It’s the Summer Solstice what else could be better than to catch and watch the sunset in the longest day of the year by the beach! After an afternoon stroll from Santa Monica to Venice beach, a sweet treat is in order! Fortunately, like an Oasis in the unending stream of tourist and regulars at the Venice Boardwalk, Freeze Breeze presented itself like a summer’s heat rescue!(Thank goodness for those giant marketing signs by the boardwalk haha) The place is just right for the location, it is tucked in a small business corner across a yogurt and smoothie shop, people basically just come and go, There is quite a few Specialty ice cream selection which you can readily browse through as you enter, behind the glass cabinet, gallons of delicious frozen delights just awaits the craving of the ice cream lover, from your basic vanilla to the fancy-smanzy rainbow sherbet oh-lala! the selection almost reminds me of an Ice cream parlor I used to go to(BR). I ordered a large sugar cone of Vanilla & Pistachio — good combo I have to say, serving was pretty generous too! Don’t expect the fancy toppings, sprinkles and drizzly thinga-majiggy.they don’t have em! You won’t miss it though, the ice cream was really good all by itself ;) Cone size comes in four sizes, There is a small and large sugar cone and the other two is just your typical grocery cones, go for the sugar cones, the more ice cream gets absorbed by it as it melts the better it taste! Hmmm good! If you’re in Venice Beach, Freeze Breeze is something you have to check out. Scoops of ice cream piled on a sugar cone under the lovely California sun — melting on your hand… lick it, slurp it, do however you want to eat it… Enjoy!
