Been dealing with acne for 18 years (started at 16 — ended at 33 thanks to Erin Call). I was determined to find a cure for my acne so I started seeing dermatologists in 2012. First dermatologist gave me a regimen and would ask me to visit with him in 3 months to see the results; marginal improvement (reduced frequency of breakouts) — stopped seeing this first doctor after 6 months. Second dermatologist gave me a very similar regimen as the first doctor and also scheduled quarterly update visits. After the first quarter, no improvement, so he upped the potency of the creams he was prescribing. After 9 months of seeing this doctor I gave up and in my desperation to cure my acne led me to order the Proactive kit. Within the same week, I was randomly recommended to Eric. Upon meeting her she gave me a regimen that involved 2 – 3 topical products and 1 oral product with monthly visits. I could see a difference within the first month. Reduced frequency of breakouts, less severe breakouts. My skin started healing nicely, got better skin tone as a result of not constantly having red marks on my cheeks/​forehead. I now am pretty much cured. I have very occasional breakouts because my skin is extremely oily but nothing in comparison to how bad my acne used to be. Erin knew what to prescribe me and she listened well to my needs and would recommend this accordingly. I highly recommend Erin! I really didn’t think I could have good acne-​free skin. Thank you Erin!

I’ll admit that I am extremely blessed to have not experienced acne in my high school days and even through college. I would have the occasional hormonal outbreak that I attacked, leaving open wounds and scars that I later regretted. Aside from my inability to not pick my face, I breezed through my teens relatively unharmed by the effects of acne and so never once thought to take care of my skin. I tanned a ridiculous amount, never wore sunscreen when I was a lifeguard for four years, and maybe washed my face in the morning before school. At the time it had no obvious damage and it wasn’t until the summer after college and a humongous move to Los Angeles from the midwest that I noticed I couldn’t continue with my teenage skincare routine.
From cystic acne that would bubble and scar to small pimples that broke out amongst my forehead and chin like a rash, I started to experience insane skin problems. I cursed my early twenties and pinned the blame on hormones and stress. While these things most definitely played a part in the eruption on my skin, I knew I was also not treating my skin correctly. I researched and purchased items with no luck and no money left in my bank account. I started to give up and hide in my bed. After many tearful mornings and nights of FOMO, I decided to visit Goldman and Dubow.
I was immediately set up with Erin Call and after describing my symptoms she prescribed a topical treatment (Onexton) and also an antibiotic (Actilate). Within weeks my skin cleared up and I was relieved to discover a social life again. I continued to have monthly check ups that then turned into every other month and finally at my sixth month check up Erin’s work was done. Each check up I would describe my progress and concern with dryness or small breakouts and Erin would know exactly what to give me whether a soothing hydrocortisone for my undereye or a retina to rectify a few pimples on my forehead. My battle with zits came to end with Erin’s help and although I say goodbye to her for acne assistance, I will be back for any other dermatology questions or concerns.

I’ve struggled with bad acne for years. I tried everything from proactive, the clarisonic, facial appointments, changing my pillow case nightly, etc. Nothing worked, I had severe acne and didn’t feel very good about myself. After a few weeks seeing Erin, I couldn’t believe it, my acne had cleared up!
Erin is awesome, she’s really sweet and truly cares about her patients. Every time I come in for an appointment I leave feeling grateful and happy to be getting such great treatment. If your struggling with acne don’t delay! My only regret is I wish I would have came here sooner!

I have always had embarrassing severe acne due to a hormonal imbalance. I’ve tried proactive, different antibiotics, and seen many doctors who have been unhelpful. Finally, I found Erin! She’s seriously a miracle worker. She examined me and provided me with many options, detailing price breakdowns and treatments. We decided on a combination of a wash, gel, and antibiotic. I saw Erin every month and each appointment we noticed improvements. I finally feel comfortable with my skin and don’t shy away from taking off my shirt in public!
Today when I saw her I mentioned some other skin concerns I was having and she was once again extremely knowledgable when my primary care physician was not!

I was recently diagnosed with alopecia areata, which is a rare condition and extremely difficult/​near impossible to treat. I found this dermatology thanks to a recommendation by an online alopecia support group. This office has an amazing reputation for treating alopecia — believe me, they lived up to every bit of hype and more. My first office visit, I met and was treated by Erin Call, PA-​C. She initially struck me as very enthusiastic in her field and also that being an expert in all facets of dermatology is very important to her, which is very important to me because obviously I want my healthcare provider to be up on all the latest advancements in medicine.
As a younger woman, losing all my hair has been a painful process physically but much more so emotionally. Being treated by Erin Call, PA-​C, as a young woman herself, I felt she understood and had such compassion for me as a person not just another patient. Erin Call, PA-​C has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced in a medical provider. She’s genuinely rooting for you to get better. Good bedside manner is a high priority on my list, especially since I felt vulnerable and somewhat traumatized by my illness; however, I would not pick bedside manner over experience and effective treatment. Thankfully, with Erin Call, PA-​C you don’t have to choose. She is the perfect combination of knowledge/​expertise with a caring bedside manner.
My alopecia is stress-​related/​triggered by stress. Erin is very knowledgeable and knows this as well. She is trying to get me back on track, including using the «treating the whole person» approach, which is key to getting my disease into remission. Managing my stressors properly, eating right, and exercising are all needed in combination with the treatment I am getting from Erin Call, PA-​C, and she has made this clear in a very kind and supportive way by providing referrals to psychiatrists and other healthcare providers and in many other ways.
Now, I am new to alopecia but have had a lifelong struggle with eczema and have seen many dermatologists in my life. However, none compare even one percent to Erin, PA-​C. I honestly thought there were only four creams to treat eczema because that’s all I’ve ever gotten in the past. After being treated by Erin Call, PA-​C, I have come to realize that apparently there’s a whole world of creams, lotions, sprays and many different kinds of corticosteriods that help different kinds of eczema in different areas of your body. Erin knows exactly which one to prescribe and the specific area of your body you’re supposed apply it to for maximum effectiveness.
Having a lifelong condition, you tend to know more about it than the doctors do, but that’s not so with Erin. I have been shocked at how much I didn’t know about my own lifelong eczema. She is truly an expert! I also had a new weird skin problem that I thought was bed bugs or something because it was different than my usual eczema and it was painful and scarring. Erin took one look at it and without hesitation knew exactly what it was and prescribed a medication that made it disappear instantly — it was miraculous! She’s amazing. I cannot recommend her more highly. I think I can safely say you won’t find a better dermatologist. Erin Call, PA-​C has been instrumental in helping me keep my eczema and psoriasis at bay where all other dermatologists I have been utterly useless to me in that regard. Erin Call’s treating my skin condition has really just been a happy accident of going to this office to treat my alopecia. I suppose that’s the silver lining to my hair loss.
I’ve been seeing Erin for a year and half now and am happy to report that my treatment for my alopecia has been a success. Most of my hair has re-​grown and I have been able to go out in public without a wig or scarf for nine months now. To sum it up, if Erin Call, PA-​C can treat such a complicated disease as alopecia, I would be confident in her ability to treat whatever is ailing you, whether it’s cosmetic or serious like skin cancer.
