Cheap Place/Cheap Burgers. First and last time, wont be coming back. Low quality burgers. Asked for no tomatoes, they loaded with tomatoes. Lousy service from girl taking orders. I doubt she has a clue about customer service. Did not felt welcome at all.

I called over the phone to place my order. They told me that it would be ready in 5min. I got there 10 min later and they took another 10min to make it. They only accept cash

Amazing fries, HUGE portions! Cheap, cash only, no frills dive. The service is quick and friendly, and there’s a good amount of seating inside. Get your greasy food fix here!

This place has everything you’ve always craved. Speedy service, yet quality greasy deliciousness. The chefs are very courteous and clean. Some of the best tacos I’ve had — better than street and Tito’s Tacos. The ingredients are quite decent for the offerings. Don’t let exterior fool you.

First things first… this is a greasy spoon. That said, it’s an amazing greasy spoon. For the price, the portions are 2X as big as you would get at some chain fast food joint. The service is very efficient, the selection huge, the food made to order… what’s not to love? It is totally no-frills as evidenced by the vintage signs, worn down vinyl flooring by the order window, and cash only.

I came here twice: first time I had a bacon cheeseburger,(the steak was overcooked), and second time a beef plate: awful ! One piece of fat for one piece of(overcooked too) meat, and corn tortilla tasted like plastic. I was not able to finish my plate. Maybe I didn’t order the right thing, but I don’t want to try again.

Disgusting!!! I tried to order something safe like chicken wings and fries. Oooooh girl! The wings were petrified, dried out and then a tiny drizzle of red sauce. They looked like they had been sitting for days. Seriously!!! Such an easy item to make and these guys jacked it up badly! GROSSS. Not edible. The fries were so mushy and not fully cooked they flopped worst than a wet noodle and were coated with disgusting over salted seasoning salt. If you are looking for heart attack food, this is your place. If you want food that taste like a garbage can, this is your place. If you want food that is super unhealthy and bad for you in all ways… Here it is!!! Worst meal I have ever had in LA! Someone please either shut this dirt, disgusting, foul place down or revamp it!!! BTW no visible health department rate. I am sure it’s got to be a C or less. GROSSSSSS!!! I do not recommend this to anyone.

The chicken plate is amazing, you can feed 3 people from this plate. And if you don’t like waiting in line. Call your order in. But thrust me people get the CHICKENPLATE. There chili cheese fries are a heart attack waiting to happen, but those fries are so good.

I always come here if I dont have any food in my house. It can be a little ghetto, but the food isn’t bad. I don’t like to eat there because I think it’s kind of dirty. I really dont see them cleaning the tables since everyone working there works in the kitchen. If you take it to go you wont regret it. There chilly cheese fries are amazing. They are big and they put a lot of chili and cheese all over. They only cost $ 5. The have hamburgers for $ 2 something. I think its not pricey at all and the food is good. They have a lot to choose from.

I have been coming here since I was a kid, and this place never seems to disappoint me. The breakfast plate is very generous and delicious. The fried chicken along with grilled chicken are very good for dinner.

Only for the breakfast burrito, which was tasty, just not what i’m looking for. This monster came with both sausages and bacon, hashbrowns, cheese and eggs and that’s it and ran me about $ 5. The salsa was pretty good with a nice kick and the sausages had some nice seasoning. Heartattack-ack-ack waiting to happen. Staff was super friendly

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I am always out seeking the different tastes of this diverse culture. Burgers are perhaps the cultural symbol of American food and I have been on the search for a while. Ted’s Burgers is perhaps one of the better tasting burgers in South L.A. I would definitely pick this place over any other fast food chain. The price to food ratio are great and the quality is much better than most fast food industries. Definitely coming back!

I will remember this restaurant more for it’s décor than any other feature. The interior actually seemed like it had been secured and partially vandalized. Fixtures were missing, there were no napkins or condiments. I felt like I was ordering and paying at a bank behind bullet prof glass. This certainly had me feeling more like I was in the midst of a crime zone than any other restaurant I have ever been in. Given this somewhat nerve racking décor, some part of me hoped that the food would somehow be good enough to justify the apparent risk I was taking just by being there. Unfortunately, I received plain, skinless, frozen fat fries. They were actually terrible. I can’t recommend going here or any reason.

Pretty good on price and quantity. I got the double bacon cheeseburger. Pretty well made. The burger was mild on the grease. Fries were greasy but crispy so I liked em a lot. The only thing that bummed me out was that the burger meat was like the standard burger meat they have at most places. You know what I am talkin about, the standard(¼lb) thin meat. Other than that it was cooked good and seasoned good. The people there were nice and the food came out quick. The kitchen from what I saw was pretty clean and kept up. Don’t get your hopes up on the scenery or décor lol. Its still in a hood area. Try not to forget to lock your lexus doors if you know what I mean haha.

mmmm Ted’s Burger #3… Initially I had chili-cheese burgers with bacon here, which were great. They were quite good. I mean, looking at the burger in its entirety really put a twinkle in my eye… I was excited to eat it the moment I saw it. On another occasion however, I ordered some chicken tacos. I became wary after paying over $ 5 for two tacos(with added cheese). I wondered if I should have opted for the 2-dollar-more charbroiled chicken meal which I had seen others order and receive massive plates of chicken and side-goods. Once I got the tacos though, I was hyped. There were two torillas per taco full of lean chicken chunks that were seasoned and delicious. It was definitely some quality chicken, and the tortillas were at capacity. basically, this is a pretty solid food option with a large menu and cheap prices. The chicken is really good, and it’s one of the better burger places in the area. Plus there are grits(which I haven’t tried yet). oh, and the fries as really good. Thick, seasoned, and generous amounts. plus the name is fun to say

so I’m on my way to see my buddy, who lives in the ghetto on 37th and Normandie, and i get there early and I’m starving so i decide to hit up the very first thing i see off the freeway. there on the corner of Jefferson and Normandie is Ted’s #3. it looks like those spots all over the valley and most of LA in strip malls that has burritos, burgers, pastrami, etc. so i say what the hell. outside it’s nice and ghetto, crack heads and homeless creep around the place. inside are the sober crackheads and some dirty kids. everything on the menu is cheap and they had some pretty good combo deals. i ordered a double bacon cheese burger and fries expecting absolutely nothing good, just something to fill my belly. my belly who wants food, nay, DEMANDS i eat all the time! and my belly wanted burger so i had to appease my master. 10 minutes pass and guy at the counter nods at me and hands me my burger filled sac. i take it and quickly head to the car to escape and drive to my friends house. he’s still not there so i opt to eat it fresh in my car, hence the lack of photos. i try some fries first on the way, and they’re really effing good! so now I’m getting kinda excited for the burger since it smells pretty good and I’m really diggin these fries. finally i park and unwrap a monster sized burger! i thought the weight in the bag was fries but no, it was BURGER! first bite: juicy, not greasy, perfect seasoned crisp bacon and lots of it, goopy cheese(i write that with love, goopy cheese is great on burgers) and it’s hot and fresh and oh I’m in love! after a few bites i really wish i could have unwrapped it inside and taken pics of this beauty. by the time I’m done I’m fully into meat coma, couldn’t finish my fries at all and began to wish i just got a single. for the next hour i smelled of burger, i burped burger, and dreamed burger. i was in a pretty intense meat coma but nice, totally hit the spot and i will be back to this ghetto fab burger shack next time i head to USC.
