Luma House Videography

My Husband Mike and I waited until the last second to find a videographer for our September 2015 wedding in Topanga Canyon. Our wedding budget didn’t really allow for any other expenses… but we didn’t want to regret not recording at least the highlights of our special day. My husband started researching and calling/​emailing around town but everyone was booked. I was settling in to the idea that my Mom’s hand held camcorder skills, and our still photographer’s pictures were going to be our only options for capturing our wedding memories. Then it happened! A videographer my Hubby found on Unilocal was fully booked, but highly recommended Paul and Adam from Luma House.
Of course, nothing went as expected on our wedding day… but The Luma House Team were able to pull enough inspiration to create THE MOST BEAUTIFUL footage. Mike and I were so blown away and so moved by the footage… Luma House captured all the magical moments we remembered and several wonderful moments that we were too preoccupied to notice (they also added audio of our vows and used a combination of our live ceremony music and music of their own choice).
The entire team was respectful, professional and very easy going… Especially considering the limited space, the extreme heat, and the short amount of time they had to prepare. BTW… you should ask them to see sizzle reel examples… The photos on their Unilocal page do not do them justice… Luma House is truly Luminous! Without a doubt, if we have an opportunity to work with them again we will!!!

When my now-​husband and I started planning our wedding last year, getting a videographer was on the bottom of our priority list. Quite honestly, we were more concerned about everything else. It wasn’t until a few weeks before our wedding when we decided we want a videographer to capture all the little details of our day. After all, we DID spend over a year planning a single day… that warrants documentation!
Boy, were we glad Paul from Luma House was referred to us! Because it was such short notice, we didn’t think we would find a videographer and quickly lost hope. However, through a couple of phone calls and what I believe to be fate, we were given Paul’s number from another videographer.
From the moment we spoke with him on the phone and meeting him on the day of our wedding, he has been so polite, easy going, and captured moments that we didn’t even know happened. Although he is quite a tall guy, he was so stealthy. For most of the night, I didn’t even see him or realize he was even there. But as evidenced by the raw footage, he was there for everything. And I mean everything.
Paul gave us ALL of our raw footage (about 10 hours) plus a 7 minute highlight video (which was only supposed to be about 5 minutes long). I was so impressed and beyond satisfied with it! He incorporated our song choices in the highlight video beautifully. He was also very easy to contact and replies to emails quickly. Did I also mention he’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met?
I highly recommend Luma House for any wedding and/​or event that needs capturing. They are just starting out so prices are affordable. For what they give you, I am still beyond grateful that I found them. High quality footage and sound, and a genuinely nice guy. I support growing businesses. Especially ones that deserve to expand.
