The jjam bbong is really good ! But I’m disappointed about the service specially for a girl that was very rude. She had a bad attitude :((Good food, bad service)

A few months ago they changed their jjamppong ingredients and it’s now bomb. Best jjamppong in ktown hands down. The customers kind of know this now. Before it was fairly empty now there is always a line at lunch. Why am I adding to the line by writing a good review? Their service is good too.

Horrible service, I gave my address before the ordering started and continued with my order. She explains to me there is a limit for deliver so I made the order to the limit. They end the conversation with the total amount and say it will take 30 to 35 mins. 15 mins after the conversation I had with the lady that took my order, she calls back and tells me that I have to pay extra for delivery because I am not located in Korea town! Why do they not state this earlier!!! and then afterwards when I had canceled my order the delivery guy comes, not much for the English language and tried to get me to buy the food!!! Not cool!

Well!!! this didn’t go very far… I called to place a very large order for my organization, a lady picks up the phone and speaks a few words in chinese(greeting, I assume), I say, hello, do you speak English? she says NO and hangs up the phone. Don’t know about the food but the service can’t be four seasons! :)

Terrible attitude. Barely anyone comes here. Basically the girl working there told me to leave/scolded me. You want my money, you better treat the customers better. Got sick eating here/food poison. This place is racist. Maybe that’s why the lady gave me attitidude. Go somewhere else, this place sucks. Need fiber, come here.

Visited here for the first time with my boyfriend :) I really enjoyed the spicy seafood noodle soup!!! I was surprised at how much seafood was included in the soup. Loved it! :D would definitely go again!

This hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant with Korean influence lives up to its name. There are only two dishes you need to concern yourself with when it comes to noodles at Chinese restaurants in K-town: Jam Bong(noodles with seafood in a spicy soup) and Ja Jang Myun(black bean noodles). Hands down one of best spots in K-town without the fuss. Service can be spotty at times, but you don’t go here for ambiance or service. Just bring your appetite. Nearest Metro Station: Red and Purple Lines at Wilshire/Vermont Station

The food here is great: the combo is enough for four people and averages about $ 5 per person! The service was horrible, for the most part. The male server is great and very attentive. The female server, however, has a terrible attitude, is snappy, and neglects you.

My boyfriend spotted this place while driving back to my apartment in K-town, and we decided to check it out. Jjajangmyun is my favorite Korean/Chinese dish ever, and he thought this place sounded like a potential source. He was right! There is a teeny tiny parking lot, and the interior is a lot more open and cleaner than many of the other small restaurants around here. The menu was short and simple, with some fried rices, a few shrimp dishes, a few standard Chinese dishes, and noodles. We went straight for the special jjajangmyun, which was $ 6.95 for regular, $ 7.95 for a special(topped with a sunny side up egg) and $ 8.95 for a seafood option. We also went with a small Kan Poong Chicken($ 6.99) and an order of the fried dumplings(10 for $ 4.99). They weren’t on the menu, but I saw a photo on Unilocal and pointed to it. Our server was very kind and attentive, explaining menu items to us and always bringing more water. The jjajangmyun came in 2 separate bowls, one with spaghetti noodles with the egg, and the other with the black bean sauce. It was good, but seemed like it consisted of mostly roughly chopped onions and not nearly enough sauce. The sauce was barely enough to cover the noodles, but it’s also the best part IMO. The chicken was battered and fried with a spicy/sweet sauce, and came with rice. The dumplings were fried with the perfect crisp I like. Everything came in HUGE portions. We had more than enough food and took 2 boxes home. They also do takeout, and deliver for a $ 20 minimum. We really liked this place and will be back. Not my favorite jjajangmyun(that’s The Dragon and Young King) but they still serve up huge portions of good food at low prices. Can’t wait to try the other menu items!

Two stars for mediocre the food. Zero star for service. It’s not the first time I come here. The ladies there do not know how to serve or take orders. Manager should be present more so they know how badly they work when he’s not around.

