Do not book through –just don’t do it, the booking won’t go through. Also… I received the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at the front desk. There are plenty of other low-cost options, just avoid this place all together.

This place is a total dump. Filthy carpet. Bathroom sink didn’t drain. Got three room changes because lights didn’t work or television didn’t work, etc. Found out this morning coffee maker didn’t work. In all cases the lamps or appliances were there — just no place nearby to plug them in. We were tired and and I was not feeling well — but we never should have stayed…

I rather walk outside barefoot than in the room I stayed in. The carpet was filthy beyond explanations, trash in between the mattress, leftover joints on the floor, chocolate or poop on the bathroom wall, hair in the shower, the shower was disgusting I hope I didn’t get some sort of disease from staying the night here, I should of just slept in the car.

I wish I could give negative stars. When I walked in it stunk. Only one light worked. I tried to plug my phone in next to the bed but the outlet didn’t work. Only the one with the tv did. So I had to unplug the tv to plug in my phone. Ac didn’t work when I got here. I had to take it apart and pull the knobs out so I could turn them. The fan in the bathroom was loud and rattling. Sounded like it was going to fall out of the ceiling. The shower didn’t even work. I turned it on and it lasted about 30 seconds and then just dribbled. The deadbolt on the door didn’t work either. Just not a very good place. Online says it has a mini fridge and an alarm clock. Didn’t have the fridge and the alarm clock didn’t work.

My husband and I were moving from Silicon Valley to LA. We needed to find a place slightly south of San Jose, so we chose this Red Roof Inn. The place is sketchy, there was a sign at the check in regarding the crime in the area and that they will turn in anyone to the police. Ok, fair enough, glad that they do this, but it might give you a clue as to what type of area you are staying in. The room was very rough looking and as you can see from my reviews, I stay at a lot of budget motels and don’t usually have any major issues. The carpet was stained, there were stains on the bedding and the bathroom was in bad shape. However, my biggest issue with this motel is that I was overcharged about $ 12 on my bank statement. I tried to contact the motel to resolve this issue, was given the run around and flat out lied too. I finally got an e-mail from the manager, with tons of blatant typos and spelling errors, she accused me of requesting a higher category room. I can assure you I did not. I am really annoyed that they were completely unwilling to refund the $ and I had to contest this with my bank. My bank has since refunded my $, but why did this motel have to fraudulently overcharge my credit card? I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding this Red Roof Inn for all travel. If you DO stay here be sure to check your credit card statement after your departure.

We were on our way to LA, but decided to go safe and not drive through the night, instead find a hotel to spend the night. We look at 2 other places in Los Banos. Holiday inn and Maple motel. They were dirty and filthy and smell like smoke. Red roof was the hotel the nicest hotel in this area. Clean, modern and way more affordable then the other 2. The rooms are nice and upscale. The check in was fast and uncomplicated. This place was relaxing and a great choice. If we pass through again and we are to tired to drive, we will be back.
