The best phở gai in town– it has this nutmeg or cinnamon flavor… And their vermicelli is yummy. Thus is our go to spot for phở. And they give you free egg rolls with purchase of two entrees.

Phở 4000 is Cash Only so beware if you don’t have cash, go to the other Phở store across the street lol;. Basically, their Phở is okay for the serving that they give and the extra side dish of onions and other veggies are pratically a bit bigger then a stingy Vietnamese restaurant. Their Phở bowl’s a descent size where you feel full after your serving of bowl, yet the only problem is that Restaurant Owner isn’t really that friendly looking, but at least he is working hard every-day.

This place is really starting to slip. What was cool the last time we went there is that I asked if they did Boba there and he said the Huka Bar next door was owned by the same people so he just went next door and hooked my Thai Tea up with some Boba … very cool. However… they brought my wife the wrong drink and served the table next to us with twice as many people their food before us and we were seated before they even came in. It’s not like there has been some problem with the translation — she speaks to the staff in Vietnamese. A few different people are working there — street clothes, not street clothes? Who is working? Random people are bringing me vegetables… They have been working on the parking lot now for about a year and at the moment there IS no parking lot because its closed. Plus they have added valet parking — which is just annoying. Valet parking? Really? Why? The Phở is pretty good but the service is still Vietnamese. I still like this place but much of its potential has yet to be realized.

This is one of the better phở places in koreatown that I’ve been to. Their broth has more flavor, less msg, and the bowls are huge! I haven’t tried anything else except their phở so my stars only apply for that. They have large cafeteria style tables so it’s great for larger groups. It’s cash only, so watch out! It’s a little hard to find the entrance if you’re walking. There’s a parking lot on the side and that’s where the entrance is. If you’re walking, the entrance is not on the same side as their sign. It’s around the corner inside the parking lot on the right.

Of all the places in K-town, this one is decent, although every time I eat phở here I get the runs. Now this may sound like a backhanded compliment but I’d choose this place with that consequence in mind over all the other places up and down Western. Then again, every time I eat my mom’s home cooked phở I get the runs. And yes, free spring rolls.

Fan Phở life! I remember the first time I had Phở(fuh not foe) for the first time, I didn’t really enjoy it, particularly because of the cilantros. But after I fell in love with cilantros and found out how to really eat phở, I truly fell in love with phở. There’s been a lot of places I went to try phở, particularly in Koreatown, but this place is hands down the best. One way you can know a phở place is legit is if the owners are Vietnamese(sorry Korean owners). These guys know thier phở and are really good at producing awesome and authentic phở time after time. The vegetables they give you is always fresh and the soup/broth they make is superb(salivating just thinking about it). There’s a reason I’ve been coming here for years and still am. Must try! P.S: Cash only

3.5 stars Lately, I’ve come to the sad realization there’s a serious dearth of good Vietnamese food in LA. Must one drive to the OC to get decent phở? For the first time in my life, I decided to get one of those vermicelli dishes. Except I substituted rice for the vermicelli, defeating the whole point of it all. Their portion lasted me 3 meals(I am recovering from food poisoning people). And the sauce made it all worthwhile. Free spring rolls! BIGBONUS. Friendly service. Spacious, cool, and laid back. Will try the phở next time.

I’ll admit, the first time I came here, I hated it. It was my first week working in the Koreatown area, I was not familiar with Phở at all. Thank God I kept trying to eat it! I now have it once a week? Maybe more! The taste grew on me and now I can’t live without it! The noodles they use are the best I’ve had out of all of the places I’ve tried. I was just there today and it was as good as always!