We bumped into this place while we were looking for this other place. We were in a rush because one of us had to go to work… SOFREAKINGDELICIOUS. At first we were a little intimidated because there are no pictures on the menu. And the translations of the names of the dishes are still Asian sounding. Thank Unilocal for helping out with that! The lady server was so incredibly cute and sweet. We asked her for the best thing and she for sure delivered. A spicy seafood soup that’s displayed out front and I went with the special ja ja mein(the difference between the two is the special has the sunny side fried egg on top). Before all of that she brought out some pickled vegetable that I unfamiliar with, a sauce, and raw onion. She motioned us that we should dip into said sauce accordingly. We did. It was so simple yet so scrumptious. The whole thing was such a heavenly experience. The flavors were so Korean but you still get that Chinese influence with their dumplings and lo mein noodles used in some dishes. The ja ja mein was so flavorful and so well cooked. The onion wasn’t at all soggy or gross. Also had little bits of meat in it. The seafood soup was exceptional. Our sweet lady server asked us how spicy we wanted and we’re glad she did. We went with a so-so gesture and received a perfectly spicy delicious soup full of mussels, baby octopi and other wonderful sea things. We scarfed down everything we could and still had leftovers which our server kindly packaged for us! It was superb customer service. She kept our waters full and checked on us regularly. We couldn’t stop telling her how good everything was. All in all it was a happy mistake bumping into this place and we left fully satisfied. Will definitely come back again soon!

Pros: — fastest delivery I ever experienced. They literally came within 15 minutes. — gan jajangmyeon had good flavor — jajangmyeon came with a sunny side up egg — large portions Cons: — mapo tofu was super super bland. Not spicy either :( — jajangmyeon was extremely oniony! Omg. Seems like it had like 2 whole chopped onions in there. And the onions were completely raw. There wasn’t a good balance of other ingredients… I saw maybe a couple pieces of zucchini and meat. No potatoes. Wish I got the regular jajangmyeon instead — no kimchi :(

I went to eat with my parents and was pleasantly surprised! The food was very good! They had a combo deal of black bean noodles, spicy seafood soup, and sweet and sour pork(half size) for only $ 20.95! We also ordered the chicken fried rice which was a large portion. The fried rice came with a side of spicy seafood soup as well as the black bean noodle sauce. Towards the end of our meal, they brought a side of sweet potato fried and dipped in sugar syrup. It tastes like it was caramelized– it was so sweet and addicting! Many chinese restaurants stopped serving these snacks so I was so happy to try them again! The portions are large and affordable! The service is great! Pretty spacious! Delish! Spicy seafood soup = jjambong Black bean noodles = jjajangmyun

Sweet & Sour Chicken, Rice, and Veggies for $ 6.99?! GREATDEAL. Chicken and sauce came separately, which I enjoyed because I could control how much sauce was on my chicken. Sometimes the chicken is smothered in sauce and you don’t get to enjoy the fried part of the chicken. They had really good portions — definitely coming back! UPDATE: Went a little over a month ago — rice is now charged separately and doesn’t automatically come with it. Make sure to check to-go orders, they forgot mine last time.

Popped into Noodle Holic for lunch since my mother who works in K-town insisted we meet up to eat the Seafood Champong. It’s located behind the plaza where Kobawoo is and in its own small plaza next to a laundromat and other rando restaurants. There’s some parking but it gets pretty crowded during lunch. I got the Seafood Champong and my mom just got the regular. I wanted to order some of the Jajangmyun too but my mom warned me of the large portions(always a good sign). Usually when I go to Korean fusion Chinese restaurants like these, I like to split the two types of noodles, but we passed on that this time. The pickled radish was whatevers. The real delight of course is the massive bowl of steaming and spicy Seafood Champong. It’s a bit more pricey than the regular one because it comes with shrimp, mussels, clams, crab(well just one piece), octopus and squid(some sea cucumbers which is usually my favorite). Plus it comes with heaping amounts of onions and zucchini. The broth for the seafood version was also tastier than the regular champong as well. The only negative part is the noodles-basically they use spaghetti noodles here. I have to say the part I liked best about the other Korean/Chinese noodle place I usually get my Champong(on 8th) is their handmade noodles which taste more chewier and tasty. But I can’t complain since I didn’t pay for lunch and the portion was generous. I will try the Jajangmyun next time!

Do not be fooled! This is not a single sizing restaurant. I ordered the Special Ja Jang Mein and Spicy Chicken. The Ja Jang Mein is fabulous. I wish it had tofu in it though. The Spicy Chicken was spicy as advertised. Everything is really good. I really have to emphasize again, each dish could serve 3 people easily. The lady serving me was so adorable. She had that, «OMG. There’s no way he’ll be able to finish.» As if I would even try. Mind you, I ate alone yet ordered 2 things because I love options and variety.
