I bought some cute wooden earrings here for under $ 5. Then, I saw the same exact earrings at another shop in Silverlake for $ 60! I asked the other salesman why his earrings were so marked up. He said that it was «the jewelry designer’s branding» and explained that the designer earned the right to set her price in accordance with the rest of her line. I said that was ridiculous, since she sourced those earrings from India or somewhere.
A lot of the stuff in here is made from cheap materials. But you can also find beautifully dyed silk scarves and great cotton summer dresses. I can’t go in there without buying something, because this store is so affordable!