3 stars for the area, that is. this is the first time i’ve had phở in ktown and i have mixed feelings about this place. i think i’d have to try a few others before deciding if i’d come back. the server was young and friendly. we all(3) ordered the combo phở. it was interesting that the veggie plate came with cilantro and onions, which i usually have to ask for on the side. grape! we ordered egg rolls and the server said it was on the house because they didnt have enough for a full order. reading some reviews i see its complimentary? kinda weird she didnt just tell us so lol. when the phở came, i tasted the broth and i liked how clean and delicate it tasted. salty broth is anathema to me. however. it was a little too watery. not enough collagen and/or perhaps unsympathetic spicing. the noodle quality was excellent, but we were the first customers when they had just opened up. so i’m not sure if this is a consistent quality. clean place, free parking. we’ll see if i come back

Authentic(Vietnamese-owned) phở in Ktown? Yes, that’s a little rare. Also, you get a free order of eggrolls with the purchase of 2 entrees. Suck it, Phở 2000 across the street. The broth is nice, service is quick, and they have additional meat options like oxtail. I ordered the oxtail twice, and the owner gracefully commented, «Ha ha, you got the oxtail? Usually men order that…»(nice) The oxtail was a little tough, but very flavorful and delicious. Are you confused why there is a default plate of sliced onions in the middle of the table? Usually, phở restaurants only in Ktown do this, where we like to squirt sriracha to make pseudo-kimchi — no, we refuse to get out of our hole. I recommend Phở 4000, Legends, and Phở Saigon in this area for decent phở Cash Only.

Uh… Am I eating at the same Phở 4000 as everyone else? The broth just wasn’t authentic tasting. Too sweet, wreaked and tasted too much of cinnamon. The noodles were balled up, clumped together and a little overcooked. I got beef balls in mine, can’t really mess those up. My GF got phở tai, which at usual restaurants comes out with rare steak allowing for the rest of the cooking to be done in the broth; her’s was completely cooked already. I appreciate having the cilantro and onions on the side. While I like everything in my phở, I know some people do not. Weird that there wasn’t much green onion in the soup either. As stated by previous reviewers, you do get FREE egg rolls. Cool. Anything free is usually good, right? Wrong. They lacked any kind of seasoning and the wrap tasted like a donut. I’m not counting this towards the lack of stars either. Maybe this is just a ploy to get people to come in. The prices are actually decent though. Everything is around the $ 7 mark, give or take fifty cents. The menu is definitely lacking though. This is pretty much just a phở restaurant, not a Vietnamese restaurant. Cash only, ATM in the back. True, this might be the best phở I’ve had thus far in K-Town, but best phở in K-Town isn’t saying much. That doesn’t make it good phở in general either. Is it absolutely inedible? No… if you’ve only ever eaten phở in K-Town, you’d probably okay with this place.

I haven’t had Phở in a while and was really craving some phở and decided to look on Unilocal. There’s actually quite a few places in K town, but I’m glad we came here! It’s kind of in the back of the parking lot and in towards the back of the plaza. We had to valet and I thought it was kind of strange, but I guess it’s because it’s a small lot… I have to say this is a pretty clean Phở restaurant and the bathroom spelled like… coffee beans? Haha. The waitress was really nice and they have an «A» grading! Yay! We ordered two #1-the house special phở and with two orders it comes with a free order of egg rolls. The egg rolls were ok, and the vegetable leaf it came with wasn’t crisp, but hey, it was free. They also gave us a plate of the white onions without us asking for them. They also didn’t skimp on giving us the plate of bean sprouts, cilantro, basil leaves, jalapenos, and limes. The phở is sooooo good! The bowls are pretty big and came with a lot of meat. I finished the noodles and I still had leftover meat in my soup! The noodles were cooked perfectly, not too soft and not too hard. The soup was really delicious! For two #1s and the free eggrolls, it was a little under $ 15 not including tip. You can’t beat that price for the quantity and quality! I would definitely come back whenever I have phở cravings in LA!

Jenny J.( ) and I LOVEPHO!!! When she told me that this place gives out free eggrolls. I just HAD to check it out! And we had to drag our BFs to go with us! HEHE We had: — 2 #1s HOUSESPECIAL $ 6.75

Loved it! — FREEEGGROLLS — one per person. smaller than the usual eggrolls but hey it’s free. :] Total: $ 31ish w/out tip Service: Very slow… there was only one guy working the floor and oh my. it took us forever to get our water. but he brought us a big pitcher of water so yay! They don’t use those cheap plates/bowls you see at other phở places(you kno the ones with those red designs on em) which is nice :] Parking: Oh my. it was so packed, we had to find parking outside of this little tiny mall. *This will probably be our go-to phở place now: P MmMmm… *burp*

We tried the Spring Rolls(not the Egg Rolls or the Summer Rolls) today and they were fantastic. The crispy skin was fantastic with the flavorful dipping sauce. Yum! I can eat another order of them. In addition, we tried the Chicken, BBQ Pork and Fried Rice plate. The fried rice was better than I was expecting it to be. It really doesn’t look like much but there’s something in the rice that really makes it special. The meats were a bit disappointing. The chicken skin was very crispy but the meat lacked flavor. The pork was a bit tough. Service was very quick and I had a relatively fulfilling meal.

