White socialite club(duh Silverlake) with below mediocre djs and passive aggressive bartenders. I’m no music snob but stop advertising dance yrself clean as indie pop night when it’s standard pop music from 2010.

I came here to see my friends band. They obviously killed it, so I can confirm they do a badass job booking talent. The venue is cool. Plenty of dancing space but also plenty of lounging space. I went during the week so I can only speak on that experience but casual attire was more than enough for that time. I was definitely over dressed but the place is so cool I didn’t feel weird about it. I knocked a star off because the beers were significantly over priced and that is pretty lame. The bathrooms were clean but someone had freshly vomed in one when I entered but I can’t realllllyyy hold that against the venue. Overall, cool place with dope music. Will be back, but will preface harder to avoid the over priced beers next time.

If you want to go out and have a spontaneous Saturday night, I’d say this place might be worth checking out. Typically you have a $ 5 cover at the door, it’s really warm inside so don’t over dress. I’ve been here on wild nights where the crowd is fun and the place is bumpin’ and other nights where is was ehhh alright. Drinks are fairly priced, service is hit or miss. Like I said, it’s worth a shot… make what you want out of it!

I came here by myself for Dance Yourself Clean, which was kind of a weird decision and naturally led to kind of a weird experience. People were pretty friendly at the bar and on the dance floor, so I didn’t have to stand around looking stupid all night which was a plus. There are lots of beautiful people here, and it’s intimidating. Drinks were reasonably priced, but you have to wait like 20mins in some cases to get one. The line in the woman’s bathroom was also like 15mins and standing around listening to a bunch of drunk chicks’ conversations was just awkward. Idk, even though the purpose of the event is the music, I was pretty disappointed with it. It’s touted as being indie-pop but it was not that different from standard club music. Still I’d probably come again, but alone – no way.

We arrived at 10.30pm, almost no waiting. The music was fantastic, crowd was fun. Left at 12.30pm and people were queuing outside. Dance yourself clean are awesome!

Really cool bands are always playing here and they have a nice seating area to chill. Monday nights are free if anyone wants to take time off from their busy schedules to rock out!

I came here for Dance Yourself Clean with some friends last Saturday night. Decent drinks, chill crowd, and good music. Bonus, there was a taco truck outside when it closed which was perfect for some drunk noms.

Super cool venue. The main room is soo perfect for live shows, kind of separated from The bar area, and with an extra bar with pool table upstairs. Cool people and usually good bands I’ve heard. Been there just once but def going back. :)

What the fuck no more pool table! No more galaga! We don’t need more space to sit down pretentious people, we need space to play ! We are adults here no freaking zombies. You are not evolving you are dying here. Make it real!

Came here for a show on a Thursday a few weeks ago. Getting in was easy and smooth, no hassle from security. Purchased our tickets inside, $ 12 cash. Girl at the counter was nice and pleasant. We got there early to to see the opening band so there wasn’t that many people there. They had a few bar tables and stools and a small seating area. Had a few beers so I can’t comment on the cocktails. We only stayed in the front area. The sound for the band was on point. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and would be back to see another show.

Fun time at Dance Yourself Clean on Saturday nights. Drinks are mediocre, but hey, you shouldn’t really be expecting well-crafted cocktails at a spot like this. They do a good job managing the flow of people coming in. It doesn’t feel claustrophobic like most bars. There’s a good division between the bar area downstairs, the dance area and an upstairs area with another bar and a pool table. Super helpful that they have a coat-check. $ 3, bring cash. So worth it.

Came through for Dance Yourself Clean on Saturday night and had a great time. There was a short queue outside, which is normally a bit off-putting to me, but it breezed by quickly and we were in within 10 or so. DYC was a rad little party — lots of people, but not overcrowded. Dance floor was happy and sweaty, just as it should be. Drink prices were fair — I think about $ 7 a drink. Awesome music all night, and everyone there was in good spirits. Definitely will swing through for DYC next time I’m back in town.

