Real intimate Italian atmosphere with Italian lights, soft Italian music, and wonderful 4 person tables with comfortable wood chair. Homemade bread, I love this place, food was served hot and was delicious. We will be back.

Hands down the best calamari I’ve ever had! My boyfriend and I decided to try something new for Valentine’s Day and this was a pleasant surprise. I honestly feel like you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I’d definitely recommend the butternut squash ravioli!

Spumoni me again! Perfect size after the very generous chicken broccoli penne pasta special we had. The minestrone was rich thick and full of flavor with a side of garlic bread that was par excellence!

Great little restaurant! Very nice and friendly staff! The chicken parmigiana was delicious! And the free spumoni shooter if you check in was a perfect treat with a cup of coffee! First time there and it will not be my last

Very good lasagna covered in their excellent Sunday gravy sauce. Also good reviews from others in our group regarding the eggplant parmesan and the Sunday special,(although I thought the chicken in penne with gorgonzola sauce was far over-dosed with garlic, my wife really liked it). We both thought the tomato/basil/mozzarella salad included liberal use of one of the best basalmic vinegars ever. The service was friendly and not bad on timing. Only the inadequate wine list prevents a 5 star rating. Everything is just«house wine» and the server did not even know what brand of wine it was. It was truly unremarkable. I should have asked if brining in my own bottle and paying a corkage fee is an option for the future.

Nice resturant. Food was good but not amazing. Kids menu in small dishes. Service is little slow althought the place was empty.

Lovely restaurant. Really great service. I had their meatballs… made in house. Very tasty and just a hint of spicy. Would like to return to try some of their many sauce choices.

First visit here and it seems like a solid place. I was with a larger group, so we kind of overwhelmed the place on a Sunday evening, but the one gal serving handled everything very well. Prices are all reasonable. I had the cannelloni — it was pretty good, though it seemed the sauce held more flavor than the meat inside the pasta tubes. I kept wanting the meat to have a bit more spice. Everyone’s dishes looked great, and I’ll be back for the butternut squash ravioli and shrimp primavera. And I think I can honestly say I’ve never had spumoni, but since it was a Unilocal deal, I gave it a shot. That’s pretty darn tasty! A nice little cap to the enjoyable evening.

We moved into Los Osos this weekend. Luckily we found Jimmy Bump’s right down the street, the parking lot was full so we stopped in. Warm, friendly, and delicious. Perfect to fill that Italian craving even if you don’t have one. Defiantly worth a meal, this is a «family place» not the Olive Garden. …take the cannoli

Went there last night for my birthday. Upon entering we were told there were no calzones or pizzas. Apparently someone had just ordered 10 pizzas to go, and so no one else could get a pizza that night. Strange, but ok, I like pasta too. On to the meal: I had the pesto fettuccine. Once I doused it in red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, it was pretty tasty. Without those additions it was bland. My dad had angel hair with sunday gravy. He liked it. My kiddo had the kids pasta with butter. She liked it. That is all.

I have been camping and vacationing in Los Osos/Morro Bay for many years. I’ve had a lot of great surprises and Jimmy Bumps is one! The lot was empty and I know we where ahead of the early birds. Our waitress was lovely. The food was sooo sooo sooo good. I had the special and My mom had the pesto shrimp. The seafood was so fresh.

We stayed in Los Osos at an AirBnB and this was recommended highly on Unilocal.Since we could walk there, it was a no brainer. The place is a hole-in-the-wall that God probably pass up if not for the reviews. Thankfully we took a chance! This hubs had linguine with red clam sauce and it was a-mazing. Garlicky, clammy goodness. Delicious. I had lasagna — I love lasagna and yet I’m picky about it. The sauce was so good but it wasn’t the best lasagna I’ve had. We also ordered a side of meatballs for our daughters and the hubs and I kept scooping them up with the delicious bread. In short — if you’re in the are and looking for really good Italian, I wholly recommend it. As we didn’t eat in and the hubs walked to pick it up, I can’t speak to service.

We were staying in Los Osos, looking for a good restaurant here or Morro Bay, and the reviews on Jimmy Bumps looked so good we thought we’d try it. And praise the Lord we did! Thank you reviewers, you guys were spot on with this place. Small Italian hole in the wall place with delicious food! Garlic bread: perfect(not too greasy) on ciabatta bread Homemade lasagna: very good, marinara sauce was delicious and perfectly spiced(definitely homemade) Special Shrimp and Bay Scallop Linguini: my husband said«so wonderful, best pasta dish I’ve ever had!» Sauce was the perfect amount of sauce for the noodles and balanced very well with flavors. Definite must have. Butternut Squash Ravioli: rich and delicious! Pesto sauce was a perfect pairing with the squash. Super yummy! The wait was 20 – 30 minutes but they got us in before 10, but we would have waited an hour easily for this place. Our server, Diana, was sweet and attentive. She gave good advice on the food and made the experience perfect. One of the owners came out and said hi, as well. You can tell they are proud of their food and it shows :) Thanks for the recommendation fellow Unilocal-ers. Passing it along to the next vacationers to come along :)

This neighborhood restaurant is perfect as it is. It isn’t, nor does it try to be, overly pretentious or exclusive in anyway. There are plenty of those around and they are usually mediocre. At Jimmy Bump’s, It is all about simple dishes at a modest cost and hometown service. Thanks to the entire«crew» at Jimmy Bump’s for keeping it real!

This is definitely a worthy dining experience. The atmosphere is very simple but the food is sophisticated and complex. The special tonight was a shrimp and scallop over linguine with a white wine cream sauce. It was hot, creamy, with a lovely presentation and perfectly prepared shrimp. The dish of the night was the butternut squash ravioli. Oh my goodness: what a divine dish! Velvety, creamy, sweet. Perfect dish. For an appetizer, get the garlic bread which is a perfectly buttered and broiled focaccia. The pasta fagiole(«fazool») is perfect! The dessert selections include cheesecake, tiramisu, Spimoni and… wait for it… cannoli. Yes. Cannoli. We will be back.

My girlfriend and I ended up here at the recommendations of our AirBNB host while we are visiting Hearst Castle. Jimmy Bump’s is a very homey place. It feels like it’s a family dining room of a house. Diana was a very friendly waitress and very welcoming! The atmosphere of this place is downright comfortable. If this place is closer to OC, I would be a regular. The food was great. We ordered canneloni, shrimp and scallops linguini, and garlic bread to start. The home made tomato sauce was very delicious and very hearty, the linguini white sauce — creamy yet not overwhelming. The scallops and the shrimp were succulent and moist. If you’re looking for a down home Italian meal at a very affordable price, come visit Jimmy Bump’s.

Hands down this is the best Italian food I’ve ever had here in the States! This is what Italian food was meant to be… And the service is pretty great too, I can hardly wait to come back. Be sure and get something with their sunday gravy, it is everything you could hope for an Italian sauce!
