worth at least a look. We’ve been looking to replace the chairs on our«breakfast table»(we actually eat all our meals there but it’s a smaller table from IKEA that seats just 4) for quite some time but we could never find the right chair. So we drove to Ktown and checked this place out. It has a small parking lot to the east of the showroom that fits 3 – 4 cars. We had to ring the doorbell for them to let us in from that entrance(they have a larger entrance facing Pico) but it was all very quick and easy. Their showroom is actually pretty large and very well furnished. My mum and I were impressed by the furniture that they had. And most importantly, we found the chairs that we wanted! They were egg-shaped chairs that were on a round bottom and turned from side to side(that’s probably not a good description of it but hopefully you get the point). We had been looking for that style everywhere and couldn’t find it; IKEA had a cheap imitation one but my mum was looking for something of higher quality. And Design House had exactly that – quality furniture. Unfortunately since we were only buying 4 chairs(instead of 6) we weren’t able to get their sale set price, but they were still able to offer us decent prices for them. They weren’t in stock so we did a deposit on the chairs and then Design House was to call us once they got them. This was where we had our only hiccup – we never got their call. So we ended up having to call and follow up with them but in the end it all worked out and we were able to pick up the chairs(it would have been too expensive to get them to deliver to Arcadia). The chairs were in perfect condition, very well wrapped, and we have been enjoying them for almost two months now. So if you’re looking for simple but beautiful furniture for your house, this place is definitely worth a look!
