Jimmy Gimelli

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with DJ Jimmy. He is a very talented DJ, with a great jazz singing voice. He kept our wedding upbeat, and made sure to include all of our requests in the evening mix. We would highly recommend him to anyone getting married that appreciates live singing of classic songs by Sinatra, etc.

I’m a former radio DJ and record producer… so music is important to me. I got married a few weeks ago and we hired Jimmy to be our DJ. I can’t tell you how thrilled we were with him! We had sent him a smattering of songs and requests that my wife and I wanted to include. He took our ideas and amplified them tenfold, playing a great mix of the stuff we liked and others that fit the same genre.
Some may not know that Jimmy is not only an excellent DJ, but also a fantastic singer. Remember… I’m a former record producer, so I know what good pipes are! Jimmy did a couple of smoky numbers with a trio we’d hired to play the cocktail hour, which was way cooler than just instrumental. He also sang live as we were doing our first dance, «The way you look tonight» which made it extra special. The dude’s got the total Sinatra/​Connick, torch-​vibe down pat.
My wife and I worried that folks *might* not dance much at our wedding, as the crowd was very mixed with ages from the 20’s to the 80’s. Jimmy kept excellent songs pumping and folks young and old were wearing themselves out on conga lines, solos and dance offs all night long.
Jimmy was professional, talented and exceeded our expectations of what we expected for our wedding. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend him to anyone wanting great music at their event!
