Alluring Attire Alterations

NEVER TAKE YOUR WEDDING DRESS HERE!!! I purchased my wedding dress from a shop in Los Gatos and the dress was ordered in the wrong size. (PS I am a size 6 and stayed the same weight.) They suggested I use Alluring Attire to let out my dress. The owner (Inora) came over and looked at the dress. She took it and she was supposed to let it out all the way on both sides. The dress was skin tight on bottom and I wanted more of an A-​line shape. Two weeks later, I was back to try on the dress. The dress was looser, but still tight. I soon found out that the owner had not let out both sides like I had requested. She only let out one side. I had to send it back with her to let out the other side. Again, I go to try on my dress and it is still tight! The alterations person again messed up!!! She did not let out the lining, only the outer part of the dress. She literally cut the lining while I was standing in the dress. Needless to say, I was not happy with her but I felt like I did not have options to change. I tried to put it all behind me and a few months later I needed to get my final fitting scheduled before my wedding. I called 6 weeks out (like she suggested), but she was out of the country for several weeks and was not taking any calls. Again, I tried to breath and have faith. 4 weeks out when she was supposed to be back in her shop, I just stopped by and made the appointment (since she never called me back like I was promised). On the actual day of my appointment, she NEVER showed up. I was waiting outside her shop for almost an hour. My mom, godmother and I had all taken off work early to have the dress fitted! I was distraught and felt so stupid that I had not trusted my gut about trading alteration locations. Finally, I gave up and went to ANGELICA’S CUSTOM TAILORS. Angelica was AMAZING!!! Please go to her store in Campbell. Inora eventually called me days later to apologize and said she «just forgot». She told the dress store a different story about a sick family member. Alluring Attire caused significant unnecessary stress and $ 600+ dollars in alterations!!!

My wedding dress became the most stressful part of my wedding in that six weeks before my wedding it didn’t fit (as in it was too small). Adding to the stress of my wedding dress not fitting was that I was home for three days and then wouldn’t be back from London until the week of my wedding.
Alluring Alterations came to the rescue! They bent over backwards to help ensure that the dress I had picked out fit (and fit perfectly). Working with my schedule, I can’t speak highly enough of the experience I had with them.
I plan on returning for ALL of my alteration needs and referring everyone I know to them.

I was referred here by a couple of acquaintances 2 years ago, and had a great experience. Had a bridesmaid’s dress that needed a little taking in, and she did a great job.
Also, when I tried it on for her, I noted how the bell of the skirt seemed awfully wide at the bottom (knee-​length), and not really how the sample had looked when the bride picked it out with me in it (the sample, of course, was a little bigger, and its fabric was more broken-​in), so I wasn’t sure it was how the bride wanted it. She understood, agreed and helped to take it in carefully around my hips and down the edge so as not to mess up the line, but to lose a little of the extra bell-​like quality it had.
I was very happy overall, and am actually going back this month with another bridesmaid’s dress for another wedding.

I was recently a bridesmaid and was surprised when I received my dress almost 12 weeks after I ordered it to see that I needed to take the dress in over 4 inches at the top and 3 inches from the bottom. I took it to my usual alterations lady when they told me she wouldn’t work on the dress because she was too scared that she would ruin the design/​pattern/​ruching of the dress and couldn’t adjust the lining inside the dress. I was terrified… a week before the wedding and there was no way I could wear this dress!
i was then referred to Alluring Attire by Gabrielle’s Bridal Boutique.
There I was assured that my dress would be ready within 5 days and that it would fit like a glove.
Within 3 days, my dress was returned to me and get this… the best party– she convinced me to change the dress up, to make it fit nicer and more snug, to add a lace-​up corset in the back. i was a little worried, but she assured me that she designs and sews couture wedding dresses weekly. not only did she solve my dress drama that another seamstress refused to tamper with, but she used her creativity to make my dress even more unique and fashionable.
