*****This is not a review of the store or its merchandise. It speaks directly to the customer service provided by the owner***** I’m not positive the man behind the counter was the owner, but I can’t imagine it was just a regular employee. We entered the store on our first family visit to LA’s Chinatown, hoping to find fun kitchy gifts. Instead we were greeted by a grumpy old man yelling at my teenage daughter to «put down the calculator.» She was handling a $ 14 wooden abacus… not a rare Ming Dynasty heirloom, worth thousands. And he barked at her… really barked at her. So we put it down and left his empty store. No surprise the store was empty.
