The everything bagel I had wasn’t too bad as bagels go. Was not thrilled with paying almost $ 9 for lox. This was my first time to this venue and probably my last. I was planning to order a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel; my go to order. The menu is poorly written with the text so dense it’s hard to tell what they have. They told me they don’t have bacon so I asked for lox, not realizing they charge $ 8.50 for what was a paltry amount of salmon. The taste was fine but I was shocked at the price given that when I finally deciphered their menu, most items are under $ 4. The décor is meh and the girls working there don’t seem to give a care. I’ll be taking my bagel cravings elsewhere.

although the new Brooklyn water bagel is very good in Westchester, this place still is the best in LA. I find myself very attached to the bagels here. My wife and I spent around 9 years across the street at UCLA housing, and we still come often to get a dozen and challah. My family in Oxnard also eagerly wait for bagels and cream cheese from the Bagel Factory every time we visit them. my 87 year old dad and 81 year old mom love them as well

When I was a teen, this was the spot for Pizza Bagels. well it’s been a long time since then. I decided to walk in the other day and boy do they have a variety. I was seeking the infamous«Pizza» Bagel and when I turned and found it inside of a glass casing, yet this time it was bigger in size! It was the biggest pizza bagel I had ever seen… I ordered it right away, they heated it up… I ordered lentil soup as well. why not? I semi-ran to my car and opened the box and ate my extra large pizza bagel like a fat lil’ kid! ahhh the memories… the lentil soup was alright… but back to the pizza bagel…

I was dying for breakfast and Unilocaled the area and came across The Bagel Factory. This is a cool spot. I unfortunately have bad eyes and their menu is way up high, lol, so I was like ‘Jack… focus, I’m sure you look stupid, but hopefully you’ll be able to read that thing!’ and luckily I did! I got a egg salad sandwich on sesame bagel(I LOVESESAMEBAGELS!). I also got a cup of coffee… black, like my… hair, heart, and other things… The sandwich was made pretty quick, and it looked picture perfect! I unfortunately didn’t notify them that I don’t want tomatoes, so I just went with it and ate it with tomatoes… The sandwhich tasted really good. It lacked a little bit of flavor, I think if I added salt and pepper to it, it would have been a little better, but overall a really good sandwich. The coffee was good, nothing exceptional, though they did have a vanilla nut coffee that smelled Amazing! BUT they were completely out of it… BOOO! lol Its a cool spot to swing by and get breakfast. Bagel sandwich tasted great, service was cool… I’d recommend trying it, and I’ll possibly be back if I’m in the area!

I have been coming for the last three day here getting a bagel and cream cheese but today I got a energy bar. I usual ask for hot water and she gave it to me for free except today it was .50 cent I decline so I guess I will take my business else where.

While I was driving into work today, I realized that I had a terrible craving for a bagel. Luckily, I remembered that The Bagel Factory recently made some arbitrary top 10 list and so I decided to stop by. Even before you fully breach the threshold of the establishment, you can smell the aroma of the fresh bagels. I was blown aways by all common and not so common choices. The Black Russian looked a lot like a pumpernickel bagel, but I did not want to take any leaps of faith here. One of the members of the staff told me that it’s nothing special, just a basic bagel. It wasn’t even made with any special grains or flour. I decided not to argue and opted for an everything bagel, un-toasted, with lox spread, and a tomato. Moments later I had the doughy torus in my possession. The second I unwrapped it, however, I was a little shellshocked by the neon pink color of the cream cheese. Initially, I thought it was a strawberry spread, but it smelled like salmon and so I bit right into it. Well, before I bit into it I had to wrestle the not completely cut through paper. It’s the little things, you know? The bagel itself was soft and chewy on the inside with an almost crisp exterior. Perhaps missing just a touch of natural doughy flavor. Unfortunately, the lox spread was quite bad. Grainy and rather bland with almost an artificial fish taste, made worse only by the radioactive neon glow not found in nature. The bagel was warm, but everything inside was stone cold and did not make the contrast enjoyable. I went as far as googling what would possess someone to make the spread this color, but fell short on answers. However, I did find out that a Black Russian is a deep, dark Pumpernickel Everything Bagel. Who knew?

I love this place! I come here a few times a week when I have time before work, and I’ve always had a great experience. The line moves fast, and they are great at accommodating any requests or substitutions. Pretty expansive menu for a bagel place, and they have some pretty good kosher lunch options in the fridge. It’s always tough for me to *not* get a bagel, but I’ve gotten the grilled cheese and soup a few times and, like everything else on the menu, they’re delicious. The best thing here has got to be the chocolate chip challah, though. I pick it up in the morning on Fridays and it’s always a favorite at Shabbat dinner that night :)

In my quest to find east coast bagels here in LA I stumbled upon this little place. Had all the usual things expected for a bagel joint. I ordered a sandwich and a coffee. Coffee was hot and fresh, but the bagels were a little small. Maybe it was just the one I had, since I didn’t order a dozen I had nothing to compare to. That said, it was busy so I took that as a sign of its popularity.

