This place is really good and I’ve been to a bunch of shabu places. They have a great deal on all you can eat shabu from mon-thurs, not sure on the times but i’m sure it’s till they close. The meat quality is really good and the vegetables are really fresh. The service is outstanding and you’ll love the sauces! The price for AYCE shabu for kobe beef is $ 41.00 and just one plate would be $ 35.00 so the all you can eat would be a no brainer

3.5 stars if I could I’m obsessed with hotpot so obviously I had to come try it when my family friend mentioned how good this place was. We made a reservation for 7:15pm for 5 people on a Tuesday night but I didn’t know they offered 20% off if you got seated BEFORE7(which I didn’t find out until the end of the meal sigh). We got seated right away since there were probably only 2 tables eating inside. We ordered the AYCE pork and beef and the waitress brought out everything including two large plates of veggies that had udon and tofu on it as well. The presentation of everything was beautiful and the sauces they served you were the usual ponzu and sesame but they also offered soy sauce, garlic, chili oil, etc on the side. The reason I give this place 3.5 is because maybe I’m just biased to soup but I’ve always liked to cook my shabu shabu meat in soup(such as jazzcat or Lu Gi) and even though I know it’s not authentic Japanese shabu that way, it tastes better but I mean that’s just personal preference. So the water base was just whatevers for me, but another thing was their meat quality was just average. It was really thinly sliced(which is ok) but the meat was just TOO lean. Maybe some people like that but I prefer having a little bit of fat or marble in my meat. Imagine a well done steak but sliced up real thin and that’s what you’ll get from this place. Overall the thing that saved this place was their customer service was on point and did I mention they have UNLIMITED ice cream as well? The black sesame is bombbbb! Also they have some kind of other dessert(forgot the name but it has red bean, jelly and fruits) so be sure to ask for it! Tips: — Come before 7 on Tuesday/Wednesday for 20%(alcohol included) — There’s parking garage right under that plaza so get validation from them — Get as much ice cream as you can(black sesame, green tea, red bean, mango, lychee)

Most people who want hot-pot/shabu should know the difference before going, as this shabu place basically starts you off with a boiling pot of water. However, once you add beef, pork and vegetables, you end with with a rich, albeit unsalted broth. I definitely recommend mixing extra chili oil and green onion into the sesame sauce for maximum flavor. The sauce mixture tastes especially amazing with freshly boiled strips of beef. I will definitely plan on coming back on one of their«special days» to try their Kobe AYCE. For my second time here, the experience was pretty much the standard AYCE experience, but I was a bit displeased with the staff being initially rude, although they began to soften as the evening continued. Also, be sure to ask for extra ice cream flavors for dessert(also AYCE)!

Not quite sure what the raves are for, although to be fair, shabu shabu and hot pot meat is usually kind of bland. The meat quality is just ok, there was a slightly weird taste to the beef. They appear to pre-slice the beef and leave it on the counter in trays(either that or someone ordered a huge amount of meat). It’s efficient but seems wrong to leave raw meat sitting out like that. I didnt really like any of the sauces they provided either. The seafood was on skewers which was convenient for cooking in the hot pot. Service was very abrupt and almost impossible to get anyone’s attention from where we were sitting. The woman serving us would usually plop stuff down and walk away instead of asking us if we needed anything, like water. The mango ice cream at the end tasted weird, like cantaloupe or something.

Finally remember to update my review from last time. We(my sister and I) been back numerous times back of the food. The service were a lot better than before haven’t fail us once since the first time. This place hand down have the best meat in town we been to other places but can’t forget this place. I guess it have to do with their sesame dipping sauce as well. Also they have the best but the best green tea ice cream

For $ 32 you can get AYCE quality tender beef for shabu shabu. We had the pork and the beef. I prefer the beef because the pork we had was pretty fatty. The prices differ if you want better quality beef and seafood. The 2 dipping sauce was very tasty which is what made it so good. It comes with a plate of veggies and noodles. They end it with dessert which is also included in the AYCE price. IMO, It’s well worth it in comparison to KBBQAYCE. Shabu is a healthier version of indulging yourself in a meat fest. You can also choose to not do AYCE which comes with 1 plate of meat and only about $ 5 cheaper.

