Delicious burger. The fries were a little mushy when we had them but the burger was really good. Friendly service. I just wish they offered gluten free buns.

Great place to grab a bite to eat. Love thier Black bean patty burger! Super tasty options for vegetarians. The shakes are sooo good, my kids love eating here. The only down size is it is a little on the pricy side. For three burgers, a med fry, and one large shake, is as much if not more than a sit down restaurant. The employees are super sweet and nice. All in all a win, if you don’t mind the price.

We have been coming here a lot! My kids really like the burgers. Good quality. They don’t seem to have a good system for take out orders though. When you go in to pick up a to go order there’s no clear place to wait. It doesn’t seem to make sense to have to wait in the long line of people ordering. That defeats the purpose of calling ahead in my opinion. The last time I ordered to go they called my name right as I walked in so I went over to pick it up. The girl said thanks, enjoy your food. I could have totally left without paying. When I asked where do I pay for a to go order she said to get in the super long line??? Other than that, the food is really yummy they just need to work out their procedures for to go orders…

For $ 3.49 for a small milkshake, it’s almost in a kids cup. However the quality of the milkshake makes up for the price & the cup. I ordered the little moo Oreo milkshake & it was super creamy & thick, just the way a milkshake is supposed to be. My plus one ordered a hot dog(with nothing on it, because he’s 5) & that itself was a tad bit on the saltier side. Overall I will be back & maybe I’ll try actual food.

Clean place, very convenient. In our ranking of places, Mooyah is in the same great class as Main Street Burger(better toppings), 5 Guys and In-and-out. The Mooyah burger is very, in fact, a little too juicy. The taste is delightful, and the juiciness helps out in really enjoying the fat. Great to catch a quick burger, especially in the Union Avenue area.

Great for what it is. You order at the counter, and wait at a table, then go get your tray when they call your number. Food was good, everything tasted fresh, and you can look straight into their kitchen from the order counter, so it’s clear that they make the burgers fresh. Great place for a quick lunch when running errands.

How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. We came here on a Sunday evening starving after a day of shopping. As soon as we entered, I begged to leave however we decided to just stick it out since I wanted a night off from cooking. We ordered two burgers with different toppings and a small fries. I hate the fact that they scream the order and no on seems to pay attention. Why scream?! We get our food pretty timely, but nothing seems fresh. The order is wrong even though the printout was right. So the cashier inputted our order correctly, but those making it didn’t know how to put toppings on or even the type of bun for that matter. Thank goodness neither of us are severely allergic to to anything we got from here or there would be trouble. We decided we needed ranch to go with our soggy fries so I went up to the counter. Stood there in what felt like forever. I left before I even got service as I felt ignored. 5 teenagers behind the counter and not one could acknowledge me. Given the price we paid tonight over $ 15 and the service or lack there of we received, I won’t be coming back here. Food doesn’t seem fresh and apparently neither is the service!

Decent burger. They have lots of options to customize your burger. Different buns, many toppings. They have regular fries and sweet potato fries! Yum! Service is good and establishment is clean and pleasant. Unfortunately, the MOOYAH Burger is VERY messy and way too juicy. «Too juicy»!!!, you say, «How can that be»?!! All I can say is, don’t get the burger to go. I got one to go and when I got home(8 minutes later), the bun is dripping wet and soggy with juice. Yuck! Had a better experience when I ate it there. Also, the hamburger patty kind of falls apart in you hands as you are eating it. All in all, not a bad choice if you are in the neighborhood. I just prefer Five Guys.

This place is in a shopping center, close to where I live. Just recently opened. There prices $$$ are high, but food is hot and yummy! I go here once in a while. Service is quick, which I like. They have TV’s which is nice. Don’t worry about parking, plenty of it. This place is recommended!

You guys need to get your act together. Take out food is all outside the wrapper in the take out bag. Terrible experience. Service needs to improve drastically.

Rating: 3.5 stars. This place seems to be popular as there was a constant stream of customers Friday for dinner. There was a line from the time we arrived at 7:30 until 9:00. All outside seatings were taken and we managed to grab a table inside by sending one person from our party to sit at the table while we waited in line to order. A lot of other families had the same idea. Comparison wise, the burgers here are similar to Smashburger, where the patty is smashed down. The low rating is mostly about the burger. I ordered a double but because of how the patties were smashed down, it felt like I was eating a single. The biggest issue I had with Smashburger was their burgers were greasy. This is the same issue I have with my Mooyah burger. My burger came out greasy with grease spots around my burger on the tray it was served on. My wife’s single patty wasn’t greasy like my double. We pretty much had the same toppings except I didn’t get lettuce or pickles with my order. I don’t know if the lettuce soaked up the grease in her burger. Our friend’s single patty also didn’t look greasy, but he said it tasted greasier than burger he had at The Habit, but to him that was a plus. The ordering concept here is interesting where the staff at the register yells out the order to the cooking station. This seems it could be error prone but we git all our food just as we ordered it. We got the shake fast before we got the meal. Mooyah has it down, where as last time I ordered a shake from Five Guys it took until we were mid way through our burger to call out our number for the shake. The banana shake tasted like fresh bananas with no artificial taste. Their portion size for large fries and sweet potato fries is gigantic. At the time of ordering, our cashier asked if we meant half and half. We didn’t think anything of it and just stated we wanted a large order of each. Basically the large size fries can easily feed a family of 4 or 5. Our party of 3 managed to finish the fries but had to take home the sweet potato.

