I have used Bob multiple times over the past few years for periods of 3 – 18 months at a time. My primary goal has generally been weight loss and increasing my general fitness level. Each time he took a comprehensive look at my diet, fitness level, strength etc so that he could create a program that was specifically built for me and would be a recipe for success. We would also create goals from the beginning so that we could track my progress which was important for me to remain motivated. With that we jumped right in and he created a program with a mix of weights, cardio and plyometrics so that we were rarely doing the exact some set of exercises in the same order. That was important to me because I tend to get bored with repetitive type workouts which I don’t think is unique. What was equally important to the sessions while I was at his facility was that he closely guided my own workouts which consisted of most cardio. What is significant to note on the cardio is his influence with the introduction of a heart rate monitor for me. Prior to working with him I would be pushing my self to a level that would result in very inconstant success in the gym. It was a basic result of not knowing what I was doing. He did some tests with a heart rate monitor on the treadmill at his gym which was able to give him info which led to his recommendations for me when running on my own. This had an immediate impact on my cardio success. I rarely had«bad» days where I would hit the wall too soon and more importantly I progressed to levels I had not reached before. I will never go back to not watching my heart rate for cardio and with what I learned from Bob it is an invaluable tool for my success. The last and very crucial piece was my diet. Bob wanted to make sure I not only was eating healthy but also eating the right balance of foods at the right times to have energy for my workouts and generally feel good throughout the day. The wrong amount of different pieces of my diet would affect not only my energy but also general progress to my goals. I was literally guessing and wondering why some days I felt better than others. This was an important part to my success early on and really laid a foundation for what I think about in my daily life from now on from a diet perspective. Given I am not always perfect in this dept but I will say that I now know how to be successful and the results speak for themselves. When I follow what I have learned here I see results. Period. Speaking of results… When I first set foot at the Metabolic Project in 2008 I was 245lbs. Within 3 months I was around 200. Staying on track for the next 6 months I was in the 180 range and felt better than I had in a very long time. What is most important I finally had a good understanding of fitness and diet which I needed and will use forever. I will say during that time period I worked hard in and out of the gym but one thing I noticed is as soon as I veered from the program we laid out I went the wrong direction. If you are willing to work and listen, you will get results. I would highly recommend Bob. He really cares about you success and is a great motivator which along with his extensive experience in this field makes for a highly unique training environment. Thanks Bob!

I needed to lose weight for my Air Force fitness test. Bob, a certified nutritionist, made some corrections to my diet which ultimately resulted in me reaching my weight loss goal ahead of schedule. He’s also a US Cycle Team coach. He did a professional bicycle fitting for me, which resulted in longer, more comfortable, and funner cardio workouts on my bike. He designs custom workouts that take into account medical history, injuries, and limitations. The result is a safe exercise program, with goal oriented results that are achievable. Highly recommended!
