He have been big fans of the pastries, especially the four berry pie. Recently they added dinner and are doing an amazing job. We had the three cheese lasagna and salad and everybody in our group had to taist it, it was that good. Looking for a reasonably priced casual dinning experience in Lotus look no further.

My family and I stumbled upon this little jewel after a long day of rafting and seeing a sign for a place that said they served coffee. Upon entering two ladies in the front welcomed us warmly. My eyes were immediately drawn to the deliciousness that called to me from behind the glass case. OMGosh for starters there was pecan pie, cherry pie, apricot and peach pie, 4 berry pie, the forever classic apple pie, did I mention they have fresh baked pies? But wait… there was more yumminess to be had. Brownies, lemon bars, some kind of coconut bars, chocolate biscotti, chocolate earthquake cookies, braided something or other pastries with fruit in them, flourless chocolate cake, plain croissants, maple pecan croissants, quiche, some turnover/calzone thingies, fresh baked loaves of breads — some with garlic, some with cheese. My family and I couldn’t decide which pie to get and when my daughter asked the nice lady(later learned she was the owner) if she could get ½ of the apple pie and ½ of the cherry pie, she said she could make it happen. So along with the ½ and ½ we got a pulled pork calzone, a meatball marinara calzone, a ham and swiss quiche(for morning), a chocolate biscotti, a loaf of cheese bread and of course the original reason I went in… a white chocolate mocha! And just in case any doubters might say, «sure everything looked and tasted good, you just finished a long day of rafting.» Alls I have to say to that is I KNOW it’s good because we went BACK the very next morning to get more goodies to bring home with us and as I sit here back home and Unilocal is my witness… I’m nibbling on a lemon bar AND a chocolate earthquake cookie and I may or may not have eaten a maple pecan croissant during the 3 hour drive home. You better believe that we will be back!

Sierra Rizing did our wedding cake and cupcakes and it was all amazing! I asked her to do a naked cake and it came out perfect. The cupcakes were so cute and delicious. As beautiful as everything was, I thought it would cost a fortune, but the prices were so reasonable and she delivered and set the cake and cupcakes out for us. We also got pastries and coffee for the morning of the wedding and both were awesome! The chocolate croissant was my favorite. We highly recommend Teal and her team at Sierra Rizing!

A wonderful selection of pastries. Great service and very friendly people working here. Wifi available and they’ll give you the password upon request. Cool breakfast options. Very nice outdoor seating. If you are in this area and want to enjoy your coffee, pastries or to have breakfast, this is a very cool spot. They close early in the afternoon though.

Teal is amazing! She baked our cake and catered our rehearsal dinner. You can taste the love and pride she puts into her food! Everything was excellent, I would 100% refer and use Teal in the future!

The rhubarb raspberry pie looked so good we ordered one. It tasted as good as it looked, Full of fresh rhubarb, not canned, it was a bargain at around $ 13.00 The pastries also look very tempting, especially the bear claws.

The bakery has done breakfast catering for me and it was wonderful. Home made goodies and fresh fruit. Nicely presented, delivered and set up on time(even a little early). I will be hiring them for lunchtime catering, also. In my job, it’s very important for me to have someone dependable. I also like the fact that the food is very tasty and I know they use fresh and healthy ingredients whenever possible since I have eaten at the bakery many times. Love it!

Our motorcycle club just hosted a weekend event at the American River Resort. We arranged for them to set up and deliver both our Saturday night meal and our Sunday morning breakfast for 21 people. Both meals were extraordinary! The scones in the morning were even still warm when she delivered them. She came back a few hours after the meal to pick up all of her lovely serving pieces. There was more than enough food for our group, we all went home with leftovers. A great value for such amazing food,

I stopped by here feeling terrible, on my way home from getting asthma medication. But then there they were, looking right into my eyes. Two, beautiful brown, expressive, um, slices of pumpkin bread. I knew I wanted some of that after first glance. And it did not disappoint :). This location is great — right in the valley next to what I am assuming is the Coloma river, surrounded by mountains. The food was excellent, and I would suggest a stop off at this coffee house/bakery if you are anywhere near the area.

I do have to say they do have really good pastries, pies, coffee ect… The one thing that makes me unhappy with this place is the agonizing long wait if you order anything besides drip coffee and a pastry. The customer service is friendly, but it takes a very long time for them to make espresso drinks, breakfast or warm pastry items up. I’ve had to wait for thirty mins or so for breakfast I’ve ordered, and there have only been a few people there.

