We wonder whatever happened to this truck, We don’t see it around any more. And that’s too bad because we really wanted to try some other items on it. The only thing I’ve tried here is their Cote’ d Azure crêpe. This is a wonderful savory creation of turkey, artichoke, tomato, mozzarella and pesto in a crêpe. When I got it I was glad to see that it looked and tasted more like french home made than french bistro. And by that I mean that it was a good sized portion that tasted way better than it looked. After visiting Paris my impression of French Bistro food is small portions of pretty food that taste really good. The french woman who took my order was very nice who offered tastes and the lady cooking looked like it could be her mother. Perhaps that’s why we haven’t seen them around lately, who knows. We’re just hoping they come back on the scene so we can try some of their other offerings.

I ate at The Little Frenchie while the truck was at the Gateway To Go food truck lot. It was an impulse selection. I had not looked at any fellow Unilocalers’ reviews and recommendations, but no other trucks looked promising that day, so I thought I’d take a chance. I was very impressed. I ordered the Little Frenchie sandwich. Their menu says that it is Roast beef, caramelized onions, and Dijon mustard on a french-dipped french roll, but I do believe there was an additional ingredient, which must have had some wonder drug, or a brain-washing sauce that told me to tell the world it was the best sandwich I have ever had… Because it really was one of the best sandwiches I had ever had in my life! It wasn’t large, but it was just the right size to satisfy me on lunch without putting me into the all-too-often inevitable food coma. When I was done I had to seriously restrain myself from buying another one to take home for dinner. I’ve not seen the truck since, so have not had a chance to try any of their other offerings, but when it is back in my neighborhood, I will be sure to get one of everything on the menu. Best food truck I’ve experienced thus far.

I’m sure the crepes are good, but I was in the mood for a sandwich at the Pomona Moon Block Party /Art Walk. I ordered the Caprese($ 6) which was tomato, mozzarella and fresh basil drizzled with balsamic on a french roll. The tomato was fresh, cheese was average and balsamic was good. The basil was fresh, but it was cut into little sprinklings of basil so there was no real basil taste. The sandwich definitely needed MOREBASIL or even a nice pesto spread. The bread was ok, but not spectacular… and I thought it was a bit strange that they toasted the bread but served the sandwich cold(unmelted cheese). It wasn’t bad, but there’s room for improvement. Guess that’s what I get for ordering a sandwich off a crêpe truck!

The Little Frenchie is a great food truck. I first encountered this Franco-themed mobile eatery when it parked in front of the Cinefamily during their screening of the Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Can that be any more appropriate? I had convinced myself that I had already written this review, but after seeing Javier J.‘s review, noticed that I hadn’t. In any case, I am a huge fan. Prices are good, but quality of tops. I am fan of their crepes and their oh-so-rich sandwiches. Their croque madaam is tasty, although not to standards of some of the best French bistros in town. For street fare however, you can’t go wrong here!

I really wanted to like this truck, I really did, I tried them at a food truck fest so you would think they would come ready to serve a larger group of people but they were so understaffed that after waiting 10 minutes in a line of 4 people we then waited nearly 30 more minutes after we ordered to get the crepes. I felt bad for the girl working because I’m pretty sure she was all alone in the truck. The wait got so bad that people were just asking for refunds. We stuck it out because we figured that we had waited that long what’s a little longer. When the tiny crêpe came out it was just disappointing. Maybe it was my fault for really wanted to like a truck, ya know, putting it up to a level it couldn’t reach. Maybe it was that I was really craving a crêpe that was going to make my face happy. Or maybe they were just having an off day. I dunno, it just wasn’t a great experience.

How could you not like a food truck that gives you all the warmth of french sandwiches? Not to mention that they take that stereotype that the french are lazy people who give up so easily and turn it on its head. There was nothing lazy about the way this truck did business. As well as creating a lot of creative sandwiches and food options. You know, I’ve felt that I haven’t had enough Jarlsberg cheese in my life and here the Frenchie truck comes through in what can be considered one hell of a delicious croque Madame. Yes, it’s a girl sounding name, but the Monsieur didn’t come with a fried egg. And really, a fried egg on a sandwich that has ham on it is just like having breakfast any time you want. they also have a slew of crepes that are speaking my language. Seeing as I’m more of a savory type of person and dessert, while tasty, comes second to eating more tasty meat. Besides, how can you say no to a crêpe filled with tri-tip, spinach, mozzarella and olives? Trick question, you can’t. They also have a few dessert option crepes. You have your standard Nutella based ones as well as many fruit ones. One other thing, it looks like they’re paying homage to our changing the name of french fries to freedom fries by giving us back PB&J. Their American sweetheart is a crêpe with peanut butter and jam. Yup, I would say that’s farting in our general direction. Oh those silly French people. A mobile food truck that can have my business any time.

