Was very happy with the service from Vanessa. Food was delicious and nice selection, even for our kiddos. We came around 12:30pm on a Saturday and were surprised that the wait for a table was only 10 – 15 min. That was somewhat deceptive when it came to our wait for the food though. It took almost 15 min to place our order, then it took over 30min to get our food. That did not bode well for our little ones, so not the best experience with the food wait.

I loved this place! I sat on their outside patio and was able to enjoy the football game through the window. The waiters were accommodating, attentive and friendly. I normally never order drinks for lunch, but someone had posted an image of a berry mojito on Unilocal and I needed to try it. It was delicious but it was the same price as my entrée $ 11, what? After much debate I finally decided what I wanted, the salmon asparagus pasta; make sure to get the salmon grilled on top; it was amazing, like Cheesecake factory quality. If your a carb lover they give out bread too, don’t forget to ask them to validate your parking! Would go back and eat here again.

Very disappointed with the service. Average food quality. The experience was nothing more than what you would expect at a middle America chain restaurant, except I would rather dive head first into unlimited breadsticks at Olive Garden over eating at Marmalade Café again. Next time, if I choose to eat at a restaurant of similar calibre at the Grove, it’ll be the Cheesecake Factory!

Marmalade Café was such a good selection for Sunday Brunchday! I ordered the Pineapple Upside-Down Pancake, which is baked to order and takes about 15 minutes to come out, but is worth every minute of waiting. Yum, yum, yum… I devoured every bite and washed it down with my delicious peach mimosa. Also our server, Vanessa, was very nice, helpful, knowledgeable about the menu and extremely attentive! I’ll definitely be back soon

Soooo. I’ve heard of this place and have been wanting to try it for a while now. I finally got hr Chance during a staff meeting. If you’ve ever been to the Grove then u know traffic and parking sucks. And there’s a few spots to choose from to eat. We had a meeting here from work. The staff was excellent, the food was mediocre. We had a set menu. I ordered the soy poached chicken salad, it was good, not great. It came with poached chicken, lettuce, wonton strips, green onion and I can’t remember The rest. That was the«healthiest» to choose from in our fixed menu. Other coworkers around me ordered the hamburger with fries, looked scrumptious but I heard it was dry. And the salmon pasta in cream sauce, heard that was good but small portion. Not sure if the food is different if you go in without a big group. Anyways, like I said the staff was great, they were on the ball. And we had tiramisu for dessert which was super good. Not sure if I’d come back, maybe if my date paid. Lol

Had Sunday brunch today and even though the food was very good, the service was really slow. We waited 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken, and another 10 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered the eggs Benedict, which was cooked very nicely, but took awhile to come. Our server only refilled our drinks once, and that was at the end of our meal. Maybe another location would have better service.

Sadly they say free WiFi but it rarely pops up as available and when it does it’s so bad it’s worthless. The menu has relatively wide choices but only one Vegan choice that I could see. The Vegan soup I did get was good but not great. Reasonable on price compared to other locations with Farmers Market.

Came here for«breakfast» but it was basically brunch time hahah! The server was still kind enough to let us order from the breakfast menu. I had this salmon kale hash, which I think is seasonal? My friend got this standard breakfast plate that included pancakes, eggs, and the rest I don’t remember. The food was overall okay but not memorable. Service was great though! Next time I’ll probably come here to try the dinner menu.

Marmalade Café probably has the best breakfast/selection for the Farmers Market. Our server Vanessa was very prompt and courteous. Food arrived hot and on-time. Marmalade Café has a very good selection of Californian type cuisine. Pros: Great servers like Vanessa, good quality food. Cons: Plates are too large and somewhat pricey, I wish they had smaller dishes under 10 dollars, but with the rent they are paying at Farmers market even the greasy spoon inside the Farmers is about $ 9.97 for 2 eggs, has browns and toast so I’d rather go to Marmalade.

I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time. I finally had the opportunity when a friend visited from Sacramento. This was a Friday night. We were seated right after walking in. I had a strawberry lemonade, while my friend had an alcoholic beverage. Bread was brought to our table, with some butter. Not sure how great the bread actually was since I may have smothered butter all over each bite. I had the Chicken Marsala plate, which was very tasty. Not a giant serving either. I had 3 drink refills, but never went empty as the waiter kept a good eye out for it. The service was fast. Our orders arrived not long after the waiter stopped by to take them. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoor since it was in the evening and cold outside. Definitely worth trying out the outdoor seating when the weather permits. Give this place a try.

Great all around American menu! Go for patio seating for people watching under the heat lamps! They validate parking for the market, not the grove! Spicy Ahi Tuna Tartare — loaded with avocado! fresh Pesto Steamed Mussels & Clams — sauce is a bit on the sour side, mix of mussels and clams! Lobster and Shrimp Linguine — tasty lobster pieces with decently sized shrimp! Beef Pot Roast — really good and filling! pearl onions, tasty, melts in your mouth

Had a nice light lunch with my mom and girlfriend. We had the soup and salad combo a white bean salad and kale soup with pumpkin seeds. Light and refreshing on a day where we were running around. Thea our server was hardworking and industrious. The rolls were warm and she was quite attentive and kind. We’ve been here before and it’s one of the best marmalades in the area.

