JJ Magoos

JJ Magoos is our go-​to pizza locally. Always good — great sauce with a little zip to it, never cheap on topping, fast delivery. We’ve tried them all and this is the pizza of choice.
My daughter reminded us that yesterday was National Pizza Day, so of course we ordered. The driver delivered a pizza and my daughter noted it wasn’t quite what we ordered — then we realized we got someone else’s pizza. Called them to let them know and told them we were fine with keeping the pizza as long as the other people were ok with getting ours. :)

Great pizza. I enjoy it better than the Garrett in Los Gatos. They deliver, too. A great family restaurant. Everyone is always nice. The restaurant is always clean. I stopped getting the salad bar when I saw a little kid sneeze in it. The burger, cheese steak, and ice cream are great picks, too.

A coworker introduced me to this place, and I’m a fan! First of all, I love pizza… I’m pretty much always in the mood for pizza. Second, the price is SO worth it. We always get the lunch buffet for just under $ 10, which includes, pizza, bread sticks, soft drink, and salad! I don’t know many other places that can offer such a great value.
The first time I came in, it was almost closing time and the owner offered to make us a fresh pizza of our choice for the buffet! That was so sweet and it was fucking fresh/​delicious (I just use a bunch of napkins to dab out the excess oil). I just wish they had a dessert available as part of their buffet too. Maybe I’m asking for way too much :). Pizza hut lunch buffet used to offer cinnamon bread sticks with frosting, and I have a fat sweet tooth.

Clean inviting bright warm atmosphere family run and that’s just walking in the door. Two large pizzas were $ 20 cheaper here than at some of the chain pizzerias we were looking at so glad we stop by. Large combination large meat lovers pizza both fantastic you got customers for life JJ Magoo.

I am certainly not a huge fan of american pizzas, therefore I won’t be able to tell my opinion about the pizza themselves! (even though I really had a crush on the pesto chicken one!)
But…consider this: a bright and very clean place, a super nice manager/​owner, serving a large choice of pizzas and a full salad bar for about 9 $ all you can eat lunch buffet? this is simply unbeatable (and I think it includes soda).
The salad bar is very fresh and offers a great variety of ingredients.
I was having lunch with someone who can’t eat any carbs. The manager was nice enough to check the meatballs ingredients to ensure if it would fit in the diet.
Perfect service.

Jim from JJ Magoos is one of the best owners we have encountered at a pizza joint. He has been making pizza since the 70’s and takes pride in his shop. His pizza is extremely delicious. The crust is crunchy, the sauce is great, and the toppings are fresh. Our family shared the classic combination and it was delicious. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

JJ Magoos Pizza is where you go when the Kids want pizza and you can get a burger. Grilled to perfection. The pizza is also amazing, but it took awhile for it to arrive. In the back there is a couple of arcade games including Galaga and Mrs. Pacman. Overall the best place to hang out with your buddies and watch the game. :)

Delicious pizza. I really like this place for their lunch special. All you can eat for like $ 9. Their pizza isn’t greasy– it’s great quality and probably my favorite pizza I’ve ever had. Customer service is great too. This location is a good place to stop by and enjoy some pizza and salad on lunch.

JJ’s is without a doubt the BEST PIZZA EVER!!! While I like pizza with red sauce, I LOVE pizza with white creamy garlic sauce. JJ’ s white creamy garlic sauce is SO delicious. I can’t order a white sauce pizza anywhere else because it always dissappoints compared to JJ’s. It has the perfect amount of garlic and creaminess. My husband and I rarely go out to eat, but whenever we want to treat ourselves, JJ’s is at the top of our list.

Love their lunch buffet weekdays from 12pm-​2pm. It’s all you can eat pizza, garlic sticks, salad and a soda for around $ 10 and they have a wide variety of pizzas to choose from. I have been working down the street from this place for a long time so this is definitely a go to place, but over the years their prices have increased quite a bit… As to be expected with anything though. I do miss the days when the lunch buffet was $ 7. The salad bar is around $ 5, and that is a great deal! Salad bar ingredients are really fresh and they have a great variety to choose from. The pizza is average, not the best. The garlic chicken is my favorite. Prices for whole pizzas are a little steep.
Customer service issue: Last week when I went with a co-​worker and asked the young girl at the counter if she could please lower the volume on the television because it was to loud and she gave me a crazy look and just said «ok» as if she was being bothered. A couple minutes passed and she was wiping tables down and I got up again and asked her if she could please turn down the volume on the television and she said «yes I will, when I’m done!» I’ve never received bad customer service from JJ magoos until this time and it was very unprofessional and rude! Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth…

What do non-​cooks do for a block party?
Provide hot, fresh and delicious pizza when every one is setting up and hungry.
I called early in the day on a Friday for a 6:00 delivery of an all meat and Hawaiian pizza. Easy to order and nice to pay at the that time (my choice so full concentration on the pizza when it arrived).
At precisely 6:00 the pizza was delivered, and I might add piping hot, with a «come and get it» aroma. Great service. Great pizza. Great escape for a non-​cook.

Locally owned, family friendly pizza joint. Gluten free & vegan options and nice little salad bar. The owner is very supportive of local sports teams and this is a great place to hold an end of season party. Hard to find as it’s tucked away from Los Gatos Blvd. Definitely worth visiting & worth supporting!

Employees and owner are very nice and provide excellent customer service every time. Love the food! Especially the boneless wings :)

Best Pizza and salad Bar. You can’t beat the Prices. Pizza’s a made with quality products and the salad bar has everything you could think of. Always fresh. Bread sticks are soooo yummy too.

I do enjoy the all-​you-​can-​eat lunch buffet at noon (weekdays) from 11am to 2pm. Price used to be 6.99, then 7.99, now 9.99. It includes salad bar and drinks (sodas). Garlic sticks are the BOMB! A must! The pizza, is way over priced, I think a x-​large is almost $ 50! Crazy right! The quality of the pizza is not the greatest! I take a rain-​check on there pizza! Thanks, but no thanks!!!

Delicious, high quality pizza, timely delivery and convenient lunch time pizza by the slice. Outdoor seating is a plus, and indoor seating along windows provides plenty of sunlight. Overall a nice place to take the family or meet with friends.

Love what Jim has done with the place the pizza is the best in Los Gatos the atmosphere is great, service is great. A+++++

Super disappointing :\ I ordered the pizza sandwich off of door dash with specific instructions to include french fries instead of chips, I added a side order of French fries as well to have left overs. 18 $ later, no French fries and a really greasy & soggy sandwich. I ended up calling and whomever I spoke to blamed door dash and after calling door dash they blamed it on the restaraunt. Get it together people, just give me some damn fries! Neither party would compensate for the issue but said I could re-​order for another 8 $, so next time I’ll buy french fries from the store and skip the small business mishaps.

I first visited JJ Magoos about 3 to 4 years ago. I really love this place because the owner is such a great guy and involved with the community and so generous. The pizza is just icing on the cake! I like the salad bar, too, which is simple but fresh.
This is a neighborhood pizza joint where you’ll see a lot of locals hanging out and/​or having lunch during the business week. It’s a warm, welcoming, down-​to-​earth place that I will be visiting for many years to come.

I’m heading out to pick up another great pizza from J.J. Magoo’s in Los Gatos. Clearly there are many different types of Pizzas and as many different palates. Here’s my bottom line.
1. I like their Pizza! (Pepperoni or Sausage & Onion are my favorites)
2. I have never had a bad Pie from J.J.‘s
3. Always hot and fresh.
4. A clean restaurant!
5. Supports local community get togethers.
6. Families Welcome!
7. Did I say how much I like their Pizza!
