Paul we love you!!! Great pizza, and a great local business worth supporting. Cheap beer and wine too

Absolutely love this place. My go to whenever I’m hungry before heading to school. They have amazing pastas, salad and pizza. The owners are an Italian couple and are very friendly.

Maybe it was the pizza we ordered. THEAMBIANCE: We ordered pick up but I was told it was a small place. THEPIZZA: It was our first time ordering from Pizza Pauls. We ordered a pizza that apparently had a million toppings. All I could taste was the vegetables and barely any cheese. I wasn’t a fan. THETHOUGHTS: I remember it being expensive. Because it was our first time ordering, my boyfriend liked it, and this place has high ratings, I’ll give it three stars and give it another shot in the future with a different pizza.

I lived in Italy for a few years and I’ve grown accustomed to great pizza. When I moved back to the states it was hard to find a pizza pie that was truly authentic. After many years I have found two authentic pizza places and Pizza Pauls is one of them. The service was great even though I was the only one in there and the wine was superb… but what about the pizza? Let’s just say I’ll be back to my lil pizza place in the corner again soon… real soon! It was a great start to my trip to the theater across the street. Grazie mille! P. S. They don’t take coupons of any kind. The big ass sign they posted said so! ha!

This food is AMAZING. It’s rare to find pizza so good without all the annoying flair from other pizza place in LA. It’s like little Italy and the staff is so sweet and wholesome I’ll definitely be coming back :))

The best really Italian pizza of LA! Price is cheap if you compare to the quality. The owners were nice and kind. Felt like home!

The food is o.k. but made with love. Paul and Nancy are great! If you need a simple lunch or dinner come here. It’s a chill neighborhood spot. I have a fun time every time I come here.

Pizza was great. Super low key place. Staff were really friendly. The chicken parm wasn’t that good though. It wasn’t awful, just not that tasty. I still plan to come back for the pizza.

Small pizza with two toppings. Per menu, $ 8+$ 2 = 10 Asked for water and was pressured into getting a water bottle. Okay, whatever. Some no name brand of water. Went to pay the bill(was never presented a check), and was told total was $ 14.75 in what seemed like an arbitrary fashion to me. Pretty expensive no-name water, or I was taken for a ride. More importantly, pizza not good at all. Couldn’t finish it. Tasted like Celeste frozen pizza. Blech.

Some of the best pizza I’ve eaten. Traditional Italian food, they also serve spaghetti, ravioli, calzones, and sub sandwiches. There is reserved Parking in the rear off of heliotrope ave.

My favorite vegetarian calzone, ever. Great pizza, too. Beer, wine, cute little tables. Signed photo of Matt LeBlanc on the wall, America’s Funniest Home Videos on the tv. Paul and his wife are so cute and funny. Love this place! Will come back again and again.

My Favorite Pizza Place in LA! Paul is awesome and his wife is very sweet also. The pizza is very good quality, none of that sugary canned sauce and only the best meats and cheeses. Very Reasonable beer prices as well. I see some negative reviews about Paul but you’d have to be a jerk to have him treat you in any way but kindly. Respect him and his wife and you will have a great time!

Great service. I had the pesto ravioli and the presto was made fresh and so delicious! Such a foodie spot to go too. The old couple that run Pizza Paul’s are so friendly and nice. The food was delicious and filling. My boyfriend and I willing to come back very soon.

I love Pizza Pauls!!! I’ve lived in the neighborhood for three years and come regularly. It can take a while for your food – on average 20 min for a sandwich – but it’s always fresh and delicious so with appropriate expectations you can have a great experience. The food is delicious. I usually order their pepperoni pizza(small is around $ 8 – a great price and dish for when I don’t feel like cooking and wanna take a walk up) or either their pastrami sandwich or cheese steak sandwich. I recommend them all. Pizza Paul himself and his wife are so sweet. He has the gruff but sweet demeanor of somebody’s grandfather and always greets me warmly when I come in. I love supporting this mom and pop shop when I have a craving for pizza or too-good-to-be-good-for-me meal.

I’ve only had two slices of the BBQ Chicken Pizza(that wasn’t my choice) which is not normally one of my faves, but I must say it was legit! The place is totally unassuming from the outside but that pie was righteous! Based on one of the other reviews I’m going to have to try a calzone next week when I’m back to do lighting in a nearby theater. The service by ‘Pop’ is quirky but it’s worth him oddly staring at you for the slices.

No star! Don’t come here if you expect decent customer service. These reviews are weird. How does this place get 4 stars?! Here’s my story… My family and I walked here – Since it’s walking distance – we enter pizza Paul’s and get greeted with a horrible, mean face from Mr. Paul himself. He says nothing to us, just stares with a scowl, mad dogs my children! I make a comment to him, saying i heard of him on Unilocal,he says nothing, I say it again, then he mutters«is it true?» I tell him we ll see. The whole time he stares at us, sees we have no menus but does not offer some or bring us some. I have to get up, go to him and grab some. He later comes to my husband and asks if we’re ready, my husband says not yet, mr. Paul interrupts and basically says we need to hurry bc it takes 40−60min for food to come out! From the reviews a handful say pizza Paul is fast, huh? The vibe was all wrong. I didn’t want to give this man any business. I told my husband we need to go. We all got up and left without saying a word to him. I later told my friend and she had the same experience before. Terrible place, don’t come here!
