Ordered seared tuna; arrived very tough and stringy. Requested it be cooked more and that became a difficult request. I just left with order paid for. Not pleased with poor service and won’t return.

If you want to try this place, come on a Taco Tuesday! Then you can make your own comment. I want to reserve my full comment. It’s not bad, and it’s not specially great. Beware of their #tacotuesdays ! Not all tacos are really $ 2.00.

I come here only on taco Tuesdays menu. $ 2 crispy cod tacos and chicken skewers are my go-to. Service is friendly and food has maintained its flavor and quality. Plenty of comfortable seating available. And their top 40s playlist is always on point.

Malibu Fish Grill is probably the ONLY restaurant in this world I would order chicken over the beef or salmon. The beef is sort of mediocre, and the salmon is very average. However, any chicken dish here is out of this world! The chicken is seasoned well, and is amazingly not dry. Give it a shot and try the chicken taco, chicken wrap or my personal favorite, the kale and quinoa salad with chicken — — this will likely be the one of the best fast casual chicken salad out there. My suggestion for the salad, if you try this, is to swap the original dressing(i think some kind of butter…) with the house dressing. Other noteworthy items include the beef brisket taco, which is shredded and very juicy and the sweet potato fries or french fries, which are unsurprisingly delicious because you can’t screw up fries. Give this place a shot, because you can bet that i’ll be ordering this at least once a week for the foreseeable future.

Love this place. Visiting my kids in LA and went here 2 x at lunch. Food seems really fresh and the staff is really friendly. Great fresh salsa and all the lemon slices you could ever want.

Came in for a late late afternoon lunch. The salmon rice bowl is good. All Counter help is pleasant. Food is what it is. Fast food but healthier. I was referred by a local retailer and it’s good. Fresh not dry salmon. Avocado was ripe. All good

Literally the only day this place is busy is on Taco Tuesday where all their tacos and skewers and crab cakes are $ 2-$ 3 each. We tried the steak, chicken, cod, mahi mahi, and the brisket tacos and all were good but we decided that the steak and the mahi mahi were probably the best. Also, if you’re a fan of clam chowder, try theirs because it’s fantastic. Lastly, service was not the best. The staff was honestly pretty rude anytime we had a question or request.

Delicious fish and chips. Very fast service. The prices are okay too. If you’re passing by give them a try. Just make sure to look for street parking, the parking in the shopping center is not good

You can get fish tacos and chicken. Food is ok. Place is in terrible plaza. I will think if I go to this place again.

Ok, this place is just so tasty and quick! I wish the lobster rolls were still in season, but hey, I’ll take as fresh as I can get and wait! I’ve routinely enjoyed the fried catfish, and coming from the South their’s is good! The eat in dining experience is great — silverware and appropriate ceramic ware. Very nice for a «fast food» restaurant, so sit down and enjoy your meal! Go

I love the food here so I won’t lower the stars but after today I am a bit frustrated. I called in an order and while I came in for the two minutes to pay for my food one of the workers rudely told me my small *service dog had to wait outside even though it has never been an issue every week I’ve been going in for the past two months now. After I told her I just need to pay for my food then leave the other worker decided to try to scold me as I was walking out. Now Im not trying to be one of those annoying people who get upset about dog rules, but with the fact that I’m in there constantly with my needed dog without ever being told, and that even upscale places like Nobu Malibu honors service dogs, their attitude seemed extremely unwarranted. Leaving me already upset but still excited for my food, I got home and realized that my order was half complete, so thank you ladies, happy Friday.

I’ve had much better. I ordered the salmon and catfish with garlic sauce to go. Barely any sauce on them when I got home and veggies were a bit dry and little flavor. Fish was cooked perfect, but they also did not have much flavor. I didn’t feel like it was worth the price. Parking is horrible. There’s a private lot that is shared with a few other restaurants and businesses. Cars were stacked in non-parking spots because there are no other options. Neighborhood parking available before 6 or 7PM, otherwise permit is required.

I really enjoyed going there forva Taco Tuesday. The shrimp tacos are fresh made and are well priced, but what’s really good there is the clam chowder. The steak Salad is also very well prepared. They’re a member of American and United dinning programs so I got my miles while dinning in. Looking forward to going back there.

