Melrose Cafe

Melrose Café is either a hit or complete miss. This time they missed the mark. I ordered a chicken panini and must say that I was dissatisfied with how the greens looked inside the sandwich. I mean I can understand a lil wilt here and there. But what I received affected my hunger and compelled me to do this review. Pictures are worth 1000 words. Read up and see attached…

Great clean place ! Large pizza only $ 6.00 and tastes great as well. Can’t beat that!

Melrose café has such an extensive menu and everything I’ve ever ordered from here is always really good! Great prices, good service.

Only tried once on a whim, but I look forward to trying it again.
Ordered the ever popular ahi tuna salad, a calzone, and a large T-​Rex pizza.
My boyfriend said he really liked the salad, but he only finished half of it and never finished the rest – yep, I ended up throwing half of that expensive salad away. So, I think maybe it was not as great as he claimed or it would not have been as fresh past 1 day.
The calzone was pretty delish. I love calzones. Always have – since my elementary school days. This one was dough-​licious and huge. The ratio of filling to dough was off, as I prefer some parity or more fillings than dough. However, not embodying a perfect calzone, I enjoyed this take on a calzone and would order again in the future.
The pizza is the main reason I cannot give a 4* rating. I could tell that the toppings were cheap, which made the whole pizza very mediocre. Naturally, most places in the food industry get the cheapest goods possible, but in no shape or form should I be able to discern such cheap quality. Unfortunately, the meat thrown on this pizza was awful. The crust was also not great. I prefer the crust at several (obvious) pizza chains. That said, I think I might try another pizza. Maybe a chicken pizza or a simple pepperoni.

The food was fantastic and the prices are even better. Really love this place. New favorite spot.

The other day I ordered the minestrone soup, a pizza, and a sandwich. All three were superb, even with being delivered. I was incredibly surprised and super happy with this. Plus, the delivery was very quick. Highly recommend. Prices are great, too.

They got my delivery order wrong, and refused to do anything about it. Maybe it’s because i left the haggling to whatever Eat24 intern handled the call, but either way that’s not how to handle a mistake.

My friend wendy showed me this place. Small and cute love how everything looks, very nice lady and the food is bomb ! I ordered the sunrise fettucine its so good, ill be back lol

I was pumped to try this place after reading everyone’s reviews so in lieu of going I placed an order online for their appetizer hot wings and their goat cheese and grilled chicken pasta. The order took about thirty minutes. The wings were not my favorite. They were kind of bland and too fatty. The pasta was overcooked to the point it just kind of stuck together. The sauce was average and the goat cheese I was not a fan of. Overall not the best first impression but I may give it one more chance.

Four star for generous portions for the price. Ordered pasta and pizza for delivery, decent food, would order again!

Awesome pizza. I’ve had the melrose and bbq chicken, both great. New York steak is high quality, cooked perfectly. Extensive menu, I still have to try the burgers, but they look great. Awesome price.

Such a good little hidden gem! The garlic mashed potatoes are incredible! Also the king salmon with its caper sauce is to die for! You can’t go wrong with their flaming chicken wings and home made ranch. I absolutely love everything about this place!

Prompt delivery during dinner rush hour, great food. Recommend the cajun pasta and chilli glazed shrimp. The combo comes in a rather small portion though. Prices are average. Will order again.

I ordered a Ahi tuna salad and a Pasta Romano along with a crab meat burger!
I ordered online so I didnt have a clue how bug the portions were so i ordered both pasta and salad and ended up unable to finish the pasta. For roughly $ 8 the salad is HUGE and filling! The pasta came with bread sticks (i think it was garlic? not too sure) but it was really really good, one of the best pastas i had in ktown.
The crab meat burger LOOKED small, yea im emphasizing looked. But when you eat it with the potato wedges like my bf did then it’ll fill you up :3
As I write this review I’m battling this big bowl of pasta with the salad in my stomach xD

The ceviche salad was delicious and fresh, bbq pizza was good too, good price + delivery, would definitely order again!

Amazing food :) I ordered the chicken portobello and it was really yummy. The sauce has enough mushrooms and the chicken was cooked very well. Really flavorful food at a really convenient price. I had already tried their food and everything tastes amazing. I ordered through here and the food came quick and it wasn’t that expensive. Will definitely recommend this place specially if you are looking for lunch while at work.

Great, delicious and large portions.
5 stars for all that since I didn’t eat actually in the «restaurant» if so — it would have probably only gotten 3 – 4 stars since the atmosphere and layout is not really pretty.
However, I went in. Ordered a Tuna steak salad.
Had to wait for a little but no problem.
The portion was big and delicious. Different greens and the Tuna slices were thin but still enough for me.
I even got some warm fresh garlic bread.
Definitely coming back for take outs!

I’ve ordered take outs from this place many times and the food has always been very good and comes in large portion. My favorite are the crab cakes appetizer which is a meal in itself. One order has two large crab cake patties topped with fresh diced mangoes and tomatoes. There is also a small side of salad. The ahi tuna salad is another good choice and again the portion is relatively big. The tuna came in large slices and tasted fresh.
Everything on their menu is reasonably priced and their delivery service is quick!

Two Words: Ahi Tuna
I go to this place specifically to get the ahi tuna salad. This is pretty much the ideal lunch salad for me. Filled with plenty of fresh greens for fiber and antioxidants and generous on their ahi tuna portions. Their portions are quite generous and I hope they don’t change this!
This place is fast, fresh and healthy. I love it!
Parking is metered and it can be quite tricky. I usually park a few blocks away and walk there. However, they do deliver.

Beware!!! Beware!!! Don’t order delivery!!! They’re scammers! They’ll make you waste your time and screw your day!!!
If i could, i’d give them minus star. They’re super close to my place, like 3 blocks, so i ordered online. After almost 20 min, I asked how long more. They said they were still making it. After 40 min, I asked if it left already and the woman had the guts to tell me the food was already ready for long, and she was waiting for her driver, who would be there within 1 hour!!!
Within 1 hour!!! =O
So that’d be almost 2 hours waiting for delivery, with the food there, waiting, getting cold!!!