Sierra Rizing did my daughter’s wedding cake. The did an awesome job! Very customer oriented. The owner is very easy to work with and treated us well. She took her time and let us try a variety of cakes(cup cakes) right out the oven warm to help us decide which one would work for us. They delivered on time and we are just very pleased with the. We’ve been ordering baked good from Sierra Rizing for the past year. Croissants, orange cranberry loaves, banana bread… all flavorful, excellent quality and reasonably priced. Typically can pick up your order the next day. We always have some of their baked goods in our freezer. It’s our go-to bakery.

Absolutely loved the catering at this past Saturday’s wedding at the American River Resort! The food was just to die for. Salad dressings were on point along with the Rosemary Chicken. The cake and dessert were just amazing! Serious tasty treats :)

Great place for quick pastry & coffee before your raft trip. My personal favorites is the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie. I’m not sure why but their iced latte’s are better tasting than their hot ones. They just came up with a super great idea, set up an express coffee and pastry line outside, which I recommend, inside takes a long time. Sierra Rizing has a great atmosphere and awesome vibe. The customer service is pretty okay too.

I hired Teal to do our wedding cake and cater a breakfast the morning of our wedding day and she was so amazing. First the breakfast came right on time and her assistant Blue was there to help with everything too. The quiche was so delicious and the pasties were super fresh and soft. Then she came back a few hours later to drop off the cake and cupcakes. All we did was leave the cake plates and flowers on the table and she came and set everything up. The table looked gorgeous. Not to mention the cake and cupcakes tasted so good. I would highly recommend Teal if you are planning a wedding or event in the El Dorado/Foothill area.

It was a drizzly morning and my first visit at the Garden Valley Farmer’s market but the brightest part was the event was the amazing goodies that showed up at their table. We got a rhubarb/cherry pie that used REAL cherries! Not only did it look picture perfect, it was the best pie I’ve ever eaten. The bear claws were stuffed with the yummy almond paste and the pastry perfect. Can’t wait to go to Lotus for more!

I ordered a omelette and try didn’t put cheese on it because I didn’t circle what kind on the menu below what I wanted. Odd that it says bread and cheese choices for an egg and cheese sandwich. I actually ordered the egg and cheese build your omelette. It said egg and cheese… So when they didn’t put on cheese I brought it up. She brings it back with a side of melted cheese on another plate. Ridiculous. The waitress acted like I’m an idiot. She was projecting. Who doesn’t take back a plate and melt cheese on an omelette?

It sounds like maybe their cakes are pretty darn good, but this review is just for coffee and snacks. First off if you are rafting/camping with one of the companies surrounding the shopping center they are located in this is a very convenient stop if you are needing food and coffee. They have a great outdoor seating area and when we were there they even had live music playing at 8am… pretty cool. On the weekends they will be PACKED, everyone camping in the surrounding area will pack in here all messed up from sleeping on the ground and cranky wanting their coffee, so be ready for that. I ordered a mexican hot chocolate, which was just hot chocolate with cinnamon in it, not exactly a «mexican» hot chocolate, but still pretty good. We shared a strawberry cream cheese croissant(SOGOOD) and a cajun meat pie thingy. The meat pie was tasty, but kind of dry, could have use some kind of sauce inside, and not spicy in any way(great for me since I’m a big spicy wimp, but not if you were expecting cajun to be spicy… that would be silly right?) On a side note… on their lovely patio with live music playing there were several tables, but two of them were taken up by one person each. Neither of them eating or drinking anything; both just reading the paper and taking up space. Mean-while there are many people just milling around for lack of seating trying(unsuccessfully) to eat their food and drink their coffee while standing. This is an example of unacceptable manners people. In a busy restaurant situation it is common courtesy to relinquish your table as soon as you are done eating. Especially if you are the only one sitting at a table that could seat 4 people!!!(Argh!)

Teal and her crew did an amazing job!!! We recently hired Teal from Sierra Rizing Bakery to create our Wedding Cake Dream! And that she did! We came to Teal a few months back with the request of making us a Fun-fetti Wedding cake which my wife and I love so dearly! =) And she gladly accepted the challenge and created a beautiful cake! My wife had asked her to create Ruffles to kinda mimic a wedding dress and the final outcome was absolutely B-E-A-UTIFUL!!! The desserts were absolutely amazing and delicious! Teal was such a pleasure to work with and very reasonably priced! She came and set up the Cake and cupcake tower and made it look so inviting! I will definitely keep Sierra Rizing in mind for any future celebrations! Thanks again Teal! Don & Nicole Younker
