Gold Link has great products both for the public and dealers. They have a huge selection, the quality is top notch. Best of all if they do not have it in stock they will either make it or find it for you. I’ve been dealing with Lara and her father for quite some time and Gold Link Company Inc is a gem in Downtown Los Angeles jewelry district.
They have been in the jewelry industry for generations and their experience is transparent.

For the last three weeks, I’ve been spending an inordinate amount of time staring at my finger. Not the one with the weird bump on the knuckle, but the one with the diamond at its base. We picked it up at Gold Link, and we couldn’t be happier.
Gold Link is a family business, and full disclosure — I am friends with the daughter, Lara K., who works here. I’m as capable of bias as anyone, but guys, I think you can trust this review. Matt spent a lot of money on this pretty bauble, and we wouldn’t have gone with Gold Link if it didn’t feel right.
The place does a lot of wholesale business, selling diamonds to other dealers downtown. I think their direct-​to-​customer sales are somewhat limited, but as the store is physically accessible and Lara gave me the okay to review, you might try your luck. They just don’t advertise, and as you can see, have no Unilocal presence.
The space is big, and the gold jewelry pops out at first sight a lot more than the diamonds. To be fair, though, I’m not sure anyone is in the market for large chains of diamonds. Once you go in, you can see a lot of beautiful stones behind glass. We gave Lara our budget as well as a range of specs, and she came out with a diamond that sounded a lot nicer than what we could afford. It turned out they had gotten a good deal on it, and they were willing to pass on the low price to us. (I assume Lara would’ve put a stop to this review if the goods were stolen. It is, however, entirely possible that the diamond carries a terrible story of bloody divorce.) It was perfect in every way, and spoiler, we bought it! It’s on my finger right now, you guys.
But first, we looked at a few other diamonds, all beautiful, with variations in size and color and clarity. We spent a long time looking at diamonds, side by side on black fabric, in settings, under a magnifier. It was fun to do, and Lara guided us through the whole process like a pro.
Once we decided on the ring and setting, we put in the order and waited. I know some people like to be surprised with a ring, but how often do you get to buy an extravagant piece of jewelry? For me, the answer is probably once, so I was going to choose it after careful study with my own eyes. It took a few weeks for the ring to be finished, and Matt pulled off a proposal that surprised me against all odds. I love my ring (and my fiancé too, but as I’m not reviewing a fiancé store, I’ll keep that parenthetical), and I couldn’t be more pleased with the way we got it.