Came in today on a Monday and this place was busy. Good thing I called in to make a reservation. Ordered brunch with a mimosa and a berry rhubarb for dessert. Breakfast was yummy! The mimosas were great! The rhubarb okay for me. I thought the crust would be more of a crunch. My mother ordered a lime mango pie and that was great! Thea was our server and she was great! I will for sure come back again.

I’ve come here a few times with friends, and while I’ve had great experiences at Marmalade, I’ve have yet to be pleased or impressed with the food. Most recently, I had the curry chicken salad with a cup of white bean and kale soup. My friend and I also shared sweet potato fries. While the fries and the soup were both good, the salad could’ve been better, because the chicken was tough and chewy. Overall, the salad was okay but I wouldn’t say it was particularly tasty. Despite my lackluster food experiences at Marmalade, I do enjoy the atmosphere and the quick service! The restaurant has a warm and casual vibe, and the employees are very friendly. Overall, while Marmalade isn’t usually my first choice, it is a good option for a quick meal with friends or family at the Grove.

Typically I like to visit a restaurant at least twice before reviewing, but my friend and I basically hung out here long enough to count for two visits! Haha. We walked all over the grove and went in a ton of stores without buying a whole lot. So we were hungry and definitely thirsty XD We both got a glass of wine and split the artichoke appetizer. Also, I’m a needy dairy-free customer and they were completely accommodating. We closed out our tab and the bartender topped off our glasses with the almost empty wine bottle. When it turned out we had way more catching up to do, we asked to start another tab and he just laughed at us. I like how he still checked in on us and brought waters even after it was apparent we were just there to drink and talk(as opposed to buying more actual food). We had a great experience here. I’d totally go again

I felt like Lord of the Flies :( THEAMBIANCE: I met my gf for breakfast today during an overcast morning. I was a little cold and didn’t have a sweater. The hostess said it was really cold inside so I opted for the patio. I was seated in the patio at the table to the left of the hostess, if you are facing her. It started to get sunny and the sun was strong so we moved to the table to the back, left corner. Bad idea! We could swear something had died around us because there were so many flies. We had to constantly swat them off of our dishes. It was awful. We put up with it because we were almost done eating but I recommend staying away from this table! The umbrellas move so we should have stayed where we were. THEFOOD: I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict and it came with either fruit or potatoes. The fruit is a medley of watermelon, pineapple, and berries. I don’t order the side of fruit if it’s mixed with pineapple because I’ve noticed that pineapple changes the flavor of all the fruit and gives it a weird acidity so I went with the potatoes. The plate is just ok. It’s missing a bit of flavor. I wouldn’t order it again. THETIPS: Park on the Farmers Market side so you get two(2) hours free parking with validation from Marmalade. I have to give Marmalade two(2) stars based on this experience.

Cute atmosphere, solid food, semi-big portions, amazing service. I came here after 3 days of photoshoots with my team because they love it here, and was at first a bit hesitant based on the prices whether this would be worth it. I was pleasantly surprised! SERVICE: One of the stylists and I both made a decent number of healthy modifications to our food(e.g., she made her veggie burger bunless, without aioli mayo, and subbed fries for a salad) and the platters both came out 100% correct and were served with a smile. The waiter even split our bill without us asking him to when he saw us trying to do it manually with a pen. I definitely ended up tipping over 20% because of that. FOOD: Both my colleagues got veggie burgers because they love that here, and that actually looked very good from afar for a meateater like me. It had half an avocado sliced on top and didn’t look mushy like most veggie burger do. I can attest that the French fries I «borrowed» were awesome. They also have sweet potato fries on the menu for the fashion girls of LA. ;) I got the chopped Italian salad(the Seafood Louis and the Surf and Turf both looked amazing, but I am trying to be frugal… TRYING) and it looked and tasted amazinggggg. They didn’t skimp on the salad toppings! I inhaled that salad.

Food: 3.5÷5 Service: 4⁄5 Cleanliness: 4⁄5 Price: 4⁄5 Since it was a Sunday morning, there was without a doubt a short wait which turned out to be a little longer than we expected. The entire restaurant was quite full of customers so don’t be surprised if there is a wait! My hubby and I both wanted to be seated outside, and we were very happy when we were able to! Since there was a wait, we wouldn’t have minded if we were led inside the restaurant, but lucky for us, we were given a seat in their patio! We only got two dishes — hubby got the pan seared free range chicken breast($ 16.99) and I got the jumbo lump crab cakes($ 16.99). After we ordered, we were given warm bread and butter we probably devoured since we were so hungry. Overall, hubby’s free range chicken breast had a fresh taste with all the lemon juice and herbs. The chicken was cooked very well, and the accompanying vegetables was also well textured and full of flavour. We highly recommend the dish if you’re looking for something more healthy! Crab cakes are one of my favourite foods! I can’t resist myself when I see them on the menu whenever I visit a restaurant… and Marmalade Café was no exception. With the fresh couscous salad, I had a pretty delicious meal. The crab cake was delicate and soft on the inside while crispy on the outside, and I had more than enough tartar sauce. Overall, I was happy with my meal, but for $ 16.99, I felt it was a little overpriced for two crab cakes, especially when we’re right next to the coast! When we were at The Grove, we were originally thinking of going to The Cheesecake Factory across the street, but we decided to visit Marmalade Café because The Cheesecake Factory could be visited elsewhere other than LA. Overall, I think it was a great decision and I don’t regret trying out Marmalade Café. The restaurant has multiple sister locations across California so do check their website out for more info! We would recommend the café for brunch.