The other day, my work friends and I were going to drive off to Sweetsalt to procure a delicious sandwich. We stepped out of our work and saw that lovely little yellow food truck… I turned and looked at my companions, and they instantly knew. We weren’t going anywhere. Sorry, Sweetsalt! I love love love the Little Frenchie truck!!! The girls who work the truck are really sweet. They get the job done fast, and make an effort to remember repeat customers– a touch you wouldn’t expect from a lunch truck! I always order the same thing– a Caprese sandwich with a side salad, hold the onion. The food is simple yet delicious and decadent. The bread they use for the sandwich is doused and salty with olive oil and a dribble of balsamic! Yum! The side salad is similarly seasoned, and it’s the perfect complement to my favorite sandwich. I always finish the ENTIRE meal, and I never feel stuffed, heavy or icky afterwards. It’s the perfect lunch!

With my mom in charge of ordering from Little Frenchie I knew I would be getting something delicious. When she walked up to me she had a tiny little sandwich in her hands and I thought that she might have led me astray. I should have had more faith in her! It turns out she had saved some money and ordered a half sandwich. I love it when places offer half versions of their food. That’s super considerate AND helpful. And I like that. We munched on our half Corsican in happy prosciutto, parmesan, apple bliss. I thought the bread on this baby was the most awesome thing ever. It was warmed and that was nice but it was also dense and a little sweet. There was just something totally delicious in this bread! I was crazy about it. The apples were crispy and fresh and the prosciutto was perfect. It was a very nice little snack. I looked at their menu as I was walking by and noticed that they have crepes and french onion soup too. This calls for a return trip!

I only had the French Onion Soup — and it was so good I went back and bought two more to take home. I HATE French Onion Soup(my friend ordered me to try hers and I’m glad I did). A lot of recipes call for wine in the soup, which tends to give it a sour taste that I don’t care for. But this was beefy and oniony and hot(which was a plus, since it was about 45 degrees at the Santa Clarita Food Truck Fest). It came with toasted baguette slices and I found the cheese in the bottom(I’m going to guess Gruyère). It was served by a very nice woman who told me the soup recipe was her mother’s. Why didn’t my mom make food that good? I will be back to try the Croque Monsieur and more of that fabulous soup.

Wow! Fantastique! We’re not able to travel to France currently, so I contacted Laeticia of The Little Frenchie, on Halloween night, to cater my boyfriend’s surprise birthday celebration the next evening(last nite) — I was blessed to find they were available! The food was wonderful! EVERYONE loved it. The ladies were pleasant and accommodating AND my budget was not stretched! I chose 2 sandwiches — delicious, 2 savory crepes-amazing, and 2 sweet crepes — yummy, by which our guests could select — after which they raved about the food! My boyfriend was delighted — I was too! We’re gonna be stalking them now for our french fixe until we can fly to Paris again.

Stumbled into this truck and tried a crêpe for the first time. It was delicious, definitely going to stalk this truck and go back to try more of their menu. Staff was extremely nice and didn’t say a word even though I was pretty sure I was pronouncing everything on the menu wrong.

First lets give some love to the Patty Wagon truck. I didn’t eat there, but if they didn’t put up a sign in Sunset, I never would have turned right on Cole Street and seen Little Frenchie. While half the people in the 323 were lined up right across the street at Nom Nom; there were only a few of us at Little Frenchie and everyone was happy. This is not the stereotypical snooty escargot driven French Food that they exploited on the Great Food Truck race. I’ve never been to France, but I reckon this is more like the food the average Jerry Lewis loving, French guy would eat when the tourists aren’t watching. The ladies in the truck were also a lot more friendly than the French stereotype too. I had a Corsican, a warmed ciabatta roll with Prosciutto, Parmesan, and 3 sliced apple wedges. It’s a pretty basic sandwich, and the apples added a nice texture to it. The sandwiches here are smaller than you find on most trucks. But there are two upsides to that. The price was only 6.00 including tax and that included a nice side of pasta salad. I chose rigatoni and I noticed they also had rotelle to choose from also. Curiously, a couple of people passed on the salad for a small bag of Fritos. The other upside of the smaller size sandwich — –More room for a Dessert Crêpe. Just stumbled across this in North Hollywood and had a very tasty croque madame. The woman who took my order was quite friendly, they had some charming French music playing, and I’m always amenable to crepes, croissants, and croque anything. While the croque madame was by no means haute cuisine(as some trucks try to be), the bread was nice and buttery, the cheese was nice and gooey and quite tasty, and throwing a nice runny egg on top of things never hurts. I also got a side of pasta salad, which sounded good on the menu board, but didn’t look like much special at first glance. How wrong I was — caramelized onions, mushrooms, and asparagus mingled with the pasta and gave delicious flavor to every bite. What really did it for me was that this cost a measly $ 5. FIVEBUCKS! I look forward to going back and trying out their crepes.

