Wow! Thanks to the Unilocal reviews I tried this place & loved it! Huge portions for reasonable prices. They don’t skimp on anything. I had the beef & broccoli and my mom had the chicken chow mein. We shared a huge bowl of wor won ton soup. Had enough left over to take home & make another meal! The food was very tasty. The soup was the best Chinese soup I’ve had in years. Plenty of chicken, won tons & vegetables. YUM! I’ll definitely be going back. Want to try their sandwiches.

I have give them five for taste and value. Great lunch special and a very big portion. Egg rolls and orange chicken were delicious. Completely satisfied with the speed of the service.

ok its a diner. but it is a five star diner. I can not find much that has changed from wongs. staff is a little more friendly and no more milkshakes. Other than that. I notice it is slowly building up its old clientel. :)

Been hitting this place up for over 20 years. Still a killer fried rice and chow mein. You can’t go wrong. Egg rolls are the best ever, seriously.

Wow, Im impressed, i have been here twice and the First time i just tought i got lucky with my plate. But after coming back again, i can see that this place really does this every day. Flavor, Taste, Service Price, can go wrong in this stablishment…

One of the best Japanese places in the valley by far. They have the best food… The place is pretty small but it’s packed with bomb food…

The food is horrible. It has no flavor whatsoever. They took off the Hunan Chicken which was my favorite. I have eaten there 7 times and will not go back. Whomever is doing the cooking needs to learn how to make the food correctly. It’s bland, greasy and lukewarm when you get it. Yuck!

I was expecting it to be just as good as Wons, but it wasn’t. I ordered the chicken w/broccoli lunch special. And it hardly had any gravy and a lot less food. It was not good at all! They raised the prices and less food! Don’t plan on going back!

This place use to be called Won’s American and Chinese Food! I think it has a new owner who changed the name to Honk Kong … The cook and waitresses are the same people, however the food quality has gotten a little better, I think.

Went there last week and found out about the name change. Went in and it was just as good as before. Prices went up but so does everything. Eggs are higher so they had to raise the price. I love two things there. The two egg, fried rice and toast breakfast and the Egg Foo Young. Had the breakfast. Great as always. Going back today for the Egg Foo Young. It is still less expensive than many other places and they give a lot of food. Sometimes I get two meals out of one. I am sure that if you don’t see something on the menu you want, they would make it for you. They are very nice people. I wish the new owners all the best.

Same restaurant, new name(used to be Won’s Café), same friendly service, same taste, slightly different menu. If you want lots of food for your money, and you like your food to be greasy, this is your place. If you like your chinese food to be fresh, light, and tasty, then not so much. The old school counter atmosphere keeps me coming back.

The restaurant was known as Wongs. But it closed after many years I’ve been coming here since I was a kid the new Hong Kong diner is great I think you get more for ur money and the food tastes just as great if not better. If you come here I recommend the chicken noodle soup, specially on a cold day.

When I read that Won’s had reopened as Hong Kong Diner, I literally dropped everything I was doing and drove over to Van Nuys to see for myself. Yes, new sign and new menus and some freshening up of the place. I am not exactly sure what they dropped off the old menus, but the new ones seemed to have everything I wanted. I posted a picture of the new signage. And they are open until 830pm now. Still closed on Sundays.
