Staff here is very rude. Came in unsure of what to get because it was my second time here, asked the cashier (who looked to be the general manager) advice of what to get. Didn’t look me in the eye, and was rushing me by the short and abrasive way he answered my questions. There was nobody behind me and only one other patron eating inside. They also messed my order up. I asked for to go and they made it for in house. When I politely mentioned I needed it to go, the girl rolled her eyes and yanked the plate back.
Food wise: it’s decent. The chicken is awesome. The rice is hard.
Cleanliness: very clean. But the customer service is why I’m giving this place two stars. Maybe treat your patrons nicer, even if it is such a brief interaction.

All foods were not as good as in other locations.
I ordered a soup and it was not hot enough and too salty. I couldn’t believe that it was a soup and couldn’t eat anymore so asked for them to add some hot water.
Man, and then this man did not put any hot water and just microwaved I guess.
Now it became hotter but still stayed as thick and salty as before.
It sooner or later became cold again, so I added some water by myself and asked them to reheat it for me. They were like «again?» Shaking their head. The main dish is also cold like a frozen instant plate from supermarket.
Their customer service and attitude killed my appetite.

Great, friendly group of folks that run this place! As far as fast food joints go, this place is a category by itself.
Food is your typical grilled-​fast-​food-​chicken selection. Space is compact but decent. Service facilities clean.

South Gate, CA
If you are going to come around 12 – 1, it WILL be busy.
That being said, the staff does what it can in order to keep the line moving rapidly.
The staff is very friendly but the cashier Veronica, goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. She has great customer service and always adds a persinal connection to every customer.
There are many locations around LACC but I Choose to come here for the great customer service I receive
My one complaint is that my cilantro dressing was FROZEN!

So time says 9:00am I’m there 9:15 cus I am starving and pregnant and craving a salad. So no open I see their times and says 9:30 ok I wait so I see they open and clean hit 9:35 can I come in no. Not ready yet so I decide to leave. Change the times on the sign please

I love the shrimp avocado tacos here. They are delicious. Staff is always friendly. I’ve been coming to this location for at least two years and employees never have treated me badly. They have a free restroom to use. It gets messy in there tho. Other than that inexpensive good food.

Im sitting here now and this place is loud super busy and my food was gross. My rice was hard. My chips totally stale and staff was so so. They messed up my daughters order.

The staff are friendly, everything with carne asada is horrible. The taste of the carne asada isn’t what you think, it’s not good. The chicken burritos have to be the best! Whenever they get slow they walk around offering the customers mints/​handwipes/​toothpicks/​etc, instead of chit chatting with each other.

It’s El Pollo Loco, so don’t come in here expecting anything fancy. If you don’t, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Food is enjoyable, restaurant is clean, and surprise surprise, the customer service is fantastic. I never wait long for my food and am always greeted with courtesy and a smile from the friendly people who work here.

Update– well they had glenda there in the past she was such a bxxch, now they have this guy named Nelson and he’s worse the customer service is horrible I found a fly in my salsa, and those fake beans that come in a can gave me really bad gas Jesus Christ

This place sucks! They made me wait 20min for two tacos and churros, then when I finally got my food I realized they never packed my churros. Forget this place, horrible customer service!

Just say no to Pollo Loco. The staff is friendly and nice, but the food was horrible. It had no flavor. This area is not well lit at night which made it a bit shady. The restaurant was a mess (trashes full, condiment station needed to be cleaned). I will not be returning to this location or any other Pollo Loco location forever.

This El Pollo Loco is super cool!
Went last Tuesday night and the staff there was awesome. They were friendly and talkative and gave amazing customer service. Once a line formed they promptly opened a second register, I’ve never seen that before at EPL.
The food came incredibly fast, and was more delicious than usual!
