I’m writing this review to WARN all new patrons to AVOIDHISBARATALLCOSTS. The bruises on my arms and chest are only now fading from the power tripping bouncer PHYSICALLYPUSHING me down the ramp on June 4th. It was not only without merit, but also known as assault. I had simply asked why he was forming a capacity line, while letting in dozens of others on the side. He didn’t like my inquiry and responded with, «Because.» And then in the same breath decided it was power trip time and said, «Actually, you have to leave. You’re too drunk.» I looked at him in disbelief. Surely he’s joking.(I have worked in the service industry for more than 15 years and was just coming from a nice dinner). He then whipped into a steroid like rage and began pushing me down the ramp. A drunk me would have clocked him in the face. Instead I REPEATEDLYASKEDHIMTOTAKEHISHANDSOFME and explained I am here for my friends birthday and would just like to let them know we are going somewhere else. It was appalling behavior with the physical evidence to show for it. I’m still in shock that it really happened, but with my bruises yellowing I feel the responsibility to warn others: DONOTGOTOTHISBAR. I would fear for your safety. There are several other great places in the area with wonderfully welcoming staff. If you own this bar, I would recommend you drug test and perhaps recommend some anger management courses for him before you get sued or someone gets really hurt.

This check in is a quiet, slow tear down my cheek. Piano Bar will be closing and a hotel will soon devour it. This is what the barkeep told my friend and me. I’m sad to see it go. The music is always good here. It is a great venue in Hollywood and I know a lot of musicians are going to be upset with its closing. The music, the outside patio, the collection of drinks. It was always a quaint diamond in the rough in the bustling Cahuenga bar scene. I hope they relocate and are just as successful. I’ll cheers to that hope.

Cool little bar and everyone really sweet working there. Tons of seating inside and nice outdoor patio for smokers. Live music started at 9 and I was blown away. Probably one of the best piano players I have ever seen in my life. I attend a lot of music events and just seeing the pianist groove while playing really hard music memorized me. There was also a guy on drums that was great too. Show up a little before 9 to snag a good seat.

Best night out EVER!!! Music was awesome, staff was awesome, drinks were strong, patrons were awesome, location is awesome. Seriously. If I was a local, this would be my haunt. As it is, I want to make the trip down from the Silicon Valley just to come back again. Ugh. Love this place.

Small, simple place with live music. Very dark and kinda hidden unless you look for it. Drinks and bartender are good but there isnt much room and only a few high tables. No dancing and all kinds of dress so there is no theme or code.

Nice and cozy place to hear live music. It’s kind of get busy over the weekend lots of people try to pass you which is annoying but overall was a good experience. I really wanna try the Wednesday night event. Drinks were good and decent price. Bartenders were nice and friendly. There is some street parking right next to the bar. There is also lunch truck right in front of the bar.

The place is smaller than expected but the music is better and louder than a Bernie Sanders sold out benefit rock concert rocking against a Trump nomination. Drinks are genuinely good and bar tenders are even better. Especially when she made a random non alcoholic drink for me from MY own suggested recipe!!! She did it like a pro knowing how much of what to use and in what order! If you are reading this while Mike Hays is playing you are an idiot. Stop reading and enjoy this guy’s talent!!!

This place is always a good time. Thursday are enjoyable if you don’t a packed place like in the weekends. Also, on these less busy days, your requests are more likely to law it to the keys. The sangria is a little light, can’t really taste the alcohol, but it taste good if you are looking for a sugary drink. The sliders were really good, nice and soft bread with them. I’ve been coming here for years and I have never had a bad experience, most of the time the food is good, and the staff is friendly.

I LOVE this place! I’m devastated that they might be closing, it seems the owners have so many bars they don’t care about relocating now that condos are being built around it. The live music, the great crowd, the Sunday BBQs… you can’t find this anywhere else in Hollywood. This place is full even on «school nights». I can’t believe it’s disappearing with so many loyal fans.

In the heart of Hollywood, little venue that features nightly musicians playing all styles of music. Piano bar is quaint, comfortable, lowkey bar. Music lovers looking for a place with a laid-back atmosphere and a true dedication to music will find it at Piano Bar :-) The Piano Bar celebrates Happy Hour every day between 3 p.m. and 8 p. m Plus Great selection of liquors plus lively bartenders that make great drinks makes piano bar one of my favorite hang out in Hollywood. Must Visit

This my very favorite bar in LA. Virtually any time you come here you can expect the music to be amazing. That’s their real secret, amazingly curated music. No cover. Great atmosphere. The door guys are some of the coolest as well. Very friendly and they actually do their job. Waiting in line Saturday night several groups of ladies tried to bypass the line and walk right in. Any other door guy would probably let them. But the piano bar door guy bounced them to the bank of the line. Awesome ! And what about free barbecue Sunday’s!!! Just tip the cook. Best place for music in LA!

