The Helping Hand Bros

I received a coupon for Helping Hand Bros plumbing company in a Valupack mailer. It advertised they would snake your drain for $ 39.95, with exceptions that limited cabling to a drain with access and only up to 90ft. Most companies charge a minimum of $ 80 for this service so I jumped on the opportunity. The technician Shaun came to my condo on Super Bowl Sunday, and cabled the drain. He pulled out a hair band, bobby pins, and razor covers. In less than 20 minutes he unclogged my drain and honored the coupon. I am honestly very surprised by the negative reviews, I will definitely use them again!

I recently called them to arrange a time to come to my unit. The person who picked up the phone was rude, condescending and in a hurry to get off. Her name was Illiana. I advised Illiana that I need her to send me a copy of the insurance certificate so I give it to the office of the building to save them time when they arrive and so they don’t get stuck in the dock sitting around wasting time. She stated that is it 358 PM and she has to leave and can’t deal with it right now. That in the morning before they come to my unit she will work on it. She said she has to close up and deal with one more caller. That morning I called and she was not present. I spoke to a Bianca who was clueless. Eventually I got a hold of Illiana and she was antagonistic and was in a bad mood and curt. I advised her that I need the insurance certificate which she eventually sent to me. Thereafter I advised there that I noticed their Unilocal reviews were not that great and I would be appreciative if she sends someone who will be professional and get the work done. She got extremely angry and told me she will cancel the service. This despite the fact that I took half a day off and was waiting for them. I asked her to speak to the owner Michael Martinez and she stated she will have him call me which he has not. A service that would treat a customer this way will only continue in this path once they come to your residence which would explain all the negative reviews about their work. Though I lost a half day of work I am glad that Illiana cancelled on me and saved me even more time and expense. Save yourself the hassle and use someone else. Finally The Helping Hand Bros have two other links on Unilocal and all of them have negative reviews. I will post this there as well.

This company advertises clean out your drain for $ 39.95. When they come to look at it they ask if you read the fine print. The total service is $ 139.95. What a rip off and a total waste of my time. Is there not an honest plumber in the San Fernando Valley? So, far I’ve not found one. Be upfront with your advertising. This company is not. Stay clear!
