Really great establishment. We were greeted so nicely. Went for a friend’s birthday and they even put decorations up! The sushi is delicious and a great selection of beers. Will definitely come back again.

Tony and Sue are great and the food is DELICIOUS… Tony takes his time creating beautiful and tasteful dishes. The food is always so fresh and has so much flavor. I have never been disappointing for as many years that I have been coming here. I would highly recommend you treat yourself to some amazing Sushi and Rolls. My favorite and goto is the Volcano Magura Roll(spelling?), it comes on a bed of greens with a great dressing, so no need to order a salad(even though, they are delicious as well). Everything we have every tried here is amazing. This is were my family wants to go for any special occasion. Thank you Tony and Sue.

LOVESUSHI E! Have been coming here for 5 years. Sushi E is a mom-and-pop restaurant. Tony is the only sushi chef(he has help with preparations) and usually his wife Sue is the only server. Its a small place, maybe 15 – 20 seats. Tony serves only the freshest fish, expertly prepared. For loyal customers he will throw in «Tony Special» to help you explore new tastes. Everything’s good here, although I typically get the basic nigiri and rolls. Try«Yakumi style» for the albacore Rob

My family has been going to SushiE since I can remember. Sue and Tony make you feel like you’re at home and treat you like family. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Their menu is packed will all sorts of stuff, you really can’t go wrong. If you’re looking for a great place for lunch or dinner, SushiE is the place to go!

Seared scallop salad — scallops were not seared, 100% raw, uncooked and cold. Not OK. Also got the sushi order wrong.

Ordered my food through Unilocal Eat24, very easy to place order online. I ordered the lunch bento box with 3 items. Chicken teriyaki, California rolls(6pcs), sashimi tuna(3pcs), salad and soup all for $ 12.99. Order was ready for pick up within 20 mins and when I got there, there was no wait, everything was ready to go. Which was good for me since I was on my lunch break. Food was good I enjoyed it.

Came here on a weekday for an early dinner. The restaurant was completely empty– not a great sign. The surly waitress was indifferent as she took my order; no smile, no making sure I needed anything else. Ordered the Three Amigos rolls and a green salad. Sushi seemed like the fish had been around a while; definitely did not taste fresh. The green salad was fairly large but average. Thereafter, I was ignored by the waitress. Didn’t ask if I wanted more water or if my meal was fine, if I needed anything. Needed more wasabi, oh well! She ended her wonderful service by slapping the check on my table, no eye contact, no thanks or ‘see you next time’. LOL. Poor food, empty restaurant, moody and indifferent staff. I’m pretty sure you can find better sushi elsewhere in the Bay Area.

This is a place my girlfriend and I love to visit. They are so nice there, they really treat you like they appreciate your business. The food is great, too. All smiles and good food. Good place for a date.

A sushi roll with alfalfa sprouts and Rice Krispies is a little odd in my book. And my miso soup came after dinner instead of before. An odd experience.

Typical Korean-owned and operated Japanese restaurant. Service is not fast, but they’ve always been very friendly. Food is not great: meats are a bit on the dry side and pounded thin; haven’t had fish there that tasted super fresh. Portions and pricing reasonable. Nice, quiet little restaurant.

The sushi I’ve had there is always really super good. Especially Tony’s additional touch on the sushi makes the sushi so addictive. Tony and Sue pay very close attention to all of my needs and is willing to go above and beyond. my recommendation would be to order red dragon roll. Also if you don’t know what to order he will sometimes give his own recommendations.

Easy to rate. So easy. Hands down the best sushi I have ever had in the Bay Area. Run by a husband and his wife, you won’t have the ritz and glam of the bigger sushi restaurants, however they more than make up for it in the quality of the fish and the immaculate attention to the finishing touches on the taste. I don’t mean to toot my own horn but I do have extensive experience with many sushi establishments. My parents were former owners of a sushi restaurant and I’ve had my share of them taking me out to try sushi at other restaurants. I can taste the difference between fresh sushi and stale sushi, well made miso soup and poorly over bonitoed and watery miso soup. People who go to sushi restaurants and complain about chicken teriyaki or udon. Silly. I go to sushi restaurants for sushi. I am not quite certain what the actual nigiri sushi is called but the owner, Tony told me it’s very popular with Koreans after he discovered that I was also Korean. He actually just made it on the house for me. It was fish, some spicy seasoning, a thin slice of lemon, and some sort of leaf. Delicious. Do you get that kind of service at other sushi restaurants? Probably not. The piece de resistance is the Red Dragon Roll. A kingly roll and maybe a bit much for the average sushi roll eater but it is a flavor explosion. You can’t get this Red Dragon Roll anywhere else. If you go to this sushi restaurant, the Red Dragon Roll is a staple. A MUSTORDER. Red Dragon Roll. Remember this. It is a 1-man show with a helper or two so don’t expect quick and poor quality.

Very fresh sushi with friendly proprietors. A nice neighborhood place. I am particularly fond of the Grilled Ebi(shrimp) salad. Super tasty and I love the dressing. My husband LOVES the teriyaki chicken, California rolls, and tempura vegetables. I agree, they are very good. The dragon roll and potstickers are also favorites. As a bonus, once Sue gets to know you, you are treated like family and greeted with a cheerful hello.

I confess. I’ve only been here once but I witted because of the number of dishes we ordered, the experience I had, one of my party members’ multiple experiences at this restaurant a plethora of times, and the food. Oh! And lastly, i’d like to remember what I got! Baked scallop rolls — few in number but large in size! Donkatsu donburi — we ordered this for our 2YO. He enjoyed but he loves everything rice and fried!(Bad mommy! We need him to love all the green veggies!!!) Beef udon — the udon broth was good. I wasn’t a fan of the beef because it was pretty tough. It’s probably my personal taste but I prefer the udon that has the beef ribeye that’s used for Korean bulgogi… Is that my koreanese talking? Perhaps. And I guess that’s not legit japanese but I’m just sayin’! Rainbow rolls — standard rainbow rolls Nabeyaki udon — standard nabeyaki udon with all the seafoods We came on a weeknight and it was pretty quiet. There were few patrons but the service was excellent. Being that this is located in a small shopping center and suites are small … And … Well, it’s California! The restaurant probably couldn’t handle too many patrons anyway. The servers stayed on tops of waters and were super welcoming to my 2YO. You know when you walk into some restaurants, they don’t REALLY want your kids around. You know that half smile? Well, there was none of that going on. It probably has nothing to do with the fact that my 2YO is super cute but… Yeah, they loved him! :) and for that I also love them! Certainly worth a try! You may enjoy it! And the owners are super duper sweet, too!

Even though I have lived 1 minute away from this place for as long as they’ve been in business, I never tried Sushi-E til today! Definitely hit the spot — and they were so nice to serve us when we walked in 30 minutes before the evening shift was officially open. We tried the miso soup — A, spicy tuna roll — A and the paradise roll — A. No A+‘s but it was all yummy. I do think for the amount I paid(about $ 30 for 2 people) I’m used to getting more food, but it’s ok. They weren’t playing any music but I’m sure they do when they are actually open? I also liked the water — it was iced and had a lemon slice. I’m pretty picky about my water :) Definitely a great place to stop by if I’m feeling lazy but probably better for the pocket to go somewhere a bit further.
