I love their sushi… always fresh and delicious. Been going to this little sushi bar/restaurant for the past 11 years… their sashimi is the best :)

Not legit. We did sake bomb and enjoyed here but sushi itself was not super good. Sorry

As a Japanese restaurant owner, my reviews of other Japanese/Korean owned sushi bars is more critical. If your idea of sushi/Japanese food is just rolls, stop reading here. Note to owner: your chefs behind the sushi bar have the personality of mop. Awful!!! No hello/welcome, no thank you/good bye. I would fire all of them if I was the owner here. Food: had the marinated Ika, it was fine… miso soup/good… Nigiri: sake/good hamachi/average at best uni/awful get a new vendor, try True World spicy hotate/scallop/average Nato roll/good Beverage prices/high/poor sake selections Overall, I would not come back. too many better Japanese and similar Korean owned places to waste your money here. The 5* reviews for this place are joke. Ambiance good… but very small. Servers were fine and again, no thank you upon exiting, big FAIL by the staff.

Yokohama is just not a place for true sushi lovers. The sushi rice was prepared with too much vinegar and the fish was bland. Yokohama is not using quality fish nor preparing the rice properly. With that in mind, we tried a roll with shrimp tempura instead of our usual fresh fish choices and found the tempura to be soft and soggy. So our search for quality sushi in Los Gatos continues.

Slow slow service… Plus the sushi was worse than grocery store sushi. It was very loosely rolled, flavorless, bland, and boring. We didn’t even finish it but ended up going to another sushi place that knows how to make sushi. So many better sushi places in the area!

Great spot to grab quality sushi in downtown Los Gatos. I love that it’s within walking distance from my office. I’ve been here twice now for a late lunch and both times the service has been very quick and efficient. Rolls are decently priced which is shocking for Los Gatos. Get the Hamachi Kama or any of their sashimi. You won’t be disappointed!

Came here during lunch on a Friday for a quick bite. Suprisingly, we were the only people in there at what would normally be a busy time… What we swallowed: SHARKSROLL: This roll was good and very tasty. No fishy smell and the color looked fresh. I was pleased with it. Since we were the only people there, they were very attentive.

I want to like this place, basically because my kids really like the teriyaki chicken. Unfortunately, with mediocre sushi, little to no ambiance and the service without a smile I just can’t give it high marks.

Nothing fancy, just great service and great product/fresh fish. Got the sashimi deluxe dinner. Not much to hide here. Good fish all around, nice healthy pieces and fresh full flavor.

Average Sushi, slow service. We’re waiting for 30 minutes. However the quality was not bad.

I decided to take my fiancée to a sushi place for the first time. I don’t like sushi, so I dont know what to look for in this kind of restaurant. My fiancée does like sushi and I tried to surprise her and take her to a place close to home. My mistake in choosing this place. I ordered the chicken teriyaki that came with rice, salad, and three small pot stickers. The chicken was a bit tough and chewy, the pot stickers were cold and flavorless. The salad was the best part. Fiancée ordered sushi, which to me is all the same. She said the flavor was okay but the pieced were not consistent as my picture below shows. Ingredients were missing which made some pieces less than what they were supposed to be. The restaurant was an «ok, tiny hole in the wall». Staff was friendly and average. Nothing spectacular about anything here. My fiancée would call this a McDonald’s compared to Mizu being a fancy restaurant.

Our favorite Japanese restaurant in the area. Very nice, cozy place with really great and authentic food. My wife and I come here once a week and we never had a less than excellent experience. The patio is a great place to stay when the weather is good(that means, 90% of the time in Los Gatos) and the service is always courteous. Perfect for bringing your dog, friends and family; highly recommend it!

My boyfriend and I have been regulars here for a while now and I usually don’t like to write a review until I have had multiplied good experiences. First of all this place is tiny, but a hidden sushi gem and I love it! Upon entering we have always been greeted by both the sushi chef and servers and are always promptly seated usually wherever we’d like. The service is great always friendly and comfortable with questions. They also always have some great suggestions if you just can’t decide. We also start with miso and edamame with tea. Our regular rolls are the spicy tuna. And the TNT or Dynamite roll, I can never remember the actual name but I just say that and they know what I mean. Sometimes we switch it up and say surprise us and it’s never failed to please. Food is great as well as service so that’s a five star from me.

Don’t know how the food is yet, but I’ve ordered my food more than 25 minutes ago and it hasn’t come up yet. That’s pretty long for a Sushi place, especially if you ordered the dinner combo which is 9 pieces of Nigiri, and a California roll. I would be more patience if I ordered something cooked, but a California roll should not take this long!

I highly recommend trying their crazy roll and their salmon appetizer — their fish tastes so fresh and delicious!

Yokohama is one of only 2 sushi restaurant in Los Gatos on N. Santa Cruz Ave. It has about 10 tables at best. The sushi menu is not big and has a lot of traditional Japanese sushi. They also have about 10 «American» style rolls that has everything but the kitchen sink. They also offer«real» crab California roll call the«California Special». You do have to find some humor in that. When I arrived at Noon on a Friday, they were very quiet. I was kind of nervous, but traffic was pretty bad getting to Los Gatos. Although after 1:00 p, every table was filled. In general, it’s a nice little place compare to the other sushi place in town. It offers a little bit of everything. I’d come back if I’m in Los Gatos.

I had the sushi and I was so impressed. I just moved from the east coast and had high expectations for California sushi, and I was not disappointed! It was a small but cozy place and it felt very authentic. Even though it was ½ full, it wasn’t too loud but didn’t feel awkward if my group got loud from time to time. Quick and flexible staff. Clean place, food presentation was beautiful, and overall great time.

My boyfriend and I love this place. The fish is always very fresh and well prepared, and everything we have had(in over 10+ visits) has been delicious. The dishes overall are quite authentic Japanese(fish cheeks, chirashi, sashimi), with a few«modern» additions, such as Hawaiian poki salad — and these are also done well! For drinks, the large house hot sake is very smooth and a great value. My personal sushi favorites are the Sunset roll(2 hamachi rolls with tobiko and quail egg) and the spicy scallop roll. I tend to like more authentic items, but you really can’t go wrong here. The staff has always been very easygoing and friendly, we really like the staff here. The service is smooth and as quick as I’d like it to be, without feeling rushed or hectic. We usually like to eat on the patio and enjoy the sunset. :-)

Service was attentive. Tea wasn’t scorching hot and was good to drink in a timely manner. They were great with refills. Sushi was fresh. Rolls were super yummy. Gyoza was fantastic. Being new to this area I haven’t found a sushi place that was both affordable and delicious. It’s somewhat hidden on Santa Cruz ave but worth the search! I highly recommend this place. We even got edamame on the house!!!

We went to Yokohama because our favorite sushi restaurant is closed on Sundays. It was OK, but I was a little disapointed as it was for Mother’s Day. Some of the rice grains on some of my sushi were dry to the point of being a little crunchy. My salmon sushi also had a slightly frozen texture as if it was not fully thawed, therefore not fresh. I might give it another try again only because there were so many favorable reviews. I know they were super busy with take-out orders so maybe it was just an off-day.
