I’ve been to plenty of JRs but never to one like this. It’s very small. My food was good but my shake was horrible! $ 5 down the drain. First of all the ice cream had freezer burn and I had chucks of ice in my shake and I asked for a Oreo shake and she made me a chocolate Oreo shake but I didn’t ask for that? The staff was friendly but their listening skills could be improved because I had to repeat my order numerous times. It’s a cool place if you are a craving a burger and that’s about it. I would try a different Johnny Rockets location.

Here at least one a week, the hot dogs are good and so are the onion rings, chili cheese fries and milk shakes. Workers there are super friendly!

Food was ok. I don’t get why a drink isn’t included in a meal but Ehh. $ 12 bucks for everything. And when I get home and check my account. They charged $ 15. I didn’t know they can just add on «tips» as they please. I’m not cheap but I’m traveling for a long time and every penny counts. I cleaned up after myself and brought the basket back myself. I don’t like being robbed like that. Bad business practice. Glad I didn’t leave money on the counter as I was contemplating.

Nana, the manager, is awesome. Always provides the most outstanding customer service. She never disappoints. If there’s a problem, she will fix it. I have been coming here for a long time. I love the food and atmosphere!!! The mood is great. I love all things 50s. The music selection is great. I wish I born in those times.

Came here for a bite before our night out drink king. Really hit the spot and Ariana was sweet and cheery. Fun way to start our night !!

was there aroud the area and was craving burgers so we stopped by here to this place
the service was really good i wasnt sure what to get and the man was very helpful and informative
i forgot his name but hes mexican and is the shift lead at night when i went about two weeks ago.
food was made in a good time
place isnt as authentic as other johny rockets but thats not up to the workers. (very clean as well by the way)

We were in the area and already parked so we walked over to here to eat. We have one closer to home but have never been before. To be honest it smelled a little but it had an A rating and since parking is such an issue in the area I was not leaving. We went to order and the gentleman taking our order was excellent. Sorry I didn’t get his name but he was on point for sure. My husband always gets a plain and dry burger. Sounds simple enough but you would be surprised how many times some people don’t get the concept. Not this time, it was perfect. The employee overheard us talking about sharing a chili cheese fry and me saying I would eat some but really didn’t want any. He offered to substitute hubbies regular fry with a half order of the chilii cheese ones at a lower price. When we said we would share a drink he gave me a cup for water. Food was excellent. I got the BOCA burger (non meat), it was amazing. Food and service were both outstanding. There are some bad reviews for this location on here and not sure whats up, everyone has a bad experience once in awhile but I can say mine was great and I would eat there again if in the area and no I am not sponsored by them. LOL

Forgot to mention, I got sick from the food. Absolute horror experience! Whoever writing good stuff about this place, they probably got sponsored with a burger. Otherwise it is not worth going there !

STOP and read this before you drive out here. As some of the other posts mention, the pictures and reviews for this Johnny Rockets is not this exact restaurant. This one is literally a hole in the wall, not very spacious and SMELLS SO BAD. Like a wet mop or just really musty armpits, the odor is recognizable as soon as you walk in. I almost considered walking out and into the next door restaurant but my boyfriend had already started ordering and we had driven around the block 6 times to look for parking to get here.
Service was eh — mediocre, if they upped it up a little more in this area I might not have been so upset about the smell. But then again maybe not, why would you want to eat at a restaurant that smells this bad? Bad smells kill my appetite for sure. Good thing they had like two tables for outdoor seating. That’s where I had to eat.

Has great customer service. They treated me like they valued me. Their burgers are delicious and look presentable. Definitely recommend it.

Small little hole in the wall but my order was quick food is fresh and customer service superb :)

First things first, half of the pictures in this Unilocal is not even from THIS Johnny Rockets, the pictures makes it seem like Its SOOOO MUCH MORE THAN IT IS. The place isn’t even big enough to dance around. You can barely fit five people in a line in front of the register without hitting the door.
Secondly, Worst customer service! Walking in, the girl at the register was cold. We were ordering and she was seemed so impatient. I didn’t even get a receipt. The place then got our shakes wrong, we got strawberry after ordering a chocolate and then after that they got our order wrong for the burgers. When I told her, politely, she insisted I ordered what she had given me. The burger names don’t even sound the same. See I thought of a reason that this could happen and one, she either needs to clean her ears and pay more serious attention to what the customers want or I have short term memory loss.
Plus the seats outside seriously needs to be wiped down cause it was so dirty!
Another thing is that (not really serious but still annoying) the shakes are in these ugly beat up metal cups, I thought they would be in pretty glasses like the advertisements of their products.

Delicious delicious delicious!!! Service is fast and courteous. Anything you need, you get quickly. Food is always fresh and the cashier ALWAYS has a smile on her face!

I sincerely feel as though I just had a mediocre first time. The inside of the place smelled like a wet mop. They have about three small tables outside, so we ate there. The food taste was eh but the service was really great. I will give it a second try one day.

This place is pretty good. Came after the lunch crowd. some people complain about service but when we went there was only two people working. a chef and a waiter/cashier.both were polite and went as fast as possible. Got the burger, chicken tenders and fries with a vanilla shake. Big portions. the tenders came with 7 pieces! And probably one of the best vanilla shakes I’ve had. and best of all the ketchup had a smiley :)

Probably the best Johnny rockets in LA! The food is always soooo good and well done. it’s never too busy so I always get a good table. the people who work here are all so chill, but the one who stole my heart is the spunky red head chicka in the front she’s the best :)

I had a #12, a cheeseburger, with everything. It comes a good sized side of Fries. The quality and taste is always good at JR. Nice, and clean here. Plenty of nostalgic vibe!

I ordered a #12 burger and a side of onion rings.
The food wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better burgers and onion rings elsewhere for more or less about the same price.
Parking in the area is pretty iffy, unless maybe you’re willing to pay for it.
On the upside, the staff at the restaurant was very helpful and friendly — no complaints from me at all as far as the service goes.
I will probably come back and eat here again, but I will definitely try something else on the menu.
If you want a noticeably better burger than what is offered by Johnny Rockets, FarmerBoys is only a few blocks away on Alameda & Bay (they also have a drive-​thru, in addition to much greater parking availability).