Came here for lunch during their Taco Tuesday with coworkers. It was Taco Tuesday so I ordered the Krab Cake, Steak Taco, and Shrimp Taco. Krab Cake was nice and crispy but not packed with crab. I did not like the Steak Taco. It was dry. The Shrimp Taco was delicious except for the fact that my shrimp still had its shell on. I mean in a way that’s good since it’s fresh but I sure as heck don’t want to eat it! However if I’m ever coming back to this plaza again, I would opt for California Chicken Café

I had a couple of their cod fish tacos and what I really liked was that the tortilla was super thin so the flavor and the cod really stood out. The condiments bar was kind of lousy and the pico de gallo was looking a little old. The good thing is that they deliver because coming here is like pulling teeth due to the small parking lot. It doesn’t help that it’s located next to California Chicken Café. Next time I have a craving for Fish n chips then I’ll be sure to get it delivered.

Moment of honesty: I was originally going to eat at the California Chicken Café. But the line was ridiculously long. And I was hangry. Not hungry… hAngry. My boyfriend must have seen the steam rising, because he was quick to add how he had eaten here before and that the food was pretty good too. I wanted chicken, but when the monster within demands food, you must concede. I was pleasantly surprised~! The food is clean, tastes fresh, and I’ve been back here multiple times without a single disappointing meal yet. The wraps are delicious, and I appreciate that while they specialize in fish, their steak is quite tender and yummy as well. I definitely recommend their fries and hummus as sides if you’re up for it. They warm and toast the pita bread just right… I think I hear the monster within growling a bit right now…

So glad they have a location in this part of town! I eat at the Redondo Beach location because they serve really fresh and healthy dishes. I particularly love getting the Kale and Quinoa salad with grilled chicken. I ordered this today and I have to say it was even better than I’ve had before. The kale was blanched and so the kale wasn’t the hard and spikey bugger it usually is raw. The chicken breast was so tender and flaky, unprocessed and seasoned nicely. The ambiance is very comfortable and done in a modern motif. They have an appetizer happy hour from 3 – 6 where appetizers are 50% off. They don’t serve alcohol at this location as others do and being open for 3 years already, they probably aren’t planning to. That’s alright cause the good food is the important thing. Service is friendly and attentive. Malibu Fish is one of my go-to places for salads. I approve ;)

Lots of healthy options and combinations to choose from. Easy for vegetarians and pescatarians to find something to eat. Try the kale and quinoa salad with Cajun grilled salmon for a low carb, protein packed lunch.

I decided to eat here with the Homie because: A. we were starvin’ !!! B. it’s close by the house C. I wanted to give California Chicken Café a break for a lil while. Malibu Fish Grill is right next to CCC and I’ve always wanted to go in and at least see what they got cookin’. Walked in and the layout is pretty splendid. Large open space with stool and booth seating. Very welcoming and insanely clean(maybe that has to do with the lack of foot traffic in this place, it was EMPTY). I don’t usually mind when certain spots have low crowd numbers but in some cases that can mean something else. I mean it was a Saturday afternoon, which usually has an abundance of people dining in spots left and right. I mean it’s the WEEKEND! You should have more than 3 people dining, like forreal. Anyway… Staff was on point. Polite and explained certain entrees I had questions about without any ‘huff & puff’. That I like. The food on the other hand… not so much. I rolled with the Grilled Tilapia and veggies(figured I’d try something new & it’s a fish place so HELLO had to try the fish). My meal. In one word. Bland. Like, I was having a conversation with the homie while eating, stopped and realized my taste buds weren’t even acknowledging the food being consumed. I looked up and asked the Homie, «Yo homie, what’s your plate like?» He went with the grilled chicken wrap and had the same sentiments as I did. I mean, of course we finished the meal, because like I said in the beginning we were starvin’ ! But the food kinda felt like a flashback to when I was a kid and my mom made a meal I wasn’t necessarily thrilled about, but had to eat it anyway. Yeah, that’s what this dining experience was like. Was not too thrilled at all. I guess I was more disappointed than anything. My roommate ate here and said it was pretty good and fellow Unilocalers of mine had some decent reviews… but errrr ahhhhh, not so much for the homie and I. After consumption we left. With no second thoughts of returning. Mali-booooooo Fish Grill, Ima need ya’ll to get a more flavorful Chef or bounce up out and make room for a place worth competing with California Chicken Café. ‘Cause right now — you ain’t cuttin’ it. Hey, it be like that sometimes.