When I first heard about this AYCE shabu place, I knew I had to give it a try. This place is located in the Weller Court and parking can be found at the entrance on 2nd street. They validate for 2 hours. They do take reservations but I don’t think it’s completely necessary since the restaurant wasn’t really crowded when I went for a weekday dinner. It’s neat how they have private booths for your party to sit in. The service is spotty. Even though the restaurant wasn’t really filled, it took a while for us to receive what we asked for. We had to ask multiple times for certain things… seems like the waiters just don’t register what you ask for in their heads. It’s pretty simple though as everything is already pre-cut and all they have to do is put it on a plate for you. The cheapest AYCE selection is $ 32, which is just the standard beef and pork. It’s nice how you have a choice between the two. The slices are cut razor-thin so don’t expect thick cuts. It’s meant for you to just dip the meat in the boiling water a couple times so don’t make the mistake of «overcooking» the meat. You can definitely tell a difference… Super tender and soft when cooked properly. The meat was decent quality and they provide 2 different sauces for you(ponzu and goma). You have to ask for radish/garlic/soy sauce if you want to fix up your ponzu sauce though. As a party of 3, we easily ran through 7 plates of meat. In addition to the meat, they give you unlimited veggies, miso soup and ice cream too. The miso soup was really salty so beware… At the end of the day, Kushi is a decent AYCE Shabu place if you’re willing to spend the money. Everything was decent. Nothing leaped out at me as it being the best shabu I ever had.

Came here many times, and the quality of meat is still as good as usual. Most of the meat is paper thin, just need to dip in the hotpot for 5 seconds and it’s ready to eat. Plain broth but it’s enough to Japanese shabu shabu. The veggies are all you can eat along with the meat if you order all you can eat. As the price is decent and the quality of meat is good too, it makes most of the people keep coming back whenever you are craving for shabu. You don’t have to wait for a long time like the other one. At the end you can choose from 5 flavors ice cream too. They have tatami can serve up to 10 people in a private room

I don’t understand why is this place still exist. i went to this place 10 years ago. during that time, The restaurant was doing all you can eat dinner menu, we paid $ 40 for very good quality beef all you can eat dinner, they serve us very good quality beef in the first round, when we order our second round, they star serve us poor quality beef. after 10 years, I saw they have very good reviews on Unilocal,I decided to give them a second chance to try, they’re serving beef in a very thin cut, even though you saw a whole plate of beef, there are not a lot of beef in the serving,The worst part is thin beef lost its texture after cooking, this makes me believe this restaurant is trying to fool those people not authentic hot pot eater. please try that restaurant called«shabu shabu house«across the street.

Gotta say is one(if not the best) of the best shabu I have ever tasted! The place is clean and the staff are very nice and the service is great! The only thing is that when you first order the meat, it’s REALLY good and fresh! But after couple of rounds, the meat is not as good as the first order(or second order). But overall, for an ayce place, this will be my first choice. BTW, it’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it!!!

This place had amazing service and good quality protein. Order: We were a group of 8 and did the AYCE pork and premium beef. Service: We had two pots going and with 7 boys in the group, the plates of meat kept going quick. As soon as it was done the server was there to grab the plate. They also quickly brought over drinks and extra veggies upon request. Price: With a few appetizers and drinks all around it ended up being about $ 60/pp. Parking: There is parking in the building that they are able to validate.

I’ve never ventured to try this place purely because of the price, but my friend planned a lovely dinner date so it was the perfect opportunity. Ironically I suggested against Shabu Shabu House in the village plaza because it was just hot water + meat + dips… but I forget… that’s just what Shabu Shabu is. We went on a Tuesday and paid for Spacial Beef Shabu Shabu One Plate(33) — Kobe beef. Man if only we were there on Monday the price drops down to 26.40. My lady friend thought the beef was great quality! But for me I didn’t really see too much of a difference. The portion was perfect — AYCE for 48 is unnecessary The veggies were simple, but not special. Wish there were more mushrooms and other lettuces. It was pretty minimal. The noodles were bad. The lychee ice cream was yummy and not too sweet. I hope this place continues to do well since it seems like an established family business that’s been here for years. But it’s still too expensive for what you get. Even in SF we found a place that was much better for $ 22(better veggies, flavorful broth, larger portions)!