I can’t find a better bagel anywhere in Los Angeles… This is the best hands down. I get the Onion with extra cream cheese, and it is always a treat!!! Anytime I am in the neighborhood I have to swing in… Yum

Made changes back for the better! Pizza bagels have been back now and are hot and ready. Everyone is so friendly. The old manager has been back now too. Come in two to three times a week again and very happy!

The everything bagel was warm at 2PM. Yum! Just not an amazing bagel. I think the Original Brooklyn Water Bagel places are better. Service was great.

I live around the corner from this place so I finally decided to try it. They offer numerous fresh bagels everyday. It’s a cute and convenient place however they don’t serve any MEAT!!! I went in thinking I was going to get a bagel sandwich with eggs, cheese, and bacon but as I was looking through the menu I was like uhhh something is missing and the lady helping me said they don’t serve meat. Why not? Major letdown. Another turn off is they microwave everything even the eggs. I tried the Western Omelet and it was okay surprisingly but I just really missed the meat lol. I also had a plain bagel with regular cream cheese and the cream cheese tasted like something was missing I think they put light cream cheese on it instead of regular because it tasted low fat. I will try again.

Oh, sweet Bagel Factory: I’ve been a regular here for over ten years, stopping by a few days a week, consistently. I was eating an egg salad sandwich from here after I found out I was in labor and needed to eat before the big show. This place has such a special place in my heart. Their bagels are excellent, their breakfast sandwiches fresh and filling, and their staff so damn efficient and reliable. Grab an egg salad sandwich or bagel with lox and on of their excellent veggie soups and lunch can’t get much simpler or better.

Our first visit today, Everything Bagel was Awesome, Sugar Cinnamon Raisin was Delightful. Black Russian missed the mark, but that is just my preference. Nice staff, fully stocked and clean environment

Yum! I come here when I need to get prescriptions as CVS and never leave unhappy. Their staff is always very nice and let’s me sample their soup every time. Which is to die for by the way. Their prices are so great! I get a small bowl of soup and plain bagel and it costs me only $ 5. I love eating here and will always choose it over the chain restaurants in the plaza. It’s more of a lunch/coffee spot but they are definitely delicious. Not the nicest place to eat but the food is yum

This place is unassuming but it’s been here for a long time. Service is excellent, the bagels are tasty, always fresh and they have the largest selection I’ve come across any other deli I’ve visited. Bonus: They serve kosher, low sodium and healthy soups like broccoli, 15 bean, very veggie chili, cauliflower, tomato, lentil, mushroom barley, and others. And if you get a medium or large soup they throw in for free 1 or 2 free bagels, respectively. They’re hummus and vegetable bagel sandwich is superb. Ask for extra hummus for free.

Only a few things on this earth are worth waking up 20 minutes early before work on a Monday morning. Procuring a fresh, delicious bialy from the Bagel Factory is one of those things. If you have never tried a bialy: it is basically a baked(not boiled) bagel with diced onions in the center. Bialys are delicious, and the Bagel Factory is quite possibly the only place in southern California that makes a decent bialy. Eat immediately after purchase. I have tried not only eating the day after but also freezing to eat throughout the week. The results are garbage. It is kosher so get it to go and BYOB — bring your own bacon.

While I still think moving the soups behind the counter instead of allowing customers to ladle their own was a bad decision, the service has gotten better. The employees have returned to their former level of efficiency and while they aren’t smiling their faces off, they get the job done. ** SONNY’S SOUPS. I want to preface this by saying that I all-but-loath vegans. Vegetarians get a stink eye. What I’m saying is that I don’t often eat vegetarian soups, but ALL the soups at the Bagel Factory(produced by «Sonny’s Soups») are either vegan or vegetarian with the exception of one or two, including the Salmon Chowder. Furthermore, all the ingredients they use in their soups are posted in the open for all to see. — Tortilla Soup. It’s like a cumin– and coriander-laced tomato purée with chunks of tortilla. Simple, but really freaking good. I can’t explain it, but it’s amazing when eaten off a piece of toasted egg or onion bagel. MmmmM! — Very Veggie Chili. Probably my favorite soup, because it’s packed with different beans that really load me up with protein. The soup is a beautiful mix of kidney beans, garbanzos, pintos, hominy, tomato, carrot, and celery… Again, all the ingredients are listed at the store. A vegetable broth with plenty of spicy kick bring all the ingredients together. And, like most chili, it’s even better the next day, so get a LARGE. :) This soup I like to pair with their Tomato-Basil bagel. * BAGELS. Not epic, but I’ve never had a bagel that blew my mind. Everyone says I have to go to New York for that. I suppose. These bagels are made fresh daily, in-house, and have a nice texture albeit slightly more dense than I might prefer. The chewiness that comes with that density can be overwhelming when too large a bite is taken. Overall, I’m just stoked that the service is back to normal. Good bagels, GREAT soup, and easy parking. Works for me. ALLSOUPSANDBAGELSAREREADYTOROCKAT5AM. You heard me, you can get soup for breakfast people. And I suggest you do.
