She is amazing. So talented. She listens to you and makes your hair better than you imagined. I always wanted a sassy bob w red/​blond highlights. She made my hair so gorgeous (see my profile pic).

Barbara has no idea what she’s doing. When she colored my hair the roots were obviously lighter than the rest of my hair. When I pointed this out, she said, «No they’re not. It’ll look better when it’s dry.» (It didn’t.) When she started blow drying me, it didn’t occur to her to use any product. I had to ask her to. I found Tip Toes on the Redken list of participating salons, but it is not, in fact, a participating salon. I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

Barbara and Ripsy are the best in the business not only for great cuts and service but the most caring hair care team around. They are always willing to go the extra mile. You can’t go wrong with either of them because they both do each other’s hair!

I love Ripsy and am so happy I’m comming back to the united state. I’m in Canada and can’t find anyone who can compare. Barbra is awesome too. Looking foward to seeing these lovely ladies soon.

I am so happy with this salon. Barbara is so accommodating. She is quick, she is good and best of all she is SOOO reasonable! I get my roots and highlights done with a blow-​dry in less than 2 hrs. You can’t beat that with a bat! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Love love love Ripsi and Barbara! They have known me since I was 3 years old and I wouldn’t change them for the world I of course highly recommend Tip Toes for Hair and Nails :)

I LOVE getting my hair done by Barbara! She is very patient with me and my always changing hair needs. She just redid the salon and I love going in and just relaxing. Barbara always greets me with a welcoming hello, new magazines, and fun conversation. She never keeps me waiting and doesn’t start charging for little things that typically start running up the bill at most salons. I am constantly getting compliments about my hair and I wouldn’t stop going to Tip Toes for the world. Was just there Friday and am looking forward to my next visit already!!!

She was highly recommended word of mouth by a co-​worker, and trust me, this is how this great stylist has built her large client base because you have to always book her at least a month ahead, even for haircuts. No walk ins available with Ripsy due to her heavy load.
in 2007, she was charging $ 15 for full wash, cut and simple style. She did partial highlights for $ 40? Never seen prices that low. But she’s really fast and efficient and thorough so she makes her money thru a lot of hair turnover. But she’s super friendly and talkative so you don’t feel like she’s rushing you.
She has true gifts– her cutting techniques but her way of making her clients feel comfortable and attended to, even tho she’s fast.
The place itself looks a bit rundown, but i’m not a frou frou salon girl. I appreciate the value of the place, and Ripsy is the best– trust me, if you go, you’ll tell your friends about the best deal in town and you’ll have to book another mos. or two in advance.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Ripsy for a long time. Barbara and Ripsy both do a great job. They’re very sweet and know exactly what they’re doing.
Hair, nails, a day for primping, you got it all at this small intimate beauty salon. They have a tv and and are usually watching girly shows. They also have plenty of current magazines which is always a plus. Prices are great and not pretentious whatsoever.
Only draw back is the parking but a walk doesn’t hurt. Tip Toe your way over to Ripsy and Barbara and get ready for a day of primping. I love struttin’ my stuff back to the car and showing off my fabulous hair do.