Pretty standard dance bar, which isn’t why i provide a negative review. I’ve closed a lot of bars in my time, but i’ve never had a drink forcefully removed from my hands when there wasn’t a last call obviously called. Extremely rude. Edit: Jeff(owner here) responded to my review with a very honest apology – gotta say I’m impressed and will raise my review. My experience was probably just a fluke.

I use to love this place for Dance Yrself Clean(Saturdays). But no longer. The first 5 times coming here was awesome. Loved the music. Loved the crowd. Loved the venue.(Srsly, the venue is great, but their Saturday night event sucks now). But they play the same damn indie/electronica/rock songs EVERYTIME. Can you mix it up a little? I feel like with the type of event this is, the DJ should be allowed to do what they do best, which is mix it up just enough to be different amd hype the crowd. Also, word is out about this place so I’ve recently seen crazy lines to get in. Didn’t use to be like that.

My friends and I came here for Dance Yourself Clean, which they hold on Saturday nights(or at least they used to. Not sure if it’s still going on anymore). We tried to find street parking so we could avoid paying for it, but this neighbourhood was not cooperative. So in the end we had to pay valet. There is also a small entrance fee for everyone if you arrive after a certain time. The venue has two floors. Each floor has its own bar; the first floor also has the dance floor while the second floor has a more chill area with a pool table. The restrooms are also located on the second floor. The second floor bar tends to be less crowded than the one on the first floor, so we would always go to the second floor bar to order our drinks. The dance floor is not very big, but it’s big enough: P The indie music was fun to dance along to and right before midnight the band performed a song live for us. It’s a fun crowd and we all enjoyed ourselves. There was a food truck right outside the entrance so we got food afterwards. I’m not sure if it’s the same food truck usually or if they rotate on a particular schedule. It was a chill night to drink and dance yourself clean with friends.

Getting hot and sweaty at this space station. The crowd on a Saturday was quite interesting: tons of LA hipsters, a bachelorette party, a few birthday parties, and my group. The vibe was pretty chill and I appreciated the diversity of the crowd. The DJ was playing a mixture of top 40 remixes, indie pop, and some more obscure dance-electronica(all good stuff). Drinks are decently priced($ 7 tall cans of PBR were a crowd favorite), although getting a drink from the back was pretty difficult. With only one bartender, he kept going in a circular serving fashion and sometimes you’d have to wait 10 minutes to get noticed.

Such a great bar/venue! Very intimate and chill. The bar has two rooms. One room has the stage and a full bar. The other room has a full bar, restrooms, pool table, and foosball table. Came here on a Friday night to see Funeral Party, a local rock band. Tickets to shows are cheap, around $ 10. There’s $ 5 valet parking in the lot next to the bar. Best of all, there’s a taco truck in front of the bar. I look forward to coming back! It was instantly my favorite spot for live music.

This venue is a-okay. The Satellite is easy to get to and is right on a main street. But parking in the area is somewhat problematic: the neighborhood streets have permit only parking from 11pm-6am. I came here on a Wednesday to see Filligar with some friends and snagged a spot behind the venue and then moved my car at 11pm onto Silver Lake Blvd which had opened up by that time. Most of us had tickets in advance, but a few of us had to buy at the door, which is cash only, although the bar takes credit cards. Once inside we grabbed a few drinks which were averagely priced(about $ 7/beer). A few of the tables in the main area are for waiter/waitress service only so we opted to sit in the area with the pool table, which had its pros and cons: it was a little more quiet, but the glass gave it a greenhouse effect, and was very warm, and a little musty. The floor below was deafeningly loud, but I think that has more to do with me getting older than the venue itself. After all, I was at a rock show, what did I expect.

Nice little venue. Its right on Silver Lake Blvd, really close to some good restaurants, bars and can make for a really good night out, even on a week night. Sound was great, they have a good selection of beers and booze, friendly staff, security with a smile. And judging from the crowd, it even had a decent mix of normal people liberally sprinkled amongst those that wear hats at night — lowering the usually nauseating level of hipster cliché that you get in Silver Lake. I’ll do that again.