As far as flavor and price go, I am a fan of this food truck. Who can deny a $ 5 – 6 full-size panini with a side? I was surprised to come across the truck on my way to the Cool Haus truck one day at work during lunch and I’m glad I did. I have to try their crepes soon. Friendly staff, good food, great prices… it’s all you need. (The faux painted truck was a good touch, haha)

Wednesday has become my favorite day of the week due to this trucks stop across from universal studios(where i work). the little frenchie sandwich has become a weekly staple for me. just the right amount of roast beef, just the right amount of mustard, and a bunch of awesome grilled onions!!! oh yeah!!! the staff is amazing as well!!! they remember me by name(for some strange reason!) and have been kind enough to set aside their awesome pain au chocolat for me! everyone needs to check these fine ladies out! to Hell with greasy kogi! little frenchie is the way to go!

The staff is very amiable and seem to love what they do. They love chatting with their customers and genuinely care about the food they hand to their customers. There isn’t any hype, lines, ticket numbers, or greasy food here — my kind of food truck experience. They parked at their usual Wednesday spot in a quiet park off Lankershim and Valley Heart Drive just across from Universal Studios. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot to enjoy my crêpe(though I had to sit in my car because there weren’t any picnic benches or seats in the park). I ordered a dessert crêpe called La Tatin — lightly caramelized apples, crushed hazelnuts with spiced rum essence. It wasn’t overly sweet(as many caramelized apple dishes are) and the spiced rum was subtle but apparent. The elasticity of the crêpe itself was just right, covering the apples like a warm blanket. I was told that La Tatin wasn’t getting as much love from customers as the other dishes on the menu(though it’s one of the dishes that the chef put most heart into). Well, I fell in love and I’m sure if others tried it they would too. I’m coming back for more every Wednesday. I just hope they don’t take La Tatin off the menu!

Everything about the Little Frenchie screams delicious! I am an avid dessert crêpe consumer so, I’m always looking for a good crêpe. The crepes around West Hollywood are adequate, but when I was in North Hollywood one day and I stumbled upon this food truck, my nose immediately stopped me and I had to try their crepes. The Ooh La La crêpe was absolutely delicious. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth and was very filling. I’d love for them to come out to downtown LA. I know a couple coworkers who might be interested.

My studio just moved into Burbank and our building is isolated from many eateries, and being near the airport is no help. Seeing their yellow truck with the little frenchie logo on the side intrigued me. I was not disappointed, having the breakfast crêpe was completely satisfying and delicious! I raved about them to the rest of our crew and so far everyone has been very impressed with the quality and flavors of the food. Top notch, friendly and highly skilled, a pleasure to have come around.

They sucked me in with their cute little French Bulldog face emblazoned on the side of their truck. They kept me interested with their menu chock full of delicious simple and classy French sandwiches, sides and crepes at prices that would make the Dollar Store blush. But they won my heart the minute I cut into that monstrous Sweet Frenchie crêpe and watched nutella, strawberries and bananas seep out of a perfectly cooked crêpe. Let’s be honest, they really won me over from the first whiff I greedily sniffed out of the brown paper bag they handed me, I was almost back in Paris, save the horrid fluorescent office lighting and constant summer Valley sun seeping in the windows in my office. Sometimes I have self-control. I know what a portion is, and I know how to size it(size of my fist, size of my fist) but damn it if I didn’t eat the entire crêpe save a few bites I gave to my coworkers… PLUS the Turkey Croque Monsieur the actual French Chef served to me. Self control turned into reckless abandon the moment they put that two pound crêpe into my hands. These women know their craft. The prices are so affordable, even an unpaid intern should have no complaints. My crêpe was $ 3. THREE. The sandwich was $ 4 but you get your choice of a side(fresh fruit, mixed green salad, chips, or pasta salad) with it. Only one complaint, my Croque Monsieur was a little dry, more butter on the bread when they grill it would take care of that. However, I must disclose that I like a Croque Madame better in general. The sandwiches are manageable and petite enough to keep the food coma away, but the crepes are sure to take care of that. Chat up the women, they are friendly and happy and want you to leave feeling the same way. With these prices, portions, and quality, I don’t see how you couldn’t. Bien fait«Le Petit Frenchie»!