Yum! AYCE shabu shabu! I’ve only been for their Tuesdays and Wednesdays early bird specials — 20% off everything before 7pm. Gotta save every dollar that you can! :D You get two choices of meat — beef or pork. We get both and just keep them coming. There’s also veggies — napa cabbage, dandelion greens, enoki and shitake mushrooms and noodles. You can get the full sampling of veggies each time or pick and choose what you want. You can also get miso soup and a bowl of rice! I don’t eat the rice(fills you up!) but I use it to put all my cooked meats and veggies on :) They also give you ponzu sauce and sesame sauce. At the end, there’s dessert! There’s black sesame, green tea, red bean, mango and lychee ice cream. There’s also this almond jello thing with fruit and red bean. Beer and alcohol are also 20% off! We usually eat for about 3 hours, and the service is excellent! They clear away plates really quickly and are always checking on us. The restaurant itself is never really crowded anyways so that’s nice. Parking is validated for the garage downstairs, but street parking is also available.

Excellent. We ordered all you can eat kobe shabu for $ 39. Monday night special. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Kobe beef was outstanding, homemade cashew sauce was unique, different, and very delicious. Its located inside Weller court, parking is validated for 2hrs.

We had Monday Special, Kobe-style Beef Shabu All You Can Eat tonight. Beef is of course in good quality, veggie, tofu and noodle are also fresh and tasty. We especially love their decent Japanese-style service, very nice and thoughtful, but not very«bothering»(if you know what I mean…:p). In addition, they offer parking validation! What you can ask for more for a good restaurant! :)

I LOVE shabu and have been to almost every shabu place in LA/OC. There’s not much that can go wrong with shabu and I usually like every place I’ve tried. A few friends really like this joint so I thought I’d like it too but it was such a disappointment. My gf and I came here on a Monday night. It was super slow so you’d think they’d be on-point with their service. Nope! They forgot our edamame order. We reminded them twice and they still forgot. They were impossible to flag down even though there was no one in the restaurant! Minus one point for service. They also lost another point in quality and cost. I got the seafood combo which came with 6 skewers and a california roll. I requested the skewers to just be shrimp and salmon but they brought me once piece of salmon, two sardine looking things, two shrimp and a mochi type skewer. I tried one sardine thing and it was not good. They were filled with tiny bones and just looked unappetizing to begin with. It was almost like skewering a dead goldfish. The shrimp skewers were ok but tasted a little on the fishier side. For sauce, they gave me a plate of miso and ponzu. I asked for goma and they were going to charge extra for it. I’d rather them ask me first or just take back the miso and give me the sauce I expect with my shabu. The California roll was the best part of my meal even though it was 50% rice, 50% filling. My gf got the top grade marbled style kobe beef which I tried and wasn’t blown away by. It sounds so fancy but it doesn’t live up to it’s name. There are so many other places with the same quality meat for a lot cheaper. We only ordered one green tea, no alcohol and somehow, our bill ended up being 100 bucks! We should’ve looked at the bill more thoroughly but were in such a rush to get out of there. I will definitely never go back.

I’ve been here a handful of times for their AYCE shabu usually when I meet up with my guy friends whom have the same appetite as me. We usually order the beef and pork. We love chit chatting and eating all night. — Parking on the street/parking structure — Great customer service — Not many customers so you get your food right away — Walking distance to other places in little Tokyo

AYCE Shabu Shabu??? There are tons in Japan, but my first in the U.S. We went here by default as the Little Tokyo center mall area was closed, and then the other famous spot(Kagaya) was fully booked. We were famished by the time we got here. The basic one was a great deal, since you can get both pork and beef as part of your AYCE. Shockingly, I loved the pork more than the beef, as it was more tender. The rice was a bit weird, and the peanut sauce was a meh, but I definitely loved the meat, and you can’t beat AYCE if you’re starving. The service was a 5 star, with the waiters keeping our glasses full of water, meat coming non-stop. I even saw him literally jogging to get our food out ASAP. I was impressed despite it being dinner time on a Friday night. The meat quality isn’t the best, but, I think it’s worth it if you’re starving and want to stuff your face with shabu shabu. For $ 26 a person, including legit green tea ice cream for dessert(which is also AYCE, and wasn’t the fake kind that is just green and has weird flavor) this place is worth the money.

GF treated me to dinner here for my bday she always knows how to make me happy 6 plates of the beef shabu(this was pretty much all me…) with multiple refills of the veggies (she practically ate a head of cabbage and a pound of mushrooms herself) and pickles (both of us) and they give you a bottle of champagne if your bday is within 10 days of visiting ok, so it’s definitely not the best quality champagne but it’s the thought that counts all that for $ 20something dollars? what a steal and on top of that, the service was great i’m a fan for life
