Locksmith in Los Feliz

Beware. It sends you to a nice call center that quotes you around 40 bucks. Then they call a random locksmith who shows up quickly. 25 minutes for me. But then mid pick they quoted me 175. I was desperate and let them pick it. Two days later the lock was broken because of the pick and no one would clam responsibility. Even with a square space receipt from the guy who came, they STILL just rerouted me to another random guy who quoted me 120 to fix it. This article talks all about this scam and how it got through google maps.

This company is not forthcoming about their pricing policies. I understand that the cost of a job will depend on the amount of work involved, but to start work and THEN tell me it’s going to $ 155 is inexcusable. A cost estimate should be given upon inspection of the job. Also, if you charge higher prices when it’s late in the evening, TELL THE CUSTOMER WHEN THEY CALL ORIGINALLY. And definitely don’t berate the customer for not understanding your pricing and being reasonably upset at the high cost of a job.
The technician was very nice and did his best to help me. His supervisor, however, was the absolute RUDEST person I’ve ever encountered in customer service. He refused to listen to my side of the situation, was very overbearing, and basically told me I had to pay what he said, even though I was never quoted a price for labor AND my building manager did most of the work to get the door open. The manager was slightly better to deal with, but I will never EVER call this place again. I’d rather stay locked out than ever speak to that supervisor again.

Love this place. He re-​sets key locks for only 10 bucks and you can pick up all kinds of goodies cheap — spare keys, master locks (on sale for $ 5 bucks!), etc.

They quoted me «$ 29 plus labor» on the phone. The labor was $ 190. I pretty much got screwed. But they did come in 30 minutes on a Sunday evening and they got me back into my apartment. If I’d been thinking I would have gone on Craigslist and tried to find an individual to do it for half that or less.

Called and was rushed on off the phone. I needed to get duplicate keys made and they only offer mobile services and had no clue when I asked them if they knew of a place close to their location where I could get keys made. In my opinion, you are in the same industry, you should know these things to help those that are in need!