With all the quality burger chains popping up like In-N-Out, Five Guys, Umami Burger and more, you’d think the burger scene would be pretty saturated. But Mooyah Burger immediately stood out and despite a busy and crowded debut, it looks like the real deal. The menu is straightforward and offers several burger options including single($ 5.89) or double, turkey burger, veggie burger, and a hot dog. You choose a few select condiments for an extra charge, notably cheese($ 0.79) and bacon($ 0.99) but the rest are included and unlimited. I loved all the veggie options and the sauce choices are extensive too. My order was ready in about 10 minutes with a line out the door and they do a good job presenting and piling the ingredients in an optimal manner. My order: Double Mooyah with Bleu Cheese — topped with fried onion strings, ultra fresh lettuce and tomato, and nicely sautéed onions. The Applewood smoked bacon was solid and the burger patty tastes fresh and almost home made as if you made your own patties. The bun was a touch cool and would have been better warm and toasted but the house baked bun was soft and absorbed all the burger juices. Sweet Potato Fries — a generous serving even for the single order. Again a touch cold, but tasty and delicious. Overall, had a great first visit to Mooyah. It’s better than Five Guys for me and while it won’t replace In-N-Out or Shake Shack, it has its own strengths and character(love all those topping!). Mooyah accepts credit cards including Amex. Fries are either hand cut or sweet potato and you finish with a drink or shake.

Clean place. Tony served me and he was thoughtful to mention that a medium fries is big so small would be a better size. The quality of the meat is great, perhaps one of the best in the burger chains. With that said it gets very sloppy eating the burger so make sure to grab plenty of napkins. Fries is good portioned but is a disappointment.

Happy National Double Cheeseburger Day! 9÷15÷2015 MOOYAH Burgers Fries & Shakes(MBFS) is a Plano, TX-based hamburger chain that is quickly expanding around the country faster than my beltline. The OG Plano store opened in 2007, and now only eight years later they are at nearly 100 franchises in the US! This LG location is the 2nd out of 3* franchises owned by local couple, Terry and Brit Ratto. MBFS is not your ordinary chain, as they focus on freshness and quality ingredients, instead of the usual frozen detritus you get in most burger joints. From freshly-cut Idaho potatoes and real Ice Cream Shakes, to freshly-baked buns – everything about MBFS says quality, quality, quality! Now, that’s all fine and good, but does that translate into tasty food?! Let’s find out… Burgers: Buns– The first thing you notice as you enter MBFS is the heavenly smell of fresh-baked white and wheat rolls. I’ve tried both, and while the wheat was good, you just can’t beat white bread on a burger. It’s cloud-like softness holds up to all juices without mushing up, and is the perfect thickness so that it doesn’t overwhelm the burger and toppings. 5* white/3.5*wheat Toppings– MBFS is very similar to 5Guys in that there’s no «set» toppings for your burger, as everything is à la carte and mostly free; with the exception of Cheese, Bacon, & Avocado. They also have a crazy variety of sauces(e.g., Cholula, Spicy Buffalo, Mooyah Sauce**, Spicy Ranch, etc). I haven’t tried any sauces as I like my burger dry, but my usual suspects(i.e., Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles, Grilled Mushrooms, Avocado and Cheese) for toppings have been fabulous and fresh on both visits. 5* Burgers– Proudly serving only fresh, 100% American-grown beef MBFS has an incredible beefy flavor and was cooked perfectly juicy. My only qualm is they do that weird meat tenderizer thing(kinda like Wendy’s) that gives the meat a bit of a mealy texture. It’s not as irksome as Wendy’s, but is a bit odd. 3.75* Fries***: Sweet Potato Fries(SPF) — SPF are starting to become pretty common place but usually not very good. These, however, are truly scrumptious! Crispy, soft and sweet. They’re so perfect I could eat a bushel. I don’t know what they put on them to make them so tasty, but I affectionately call it «crack spice.» 5* Regular Fries– Fresh, hand-cut fries are a rare find at a burger joint these days, but MBFS is the exception. While they were crispy and fluffy their flavor was missing something? Nevertheless, they’re still better than 90% of burger joints, but can’t compare to the SPF. 3.5* Milkshakes– Lots of great flavors and add-ons to give you the perfect shake experience. I tried the Strawberry-Banana and Hershey’s Chocolate and they were both good, but nothing great. The flavors are a bit muted and the shake is almost too thick making it hard to enjoy until it melts a bit. 3.5* Service & Ambiance– Both times the service has been really, really excellent as the people behind the counter were patient and helpful with navigating the menu and placing my order. The store is located in a nice strip mall that’s not too far off Highway 85, which makes it perfect for grab-and-go. Interior is clean, roomy, inviting and abound in Cow décor. 4.5* Value– Usually quality products result in low value, and MBFS is no different. Expect to pay around ±$ 12 – 15 for a burger, fries and a shake. This about on-par with other«high-end» burger places in the South Bay. I don’t mind shelling out if the taste is there, and MBFS delivers. 3* Quality ingredients, great taste and friendly service has skyrocketed MBFS into my current favorite burger place in the SJ area. While it’s not perfect – it’s pretty darn close. Highly recommended for a delicious Burger, amazing SPF and a good solid Milkshake. *The first location is in Morgan Hill( ), with a third undetermined location to open in South San Jose sometime soon. **In case you’re wondering Mooyah sauce is likened to Thousand Island dressing(i.e., ketchup, mayo, relish), or the«Special Sauce» on a McShitz Big Mac. ***Can’t decide??? They’ll do a 50⁄50 mix of Sweet Potato and Regular Fries at no charge!

