I love me some King Taco, but do NOT come here if you are in a hurry! They are super duper SLOW here! The line is looong, but there is NO sense of urgency whatsoever in getting the food out! I think I’ve been waiting for over half an hour, I’m sure my lunch break is OVER!!! I wont come back to this location!

Sopes are delicious. But, be warned. You will have to wait at least 50 mins to get your food.

King Taco is one of the most authentic, fast food style Mexican food joints in Los Angeles. There is always a line, no matter what time you go, and its packed with a diverse crowd of people from latinos to caucasians to koreans(like me). You really cant go wrong with any of your food options here, and if you like spicy food you need to try the red sauce!

Excellent food, shitty service. The young lady taking the order is passive aggressive and the prep staff shows no urgency with 25 tickets pending(yes I counted them). I’ve been going here for over 20 years and it keeps getting worse. Good food can no longer save this service.

Tacos are over rated. Burritos are decent. Tamales are awesome!!! Customer service is horrible. Everyone seems to have an attitude

Holy smokes!!! Coming out of my ear! Haha I seriously just had the best burrito I’ve ever tasted in South Central! Chunks of well seasoned beef, beans rice combined with a salsa that even dragons would love! Hail to the King. Taco!!! It was soooo gooood! Their quesadillas are not to be outdone as well! Perfectly prepared, eat it while it’s hot and see how that yummy cheese and the creamy guacamole just bring delight in your mouth! A perfect blend of a slight crunch and gooeyness with a wonderful touch of creaminess! What is King Taco without their AMAZING Tacos!!! This«almost» bite size carne asada packed tortillas are the perfect snack for those taco craving taste buds! If you are a spicy food lover such as myself, make sure to drizzle and lather these little babies with their“TDF”(to die for” salsa! Whether be it a green or red — they both no less than delicious! I absolutely enjoyed my first King Taco visit! It surely did not disappoint and I highly recommend when those Taco cravings come to haunt you! Enjoy!!! P.S: don’t forget to get their Horchata! it will sure help pacify and calm down those taste buds after getting a dose of their fiery delectable goodies!

Great! You can never go wrong at any King Taco location. Every one I’ve been to taste’s great. I always order carne asada tacos. The meat is always seasoned perfectly and is always tender. Got in right before the lunch rush so service was pretty quick. It’s larger than the others I’ve been to but it’s appropriate given the location. The courthouse is nearby so it gets busy. Metro rail line runs by here so it’s easily accessible whether in a car, walking or taking the train. I had no idea they served Atole! I tried it and it was good.

This king taco never fails. I like this location better than any other. Their meat is the most delicious!

So today I went to this king taco. I got the nachos and ate a bit at the restaurant. When I got home I ate some more and as I got to the last pieces I encountered my worst nightmare. Not just any hair but a pubic hair. I am beyond disgusted, furious and just overall disgusted. I threw up but I still can’t get the image out of my head. I demand my money back and for the food inspectors to come and check this place. I am so disgusted. I demand a manager to speak to me and I demand my money back asap!!! Don’t ever go here!!! It is not healthy!!!

Waited 30 minutes to finally get my order n I still had to wait for them to finish my order even after they called me. The carne asada tacos tasted like rancid mineral seasoned beef. I always play myself when I come here. I picture the food being delicious, instead I leave all pissed off n dying bc the green sauce is too spicy for my Mexican ass

Dear Mr. King Taco, thank you for being soo cheap and stingy with your salsa. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, and the one time I ask for extra salsa I was told no! The taquero pointed to your salsa sign, and tells me that I can only have two per my order. I explained that I had also ordered a whole chicken along with our burrito, and a taco. He hands me my order and I ask about the chicken, and he points to the register. I walk over and ask the girl at the register about the chicken, and she points to the chicken line. Now I am waiting in another line for the chicken, and the guy attending us doesn’t say hello, he just looks at me. I show him my number, he hands me the food and I ask for extra salsa. The moment I say salsa he became bothered because he had to walk over to the taquero side, and restock. If asking for extra salsa is such an issue why don’t you charge us, very simple solution. What really made me pop off was when I noticed a young girl in her 20s walk up, ask for salsa, and without being questioned was given 4 salsas!!! The taquero had no problem giving her extra salsas. The quality of the food has changed over time, and the burritos keep shrinking. It’s been trill King Taco, but I rather go to another taco place where my salsa consumption is not limited. #peace

This place is ridiculous, I paid for some carne asada nachos the guy hardly put any chess or meat when I asked for more he said«you need to pay for more» so I paid to have a decent amount of cheese on my nachos. Not only is all King Taco greedy with there salsa but now they don’t even put good amount of product on your meals this is not ok. I shouldn’t have to pay extra to have a good amount of food on my meal.

Love the small shop. Has a homey feel. It’s just a great restaurant. In fact they know the demand and have another one right around the block. Service is always good and polite. Some people that never went didn’t know that the wait can sometimes be long so plan for a 20 min wait in rush hour traffic after your order is placed. Consistent taste for the food. Tried the asada, al pastor and chicken tacos. It is authentically street tacos. Juicy and fast service. Remember. Always packed at lunch time around 12pm to 2pm. You can plan to go at 11am if you can and miss the traffic.

IN-OUT of Burrito Shops, you just got to come & see for yourself. It’s not Corporate at all. It’s your typical hole in wall burrito shops(My Favorite Kind) and the food is amazing

How can you not love King Taco?!! It is by far one of the best Taco chains in LA, my only gripe is the closest location is about half an hour away from me, so when I am close to one, I have to stop. I think I have been to pretty much every location by now, and I find them all consistent in that it is just no frills, great Mexican food, with long lines. Since it gets really full here, best is to go at off hours, I usually come early mornings to avoid a line. I always go with the al pastor, really the reason for coming here. Best tasted in the tacos, so I always get a few of those. My husband is partial to the burritos, my son the quesadilla, which is really the best value, tacos and burritos are tiny, order double of what you would anywhere else. I love the green sauce, my husband the red, quesadilla is the only item that comes with guac, also very much worth it. Prices are a bit high compared to portion size, but the taste is always so spot on, its worth every penny!

I’ve been to multiple King Tacos, and this establishment is very small. This makes it feel over crowded with people and tables. When we were looking for a seat, we had to wait like vultures until someone cleared the table and race to get the seat. It felt like we were in a parking lot during Christmas shopping. The food is still good, but I don’t know why, but the other location nearby tastes better. I got tacos, and they were just okay. I think it needed more lemon like the other King Taco provides. The only good thing is that it is faster than the other establishments. Not super fast, just faster in comparison.

We eat King Taco 2 – 3 times a month at thus location and this time I decided to write a review. So n this Downtown LA location has the main location on one street and a second smaller location across the street. We usually go to the smaller location across the street because the line is much smaller and we always order to go. The smaller location has parking in the front and additional parking in the back. I recommend avoiding the main restaurant and going to the smaller but much faster location.

Nom nom nom :-P oh how I love King Taco. There’s always some wait time, but you’re seriously in and out in a matter of a few minutes. You don’t have to worry about if you’re going to get a seat or not because they have tons of tables. Make sure you grab the al pastor, carne asada, and the lengua. So delicious and flavorful. It doesn’t matter if you get it as a taco or burrito or a tasty sope. Just try it out! Make sure you get the onions and cilantro and the salsa verde! It is finger licking good! Of course wash it down with a nice large iced horchata :-) Everything here is reasonably priced and don’t worry if you feel unsafe, which you shouldn’t, there’s a security guard here lol