We’d been making history, my mates and I, that’s the only way to feel about it, otherwise forget it. And after a day like that, we needed a place like this. Full to the brim with people also making history, struggling, even just to get a drink. Did I grab a round? Maybe I went straight outside. I was in my Sunday best: brown leather shoes, dark fitted jeans and an oversized button up swede shirt. She came out to smoke, I think I had one too. We spoke with ease about Nigeria and Nintendo, why not? She’d been separated from her friends, but didn’t seem to mind. The rest is personal history. Thank you Piano Bar, for this you’ll be remembered fondly.

Wednesday night’s from 9−11pm… Be there. Your ears will be massaged with the most amazing music on the face of the planet. Jason, the piano player is a piano wizard and at times you cannot even see his hands because they’re moving so quickly over the keys. Jason is sometimes joined by wonderful vocalists, and an extremely sexy drummer(ahem)… So not only will the music be candy to your ears, but this experience will be candy to your eyes as well. Look, but don’t touch though, as candy should be savored from afar.

Dark and unassuming spot in Hollywood that isn’t so Hollywood. Came here on a Sunday around 9 pm and the vibe was busy and cool but not too crowded. The feel is very laid back with a wide array of Angelenos tossing back drinks and savoring the last minutes of their weekends. Bartenders are friendly and drinks are strong. Full bar with a few specialty cocktails. I tried the Crescendo and really enjoyed it(Gin, St. Germaine and Grapefruit). Seating is a bit limited with more tables that stools. There is a cool patio in the back that is nice on a warm night. On Sundays there is a live band, which is cool, but not if you are trying to hear your date talk. It gets REALLY loud in there as the space is small and the music is LOUD. So come for the music on Sundays, not the conversation. Cool low key spot though.

$ 6 drafts($ 4 on happy hour!), attentive friendly service, live music and dim candle lit lighting?! It’s everything I love in a bar. I also bumped into someone I knew from years ago and from across the country so magical things happen here. The door dude was cool too. It also has an outdoor patio for smokers and clean bathrooms. Win piano bar, win.

Are you looking for a bar to chill and listen to some great live bands? Then look no further than Piano Bar! While the tunes are loud and the place gets quite a crowd, the live music makes this place worth it! The line starts to build up around 10pm on Saturday nights, so get there early to avoid the wait. Located just a few blocks from the touristy section of Hollywood, you definitely do not feel as if you’ve entered a place packed with tourists. Piano Bar is dimly lit and relatively small, with one long bar alongside the right wall, a few tables and seats situated near the band area, and an outside smoking section. As mentioned above, it can get pretty crowded on popular nights. My best advice is to find an area to relax and listen to the music(because it can be heard both in and outdoors) and plan on staying and staking your spot there for the rest of the night. Get drinks from the bar in shifts with your buds unless you want to stake a new claim elsewhere. The bartenders and security are both friendly. I made the mistake of ordering a straight vodka martini(I’m usually prone to the girly ones but felt like trying something new) and just couldn’t handle all of the strong alcohol being guzzled down my throat at once. The bartender kindly fixed it by adding some cranberry without judgement and I was able to sip my drink and be on my merry way. Come for the tunes, not for chatting, because it is not possible.

Oh, this place is definitely hidden. If you didn’t know it existed, you probably would not come through. Definitely a cool find. The drink menu can be pretty limited, so you might have to stick with beer and wine. Even on that note, the drink selection is still pretty limited so don’t be trying to order the most obscure drinks you can think of, folks. Not the most expensive bar, so hip hip hooray. When we came here, we had just missed the live band, boo. So come here on the earlier side so you can witness the live music. I think we came just around midnight, so I’ll guess there’s live music from 10−11ish? Maybe till midnight? The set up is chill– there’s some tables in the front by the bar and an entire back patio area for smoking and hanging out. Darkly lit but a small bar, so you’re not bound to lose anyone. Just a cool bar that seems out of place in Hollywood. It’s a mixed crowd, but not an obnoxious one. Just the typical lot you’d expect at a bar anywhere.