Ehhhh. They give you free eggrolls and yet I still can’t give it more than 3 stars. The phở broth is only OK and really, that makes or breaks phở. Nothing is WRONG with this place necessarily, I just didn’t love the flavor of the broth and the consistency of the noodles was just SLIGHTLY off. But, I’ll admit that I’m being a little critical on that point. Anyways, totally fine to try but just saying… not the best.

I’m Vietnamese and have had Vietnamese all over the world including in Vietnam and I eat here 3 – 4 times a week. The owner is from Vietnam and her phở is wonderful! She even offers delicious egg rolls with two dinner entrees– a deal that can’t be beat. I’ve tried all of the dishes on the menu and am always in a constant battle over what to get because I want to eat everything when I’m here. Service can be slow because they are usually short-staffed but the prices and amazing food more than makes up for it. I also got a cool iPho Tee shirt in lavender here. They are so soft and I don’t think there are many left so you might want to check them out.

Love this place! The waitress/owner is Vietnamese, the atmosphere is very Phở-esque. Late night cravings? Come here! Recommended to me by some friends. When you have your free eggrolls try wrapping it in the lettuce leaves then dipping. ;0]

Where do you go when you’re looking for something to eat at 10pm? To be honest I got lost driving in K-Town and then was so hungry I just stopped here. This late night Vietnamese place is open late and had wonderful food. This family run place is very popular with regulars — student-types, late-shift workers and lost folks like me. I ordered a phở dish and some wonderfully hot and crispy fried pancake rolls with dipping sauce. Definitely one of the hidden places to remember.

Loved this place, so far the best phở I’ve had in Los Angeles. AND it’s open late. Boo-yah! Stopped in tonight when I had a phở craving after the gym. Random, I know, but I happened to be driving through Koreatown and there it was, glimmering like a beacon of hope. Well, not really. But there was an illuminated sign. My friend called at the very moment, five minutes away and hungry as well. It was a sign. This one more metaphoric than literal, but my point remains. First impression: Huge empty parking lot. In LA. Whoa. Happy. Went in and there was one other table with two drunk Koreans. Not shocking at 12am, though their drunkenness turned out to be epic. The waitress appeared relieved when my friend and I entered; apparently they hadn’t been as nice to her as they could have been, and being a 6’6 dude has its perks. They’re not going to act like asshats when I’m around. Anyway, my mother put me through college on her tips, I’m not gonna let someone abuse a waitress on my watch. Wow, I sound brave here. Ahhh, they were beyond hammered, I could’ve taken them. Especially the one that was passed out. I just had to push him over and let the floor do the work. But I digress. Our waitress was super friendly, and even offered us free eggrolls. I’m not sure whether she was impressed that a lanky white boy could order in Vietnamese and pronounce the names right(mad skills), whether she was using that to apologize for the Leaving-Las-Vegas drunk Koreans at the table next to us, or whether she was just relieved that we were there so she wasn’t alone with them. Either way, doesn’t matter. Free eggrolls kick ass. The soup, as I said, was outstanding. The accouterments were fresh and flavorful. The eggrolls were very good. Not the best I’ve had, but hell, they were free and hot and crispy, so mission accomplished there. The soda chanh(lemonade soda) wasn’t a homerun, but not bad either. I’ve had fizzier and sweeter. But it wasn’t bad, just so-so, and therefore didn’t cost them a star. The place was also remarkably clean, by phở place standards. Don’t judge me, you damn well know what I mean. Truth. Regular prices, super-clean, extra-friendly staff, tons of parking, open late, great soup… ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner…
