Decent old-school Mexican food on a truck late at night. Good prices and quick service too.

4 tacos for $ 4, $ 1ea. Great bargain. They’re small for street tacos but can be made more hearty when adding ingredients from the salsa bar — lime juice, diced onions, cilantro, and sauce. I got a couple pastor, pollo and asada. They were all better than avg. The al pastor being the best.

These guys were very helpful with a coupon I had. They have awesome asada fries and tacos, I love coming here as often as I can

The tacos are $ 1! Meat seasoned really well and delicious. Definitely good tacos and you can’t beat it for the price. I was waiting outside the truck because it was closed and I looked up the number on Unilocal.A woman answered and I asked when they would be open. She said 5.(it was 3) she called the truck and they opened right away for my friends and I. Such great customer service. Our bellies are full! Xx

Decent enough tacos and the price is very, very reasonable. Stick to the lengua, the chorizo and the other meats didn’t seem quite as good– although the lengua was a tad bit chewy. Main reason for the three stars? Limited selection. Out of two other meats I wanted to try.

The Best Taco in LA! They have delicious beef taco and it is not expensive. Also the fries here sooooooooooo good!!! Better than any other restaurant!!! They have chains but I think this one is the best(I have tried others but it is not so good as this one). I can go there third times for one week. You can tell how awesome it is!!! And the guy works there is so friendly to us. He always strongly shakes his hands when we come.

Not the best pastor I have ever had but definitely the best in the area. Cut off a spit and not just greasy pieces chopped and reheated on a grill. Great salsa bar but loses a star for being very stingy with salsa cups. Right around the corner from me and I wish it was there during the day instead of the lousy one that it shares the space with. Need to try the Asada now.

The carne asada tacos are the bomb. Super duper tiny, but only $ 1 each and they taste like taco heaven. YUM.

Classic food truck cuisine. Consistent eats and a good value. If you’re not in the mood for tacos then give the Asada Fries a try.

Two stars because the service is very friendly. Downgrade because I do not remember what meal I had from this food truck. But the sauce was extremely spicy. Sorry Rubens tacos.

Carne Asada Tacos — delicious! Rice and Beans – not so. The beans were kinda sweet. Fish Tacos — not recommended either. The sauce was kinda sweet also. So I only recommend their Carne Asada Tacos. Their tacos are small because they only charge you $ 1 each. So for a serving, order 2 – 3 tacos. This food truck is stationed on Sepulveda Blvd near National Blvd(in front of CVS& Vons), from supper time until 2 am. Yup, they’re open late. P. S. Good service.

Good burritos and all, but come on credit cards are a staple in anyones wallet. In addition, how sanitary is 5-gal bucket salsa when you serve it all afternoon/evening/night unrefrigerated?

I was really excited to find out that they had horchata, but it was a waste of $ 2. I asked for no ice and it tasted like they added water to the horchata. It was just super gross. Their tacos are really cheap($ 1). But they were just okay. I’d rather pay a bit more for better food.

Open late, $ 1 tacos, spicy goodness. They put spicy salsa in the quesadilla and the nachos have sour cream on them(just mentioning it in case you don’t like these things). Be careful — the raw onion, radish, and pepper mix can be very spicy. I like the al pastor and asada tacos best. The burrito and torta are both $ 5 and quite filling.

This place is awesome. Parked right in front of a giant lot(and right next to my apartment) it’s my go-to for a late night snack. Delicious tacos for a buck? Oh yeah. Amazing Cali Burrito like no other? I’m in! Coke in an old school bottle and real sugar? Heck yes! Everything on the menu looks amazing, and what’s nice too are the sauces right outside so you can sauce it up before you go or bring it in their little sauce cups for home. **Caution: the red sauce is REALLY hot, so take a little to try and then add as needed. This is not Cholula people!** There’s also always a TV on with some show or movie playing in Spanish, so sometimes people stay to watch a show while they eat. Always very friendly and fast, this taco truck is the place to be for an anytime taco craving.

I’m torn like Natalie Imbruglia about writing a review for this Ruben’s. Because it is a damn good taco truck that is close to my apartment and it never has a line. And if you Unilocal it, the line will come — which I’d prefer not to deal with. But better a long line then no truck at all. So come one, come all, for the best al pastor in the neighborhood. Get it in tacos, a normal LA style burrito or an SD style California burrito that’s got sour cream and mother effin french fries in it. You can even treat yo self to carne asada fries here. Mmmm, who can say no to chunks of meat, cheese, sour cream and guacamole on a bed of fries? No one, not even your most annoying vegan friend. Swap out the al pastor for the carne asada and thank me later. Not feeling asada? Try the breakfast burrito. It takes a while to make but it is a hidden diamond gem thing. Trust me on the breakfast burrito. I live for these things. The only thing that holds them back: the salsa cup shadiness. There are large inviting tubs of salsa in front of the truck, but you have to ask the cashier for cups. You will only get two. No matter how much food you order, two cups.

1AM food? Yes please! I’m sorry I didn’t find this truck earlier. $ 1 tacos, and they were delicious. They also have a few other trucks in other parts of west la, which I’d also be curious to try. But basically like most trucks, you just line up order one window, pick up the next. The condiments are self served, so you can add as much as you’d like. It’s parked right in front of a large plaza, so at least there will be parking if it gets busy on the street. Seating wise, when I went there were 3 seats out for you to sit, but a lot of people tend to just order and eat in their cars :).

Amazing tacos and amazing service. If you want great tacos at a great price; go here. Great steak tacos and great chicken tacos I eat there 3 times a week.