Overall I think Mooyah is pretty good. The layout of the restaurant makes sense, the menu is well conceived and the staff seems like they really want to be there. That’s awesome. I also loved the huge Moodle Doodle chalk board for the kids to color. Food wise, the fries were great and the piles of potatoes in the open kitchen made it unmistakeable that the staff makes the fries onsite. Plus, the large order is very large! I can be less enthusiastic but still reasonably satisfied by my burger. My burger looked smushed, which a few other places in the area do as well. I don’t get that. I like a juicier, thicker patty. Despite the smushing, my burger was also still pretty greasy. The one topping I missed was a fried egg, which I would have added had it been available. I also don’t get serving the lonely looking burger alone on the huge metal tray. I’ve seen that before, but this practice makes the burger look tiny on the big honking cookie-sheet sized tray. The tray is so big it looks like the burger is missing its plate, when the tray is supposed to be the plate. No matter though. The experience is great and I was fine with the food. We’ll come back.

Mooya being a stones throw from my house is either the worst or best thing that ever happened to me. In all honestly anyone who knows me knows I LOVE burgers, LOVE fries and well a good milkshake is just icing on the cake. I’ve eaten at Mooya twice since they opened and plan to go back every couple weeks. I would probably go everyday if I could… No joke. The bun on the burgers is like others have mentioned the texture of a cloud. It’s probably the most perfect burger bun I’ve come across before. The meat is perfectly cooked and the toppings can be customized and are all included! Fries are skinny and crispy as they should be. And I can honestly say the M&M milkshake is so good I dream about it. The real whip cream and cherry on top complete it perfectly. Something SO awesome about Mooya is not only their proximity to my house and amazing food but the service is wonderful! Tons of friendly and knowledgeable staff here! Also, they have a loyalty email and text program where you get messages about deals and programs going on. Today I got one about a «No Kids Hungry» campaign they are doing along with a two for one burger deal– Philanthopic and Double burgers that’s a win! Enjoy Mooya!

Wow! Another amazing cheeseburger in my area?! Double thumbs up! My husband and I frequent Jersey Mike’s(right next store to MOOYAH), and have been eyeing MOOYAH ever since our first stop. Finally, we decided to go with a burger instead of a sandwich, and we were NOT disappointed. The ordering process is pretty easy, very easy to customize it to your exact tastes. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and the MOOYAH sauce(think In N Out). We ordered a medium fry for us to share, and he got a burger as well. Food came out relatively quickly, given they had to cook the burgers. The presentation was great, the burgers LOOKED amazing. The fries looked so tasty as well, we couldn’t wait to eat everything! Nothing disappointed. My cheeseburger was delicious, and my mouth is watering thinking about it right now. The fries were so great as well, and the medium was MORE than enough for two. Overall, GREAT burger. I will definitely be back. I’m counting down the minutes as we speak.

I ate here the day it opened, and although good, they messed up my order. Oddly, the burger was still good even though they put the two things I don’t like, relish and jalapenos; nothing else. I do NOT suggest take-out, as there was a mess by the time I got home that didn’t exist when I ate in the second time. The bread was fresh, burger tasty, a bit flat(likely fried). I like the sweet potato fries, but haven’t tried the shake or the regular fries yet. Cute little place, good food, etc. One drawback, no combos, other than that, I’m a fan. I will be back!

Always craving a good burger. The In N Out, Habit, Five Guys crowd just got another player here. Double patty cheeseburger with bacon, pickles and mooyah sauce. It’s a griddled patty on the flat top so it has that diner style cook. Good bun and toppings. Pretty tasty. It’s kinda far to make it a destination place but on this side of town there’s not a bunch of food choices so this makes a good go to
